what does it mean for the homeless?

Good question.  I guess you just have to hope you find a place under a bridge by midnight in case it rains.

thought I read somewhere that Gov Newsom was essentially commandeering hotels and motels as temp housing for the homeless (I doubt commandeering is the right word here, but you get what I'm putting down)

lady friend lives in the bay. asked her to come to LA as it is probably safer... she went grocery shopping tonight and said it was busy but still plenty of food available.

obviously, some items were out of stock but was expecting it to be worse.

streets are very quiet and no one taking the muni.

I just really wish people would stop buying toilet paper like they plan on shitting 18 times a day.

Acutely mentally ill and addicts kicking are going to be having a hell of a time with this.  Should be easier to spot though.

Maybe it will finally clean up the streets in SF....

Doubt it, Chesa’s policy is to ignore it in normal times, doubt anything happens now.

Strangely, the cable cars were still packed with tourists for most of the day. The order is a misdemeanor and won’t really be enforced so not a huge deal (the entire city has been WFH for a week and everyone got  on board social distancing quickly), but I do really worry about small businesses. No cash flow in the Bay is going to hurt quickly.
