CNN with the giant fuckup, graphic said Sanders won Mississippi, but it was Biden

We swear Biden won, we swear.

I have no idea why CNN even had a “Bernie wins MS” contingency slide created, much less loaded in the GRX. My jaw dropped when I saw it, wondering how in the fuck that could possibly happen. Even ol Wolfie got more tongue tied than usual. Biden will get 80% in Mississippi

IDK, it was fucking funny though.

Sanders is falling behind relative to 2016 everywhere in Michigan.

Becoming more and more clear the closeness of 2016 primary was more about Clinton weakness than Bernie strength.

This should terrify Republicans.

One thing that will be instructive is comparing the primary map of 2016 to tonight's results and then looking at which counties Clinton eventually lost to Trump in the general.

The primaries also provide a clean test of Bernie's general election argument that he would make up for losses among moderates by generating a surge in turnout by young voters and new voters. If he couldn't do it in a primary against Biden there is no way it was happening in the general.

Biden Job No. 1 - Tell Hillary to go away . . . go far away.

lol there's no chance in hell

I would like to thank Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, and Elizabeth Warren for allowing the ascendance of Bernie Sanders as the policy leader of the Democratic Party. Hillary for her profound shittiness and detestability and Joe/Liz for not running against her in 2016.

Exit polling showing 18-29 year old voting numbers are less than 2016. That youth vote never materialized

Which is horrible for November unless Trump being on the ballot matters.

How the fuck did we crown Hillary in 2016? Jesus

We didn’t do shit. She crowned herself and the Democrat machine made it so

Well, yeah.  But that's been apparent since roughly Nov 9, 2016, hasn't it?

Not if you can peel off some of the non-college educated voters who voted more against Hillary than for Trump.

She wheedled, intimidated, and paid off everyone to not run, except for the crazy old socialist that no one took seriously.

So messed up - she's the only one shitty enough to lose to Donnie

I am confident that 2016 Joe would've demolished Trump.

2020 Joe inspires significantly less confidence.

Remember - number of voters, not percentage between age groups.

Young vote has increases over 2016 numbers.

We need the young and Latino voters to remain engaged to win. They are the future of the Party (and vital to turning Texas blue in the future).

Please do not burn this bridge over intra-party conflict.

Officially called Michigan for Biden. This is over. Bernie doesn’t have a path to the nomination. The math won’t be there for him. The sooner he drops out, the better

he's going to get destroyed next week in Florida. Really awful timing.

Biden will win the Obama-Trump voters. Watch Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio and PA

We'll see and I'll continue to make emotional bets on Trump winning.

So it seems to me that in 2016 the Bernie primary vote was much more of an anti-Hillary vote than a pro-Bernie vote.  Then those people sat out in the general because they thought no way that Hillary (or anyone) loses to Donald FUCKING Trump.

Now in 2020 they aren't taking that chance.  Of course, we'll see in the general.

This is where Donald Trump's 43% constant approval rating is going to be a problem for him.

I'm not trying to run off young voters. I can understand why they wanted Bernie. When I was 18-25 there is no doubt that I would have been virulently afflicted with No Compromise. Yet, that's what it takes sometimes. I'm all for playing hardball with the Rs. Because I don't expect anything else from them. However, I can afford to be conciliatory with my own party. The question is whether or not the young voters will vote. If voting out the rat bastards that deny science, embrace hate, and do everything in their power to obstruct the basic functions of government isn't enough I don't know what else to offer. You want policy enacted? Get down there on the meat grinder. It's not pretty. It's dirty and distasteful. But, that's what it takes.

If you want to determine how much was pro-Bernie and how much was anti-Hillary, just compare the margins of the states 2016 vs 2020.

I know there is a desire to dismiss Sanders, but it's hard to do that in a mathematically or logically defensible way.
