Amy is still trailing Warren in delegates.  I’d be okay with her but she’s way behind in the game as far a money, outreach to POC communities, or any serious ground game in Super Tuesday states. She went all in in Iowa and got smoked.  Her debate performance, subsequent media fawning, and Warren media erasure was mostly responsible for the NH results.

She has an outside shot but not nearly in as good a position as four other candidates to compete for the nomination.

This is super rich, my friend. Ya girl’s 2019 rise was built on media fawning and a media erasure of the other serious female (Harris).  “She got smoked in Iowa” .... Liz cratered in NH.

It’s the new thing. Thanks NYT

Amy's more recent polls have her with less than 1% of black support and about 1% with racial minorities (black, hispanic, asian, etc).  She makes Mayor Pete look like Obama with minorities.  She ran tough and hard in two lily white states but there really is a very small path for her to the nomination.  Even if she's really running for VP that could be seen as a hindrance.

You’ve been telling me for a year it was going to be Biden based on ”polls”.  You think Amy is going to finish this thing ahead of Warren in final delegates?  The reality is none of us knows much of anything except this country is beyond fucked. Harris did get screwed in much of the same way Warren is now, so I’ll give you that.

Amy is one of the few in this field I would vote for.  Not too left field.  Probably a oss up for #1 or 2

No way I vote for Sanders, Bloomberg, or Warren

Not my first choice but I do think she would be the best bet in the general election.

I'm just getting tired of the constant clown show, so I'm happy with someone who  can manage to just be a steward.  Klob probably fits the bill better than anyone.

agreed.  bernie - too socialist,  pete - too gay, biden - too alzheimers.  i like amy and elizabeth and think both could sway a few independents and even republicans, and beat the donald.

In a brokered convention, don't count her out.  She's the only one that everyone could live with.

If Bernie has a substantial lead in delegates going into the convention and a brokered convention hands the nomination to Amy Klobuchar, I guarantee you Bernie's supporters will not "live with it."

Can we PLEASE get through more than 2 contests before we declare that Bernie is going in 1 shy of a majority and having it stolen from him?

Brokered convention means Bern doesn’t have a substantial lead.

He's gonna end up with a majority and we're still going to have some posters here hinting that the DNC should absolutely fuck him over and pick someone else anyway, while lamenting the fact that his supporters will be unreasonably outraged if that were to happen.

Amy had a week to figure out the President of Mexico's name, and she still fucked it up.

Who gives a shit?  By all means, let's keep hacking away at tiny indiscretions and slips of the tongue.

Yea.... I'm gonna count her out.  No minority support.  She's done.

Time for Klobs to resign from the Senate with the failure to prosecute an out of control cop???

And this is not to call out anyone for supporting her before this news broke. No one knew about it. She fucked up.

It's probably not resign-from-the-Senate bad.  It may be get-her-ass-stomped-in-the-next-primary bad.

I'm no fan of hers, but Dems need to quit with the resigning over old or minor shit.  The GOP doesn't give a fuck, and won't resign unless there is a felony indictment and even then, its 50/50.  Dems can't keep tying their own hands.  If its bad, and even if you feel bad about it, wait for the next primary and then drop out of the primary race in disgrace if that's what you want to do.   Appointments are a shitshow.

I'm not particularly a fan or not of Klob, but this is a myopic view. In the other thread it was shown she sent it to the grand jury and they failed to indict. She did her job, the grand jury not so much.

She was in the Senate when that decision was made not to indict.

No need for republicans to make up lies and distort shit to ruin Democrats - we’ll happily do it ourselves.

This.  Resign from the Senate.  That's fucking lunacy.  Probably torpedos her chances for Veep and any higher elected office in the short-term, but let's come back to planet Earth.  Unless more information comes out like she buried evidence or made back room deals on it, this is a bad look for her which gives her a ceiling for awhile.
