I’m about to become a believer. I tried to sell them some tech a few years back and then last time I was in Midland I stopped by their “spaceport”. I’ve been of the opinion they were a total scam but now they have satellites scheduled for launch. My son who is military loaded up on their stock last year unbeknownst to me until yesterday.

New IPO on SOFI Invest on 8/21 for Breathe BioMedical Inc. (BRTH) with issue price range of $4-$6/share for ~2.6m shares.

BRTH focuses on breathing tests that detect early-stage breast cancer.

Anyone taking a position on this?

Do you have a good sense of the science behind the concept?  I would be leery of an  IPO attempting to raise $8-10M dollars when they are likely 3 years away from approval/revenue. It screams "we have run out of VC's to give us money, tapped out our friends and family, and have no other way  of raising funds."

Quote

Breathe BioMedical is in the development stage of our Breast Cancer Breath Test, as an adjunct to mammography screening in women with dense breast tissue. Over the next two years we have verification and validation studies planned for the components and the Breast Cancer Breath Test, as well as a large multi-center clinical study planned to evaluate the safety and efficacy of the Breast Cancer Breath Test, subject to discussions with regulatory authorities, and build our machine learning model for breast cancer. We are currently conducting a proof-of-concept study which is discussed in detail in the Business section, under the “Breast Cancer Breath Test” heading. Data collection will be completed in 3Q2024. Data analysis will follow. We anticipate the completion of the components, the Breast Cancer Breath Test, and the verification and validation studies in 2025 with a pivotal trial in 2026 to support a marketing authorization application in the U.S. in 2027, subject to discussion with the FDA. We expect this could lead to FDA approval for our Breast Cancer Breath Test by 2027. There is no guarantee that we will meet these development milestones or be granted marketing authorization by 2027, if at all.

There’s a reason why I’m putting this in the stonks thread. 😃

Guess people getting tired of IBRX... after yesterdays news... pretty uneventful it seemed... stock tanked 15% today... sitting at $3.76

I assume it's a mix of that and the company funding itself. Nothing has changed with it, so it could be a good buy

It was a combination of their FDA approval and anticipation of sales, with continued cash burn.  They really need to have a stellar third quarter in sales of Anktiva.

I am no @Harrison Stafford but I’m pretty balls deep in this one😂

IBRX only started receiving revenue from the sales of Anktiva during the last 30 days of Q2.  The next quarter should provide a better guide to revenue generation.  I’d add that Anktiva is the new standard of care for treating bladder cancer. This drug is doubling the survival rate of advanced lung and pancreatic cancer patients. They have a principal owner who is a billionaire and willing to spend his money to see them get to market. I think what they have is a moneymaker and they’re going to expand to the EU by the end of the year. I made a very large bet on the stock, but I like my chances.

Re:  IBRX, GERN, UUUU, AMYZF (which is finally starting to generate revenue), EOSE, & RVPH, I believe in their science until I see something to tell me otherwise.  All these companies have great promise, but it doesn’t happen overnight and the market will go through its ups and downs until it’s clear they’ve arrived.  I made large bets and am swinging for the fences.  The swings in value you have to withstand can be hard to take, but unless you don’t think they can get it done, you’re in i6 for the duration.

Who the hell has their “spaceport” in Midland?

This is one of those sell before the actual 1st launch coming up if you're up that much....

Sell some.  Buy some puts to protect the rest, and buy some calls to participate in any crazy upside if it is successful.

I think I’ll take today’s 25% run and do exactly that. I got in on Friday morning at 30 and it’s sitting at $38.82

Man, I took a couple hour short position in that last week and must have been sucking on a rabbit's foot to make a few bucks. Might do it again on a swing.

Speaking of $RVPH, what’s happening here? It was literally at the low of .60 a few days ago.

Took back some of the rise RVPH had yesterday…obviously,  somebody knew this was coming… and they needed to do it. Not the end of the world as there were 29.8 million shares issued and almost 5 million of that was closely held.  Stiflel resumed coverage on EOSE with a price target of $6.  EOSE +.31 to $2.20.

I bought some TEM, Tempus AI, medical AI LLM. I don’t know if it’s a stonk as it has actual revenue. It’s only been public a couple of months, and very volatile, so I consider stonk. Cathy woods also invested, so very speculative.

Microsoft AI Needs So Much Power It’s Restarting Site of US Nuclear Meltdown

Sep. 20, 2024 at 4:31 am
(Bloomberg) — The owner of the shuttered Three Mile Island nuclear plant in Pennsylvania will invest $1.6 billion to revive it, agreeing to sell all the output to Microsoft Corp. as the tech titan seeks carbon-free electricity for data centers to power the artificial intelligence boom.

Constellation Energy Corp., the biggest US operator of reactors, expects Three Mile Island to go back into service in 2028, according to a statement Friday. While one of the site’s two units permanently closed almost a half-century ago after the worst US nuclear accident, Constellation is planning to reopen the other reactor, which shut in 2019 because it couldn’t compete economically.

Microsoft has agreed to purchase the energy for two decades and declined to disclose financial terms. This is the first time Microsoft has secured a dedicated, 100% nuclear facility for its use.

The decision is the latest sign of surging interest in the nuclear industry as power demand for AI soars. More than a dozen reactors went dark over roughly the past decade in the face of increasing competition from cheaper natural gas and renewable energy. But growing demand for electricity — from factories, cars and especially from data centers — has spurred interest in nuclear plants that can provide carbon-free power around the clock.

“Policymakers and the market have received a huge wake-up call,” Constellation Chief Executive Officer Joe Dominguez said in an interview. “There’s no version of the future of this country that doesn’t rely on these nuclear assets.”

Why uranium stocks are up today.  UUUU +.28 to $5.23.

I bought a stonk and calls on a company called Poet Technologies months ago. Calls were expiring in Oct, so I had a set sell order when they doubled my price. It hit yesterday and sold in the morning. If I still held them, my 100% gain would be a 200% gain. Still no real revenue, but they are announcing a ton of "design wins" Just holding shares. Long term leaps are still fairly cheap, so I will wait for the recent surge to fall back down, and probably buy some Jan 27 calls. This one is as stonky as they get.
