yeah, this is trending in good direction, but if it has a day soon where it decides to dip down around $5.50 I'm going to be persuaded into doubling up

Yeah, right now its a 4.5B company with trivial revenue. I think the stock will still be pretty volatile until they have a couple of quarterly reports showing adoption of Anktiva and validating whatever revenue projections people have been betting on.  It wouldnt shock me to see you get a chance at $5.50 shortly, but I doubt you'll sniff that price next year.

Zinc battery firm Eos agrees US$315 million facility with Cerberus Capital, retires existing senior loan

US zinc hybrid cathode battery storage manufacturer Eos Energy Enterprises has agreed to a financing package with private equity firm Cerberus, comprised of separate loan and revolver facilities totaling US$315 million.

The financing from an affiliate of Cerberus Capital Management comprises a US$210.5 million delayed draw term loan partially dependent on achieving operational milestones, and a US$105 million revolver that Eos can draw upon at Cerberus’ discretion.

Eos said the funding will support its plan to scale operations and execute on its path to profitability, with losses narrowing in recent quarters. It manufactures a proprietary zinc-based battery which it sells to system integrators for projects with up to 12 hours of required discharge duration.

The company will use the proceeds to retire its existing $100 million senior secured term loan on favourable terms, which it said will strengthen its balance sheet. It said it has reached an agreement to extinguish that debt for US$27 million, of which US$20 million has been paid with the remaining US$7 million payable over the next 12 months.

Eos CFO Nathan Kroeker said: “The strategic investment announced today, combined with Eos’ highly efficient manufacturing capacity model, supports our capital needs as we execute on Project AMAZE. We look forward to working with Cerberus and their strong network to continue driving down product costs, improving performance of our storage systems, and developing financing alternatives for our customers

EOSE +.20 to $1.06.

Whats another 50% of the company, lulz

Quote

As part of the strategic investment, assuming the delayed draw term loan is fully funded and depending on the Company’s ability to achieve the operational milestones, Cerberus will receive penny warrants and non-voting convertible preferred stock equivalent to 33% with the potential to reach 49%, depending on the achievement of operational milestones, of the outstanding equity of the Company, on a fully diluted basis. Initial funding of $75 million in gross proceeds was received at closing on June 21, 2024, and Cerberus was issued 43.3 million penny warrants and shares of non-voting redeemable non-convertible preferred stock with a liquidation preference equivalent to 31.9 million shares of common stock in connection with this initial funding.

So is AMYZF basically dead at this point?  I think it's at 0.07.  What a dump.

AMY has enough cash to be solvent for at least 3 1/2 years, but, yes, it’s dead money as lithium is in oversupply.  Some analysis don’t think the lithium market will bottom until 2025.  Hurry up and wait.

IBRX +.66 to $7.16.  Waiting to see the last short interest report which, I believe, is due out next week.

IBRX shorts only declined by a little over 27,000 shares. Still over 53.4 million sold short…about 33% of the float.  The average daily volume has declined in the past month, so it’s now just over 11 days to cover.  IBRX’s website says, “ Meeting scheduled with FDA in June to discuss path to registration filing of ANKTIVA plus checkpoint inhibitors in 2nd – and 3rd-line NSCLC patients whose cancer previously did not respond to checkpoint therapy.”  If the FDA told IBRX they could market to 2nd and 3rd line NSCLC, it’s very possible we get an outstanding short squeeze.

I just sold my allotment of 3M and about to sell all of my MNST stock.

What to do with the $40K?

(Obviously not enough for 2 chicks at the same time. And I don't do blow, yet.)

Surly posters need to promote Harrison Staffords positions like the media covers Keith Gill; first we need a catchy poster name (like Roaring Kitty and Deep Fucking Value).
Looking for suggestions to promote the Surly Stonk Savant to the financial media; and of course we can all go along for the ride.

It's not a stonk but ASML as a long term hold.

You’re being very kind and I’m flattered you would consider this, but until one of IBRX, UUUU, GERN, EOSE, RVPH, or AMYZF takes off and makes us some serious ca$h, there’s no reason to promote my picks or give me a catchy poster name more so than any other Surly poster.  However, when that day comes, I kind of like the poster name Flying Chards of Glass.

I’d take a position in both IBRX and GERN.  Both are biotechs and both have had cancer drugs recently approved by the FDA.

IBRX’s Anktiva was approved on April 22 for the treatment of bladder cancer and IBRX began shipping Anktiva two weeks after approval.  These sales should be reflected in IBRX’s Q2 earnings.  As more and more healthcare plans allow for Anktiva reimbursement, earnings should continue to grow in each successive quarter for the foreseeable future as Anktiva becomes the standard of care for the treatment of bladder cancer.  But, that’s just the start of the story. IBRX, per their website, met with the FDA in June to get the green light to use Anktiva for the treatment of 2nd line and 3rd line lung cancer. As Anktiva is already an approved drug for bladder cancer, label expansion is not usually as difficult as a new set of trials.  IBRX also has ongoing trials using Anktiva in conjunction with other drugs/vaccines to treat colorectal cancer, ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, glioblastoma, and leukemia and all these are in phase 2 trials.  There’s also phase 1 trials for HPV, advanced solid tumors, non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and HIV also marrying Anktiva with other drugs/vaccines as treatment.  Go to ImmunityBio’s website Immunitybio.com and read about what this company is doing.

GERN’s drug, Rytelo (formerly Imetelstat), was approved on June 6 and is used for treating transfusion-dependent anemia in patients with lower-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), a group of blood cancers.  I think GERN is a big time takeover target and (if there’s a buyout) goes at 4x the current sp. Maybe more.  If Big Pharma won’t pony up the big $$ to buy GERN, I still expect the sp to go much higher as Rytelo sales start to come in and the drug is approved in additional indications (mainly MF and AML).  Buyout or no buyout, you should make money…unless something comes out of left field that is completely unforeseen.

Good to see them actually begin delivering. I would like this to go to $10 please. emoji28.png

AMYZF is now revenue producing with more to come.  Ditto on the $10.  I have 125,000 shares and when it hits that sp, I’ll rent a party room in Austin and drinks are on me.

@Harrison Stafford Still in on ALT?  I made some decent coin during Rona on this one.  Went back in at $4.55 earlier this year for a small position.  Lots of Institutional holders at ~62%.  Seems as though a buyout from a bigger fish is the hope at this time.

No, haven’t had a position in ALT for several years.  It ran to $30 in 2020 or 2021 and I sold it around $18 on the way down for a triple.  As far as buyout candidates go, I like GERN.  They had a blood cancer drug approved by the FDA in June and are direct competitors to both Merck and Bristol-Myers Squibb.  My guess is the buyout happens in 9 months to a year.

So what competitor of CrowdStrike should we all dump our money into today?

SentinelOne (S) is what I have been considering.  Not because I'm IT knowledgeable, but from browsing reddit and a few tech forums. It may have already captured a good portion of the short term gains however. Most of these solutions are now sold on annual subscriptions, so even if there is a sizeable migration to other solutions, it doesnt happen overnight. I figure it will probably settle back down and then I might jump in.

This morning, GERN’s Rytelo has been established the as standard of care in transfusion-dependent myelodysplastic syndrome by the National Comprehensive Cancer Network (NCCN).  NCCN sets the standard of care for various cancers.  Hence, the bump in today’s GERN sp.
