Our grocery store has put a limit on all paper and sanitizer products.

So has HEB (so has everyone). What he's saying is that the same people are coming back every day to fill their limit.

How are you single homies doing? My frame of reference is all fucked up since all I can think be doing is a rapid cycle of drinking until to blackout, waking up in a cold sweat panic, and starting again. For all my bitching about being slammed last week I’m counting my blessings that I haven’t gotten remotely bored yet and I’m getting enough socialization with my wife to not be going a bit weird. Thinking about you guys.

I have never been more glad to be unmarried and childfree than I am right now.

I'm ready to embrace my new "Pat Riley" hairdo as it was long before this nonsense started.  Thank God for ball caps...slick it straight back and roll

I have worn a medium fade, short on top since 1995, before which I wore a high and tight flat-top.

Anyone got a comb or brush I can borrow?

I can have the same problem maybe once a year. It can be agonizing.

Lie on the floor on your back, grab your ankles and rock back and forth several times.

once in a while it might work to pop the lower back. Be very careful rolling over to get up.

there should be plenty of self help videos with similar suggestions.

Boredom and no sports the biggest thing.  But during the week I'm pretty slammed with Refinances and whatnot so not much different there.  So all in all not bad at all.

Seeing this coming....the boy and I went and got haircuts two Saturdays ago.  A haircut usually holds us for a month.  I'll be pretty shaggy in a coupla weeks, and I suspect we've got AT LEAST another two weeks after that.  We're gonna be some 1970s hairdo-lookin' motherfuckers when this is all said and done.

We aren't huge casserole people, but eggs seem the most hoarded thing at my local grocery store.

Why eggs?  You can't freeze the damn things.  They go bad.  Seems a weird thing to hoard.

Are they hoarding them or is everyone just cooking breakfast now?

Lots of kid time, dog walks and sitting around chatting. What's not improving though is "sexy time" with the wife... with her more stressed out than ever it normally ends with her going to sleep early and I'm just drinking a beer watching trash TV.

Personally, I could eat eggs for every damn meal of the day and not get sick of it.

Which maybe why I'm pissed about the hoarding.

One who's house is in town and said town has an anti chicken coop ordinance.

Plus, we never had a chicken coop growing up out in the country.  Just never kept them around.

I think that's it. I cooked breakfast every morning for the wife and kid and myself and always had eggs involved. Now we're getting most of our eggs from friends who have chickens rather than the store.

Hopefully these people will start getting lazy and the frozen waffles will start selling out instead.

Just found out my graduation (Med) got delayed 3 months. It’s all relative and compared to what others are going through this is nothing....but it still fucking sucks.

I have been getting into Spanish-Italian Spaghetti Sci-Fi. Mario Bava's world of Mediterranean Stylish Space Exploration with crews full of young Greeks, Portuguese, French, or whoever else the producers were dating that week.

Thanks to that feature where you can drop down and see every other movie every actor was in, I have enjoyed other masterpieces such as Caltiki, The Immortal Monster (the version I saw was in Italian without subtitles. I don't speak Italian. I think that made it even better.)

I also ended up in an Alan Ladd Spaghetti Roman epic. Before Rocky, this is the sort of movie that made Italians want to fight everybody.

Put on a suit for an important Zoom meeting today. First time to wear anything remotely semi-formal or formal, been in basketball shorts and concert tee's for a month now.

I dare youse guys to put on a suit and jump on a zoom meeting after a month of quarantine and not have a long and deep rethinking about how you've been snacking and eating during this time! I need to go for a run or something, but after my cold spaghetti and oreo lunch.

I've got a set of Wahls. Zero complaints. Just make sure you buy ones that have metal clips on the guards. Plastic ones break eventually.

We go through a lot of eggs. But you can freeze them. You can crack a couple open and mix the yellow with the whites. Put the mixed part into ziplock. Lay them in freezer flat. Haven't needed to do this but heard about this.

Yep.  Then you can thaw them out and put the bag in boiling water and you have scrambled eggs without getting anything messy

They keep a pretty decent length of time refrigerated, and like just about everything else, the use by date is nowhere near. When it starts getting to close for comfort, make a big breakfast casserole or two, and have breakfast for more than a few days.

I put my eggs in the refrigerator in a bowl and toss the store container.  They don't print a use by date on the egg, so I have no idea on what it is.  I have some that have been in the fridge for quite a while.  Am I going to die if I make some egg salad?

So long as they haven't been washed with water, they keep a damned long time not refrigerated, either. Most of the world doesn't refrigerate them, but in the U.S., it's pretty much a requirement once they go through the industrial washers most packing facilities use. Has to do with the membrane just inside the egg -- it's water soluble, and water seeps through the shell and breaks down the protective membrane. No water? No breakdown. Egg won't rot for a very, very long time.

Yep.  First time we were in the UK, I went around the corner to Sainsbury's to pick up some stuff to make breakfast in our flat.  I looked ALL OVER for eggs.  I was confused as hell -- it was a small store, a small refrigerated section, how was I missing them?

I finally ask a clerk....who points to my right....they're right over my shoulder on an end-cap, not refrigerated (I think the top of the display was dry pasta, eggs in the middle, then I don't know, canned beans or some shit underneath).  As long as they don't get wet, the shell keeps them safe.

My pinched nerve has subsided. Did my first full lifting session in a week. Lifting light so I don't reaggravate the nerve.

I have to say, weightlifting is an awesome stress relief. Sheds the anxiety and stress. Another thing I tend to do is obsess over macro and micro nutrition, helps me feel in control when life is out of control.

Well, nothing messy besides the obesity and infertility from the plastic leaching into your food.

Wouldn’t say anyone is enjoying things around here, but we did figure we’d have some solid free time to be hands-on with this little fella during his formative weeks:

What does.... this do for you? I’m trying to imagine how a bowl full of eggs improves on the carton

Submitted two proposals for international medical support. Had lunch with my daughter. Busted out the new drone went through all the batteries. Now about to have a Titos. Cheers to those on the front lines.

Enanitos Verdes do a great version. A bit more upbeat.

Yeah, that's the one I first heard, with the nice guitar lick. I gotta say this 1990s version is growing on me, makes me think of the first time I sat in a plastic Coca Cola chair inside a fluorescent stucco arcade eating ceviche.

Went by Rudy’s in Round Rock yesterday for curbside pickup. Got  1.5 lbs of brisket, half lb. of turkey breast. They included a bunch of containers of onions, pickles, & sauce. Also a whole loaf of Buttercrust white bread.

Popped the trunk lid so she could set the sack in there. Tried to tip her a $10 bill, but she said they were not allowed to accept tips. Understandable, as they probably don’t want the filthy currency germs coming into the building.
