You gotta respect that polka player who only stopped playing after the second shot fired.

1. honestly, there should be some requirement to be physically capable of performing the job before we arm people with guns

2. easy to see how an innocent bystander could have gotten hurt if you watch both clips. firing a bullet in a place built to ricochet...

Agree on the fatass cops that can't do their job, and that neither shot was safe for the public, especially the second one. Cops are just looking for an excuse to shoot these days.

Misleading thread title(shocking). The guy was obviously resisting/evading, so there WAS a reason. A good one? No

There are obviously requirements to make The Force.  It's maintained requirements that I'd like to see more of.  As well as requirements for subduing aggressive people - namely, BJJ.  Force this jell-bellies to hit the mats and prove they can restrain a physically more capable person.

More than anything, they need stress innoculation training.  Many don't have training on how to deal with stressful situations.  Uncooperative people, or people that are physcially aggressive, with the added dangers of losing one's personal sidearm in the process.

All of which come with a monetary cost - many precincts can absorb it.  Many other, smaller ones can not.  Possibly sudsidies for LEO at local gyms?  Facilitate private options?

he was standing still with his eyes closed from being pepper sprayed when he was shot. there was absolutely zero reason to shoot him.

I haven't read the OP, but I assume that the title "Chicago cops shoot a guy (twice) for no reason at all" is wrong. I can see the first time being for no reason, but the second time was probably for sport or because the guy moved.

Not that I particularly mind these situations being bright to light, but didn't the old place have a Bernard forum?
