Kansas losing to C. Carolina/ Kansas State lost to Arkansas State/ Iowa State lost to Louisiana...

I think I'm gonna blame coronavirus, lack of practice, on XII losing to 3 SunBelt teams, (at home)...

And 1/3 of those poor kids are going to end up with heart problems, right?

I don't know. And neither do you. Hence the concern.

This is an outrage.

Covid weakening or something? Why’s this here?

Take politics elsewhere. The purpose of the post was to point out that Alabama players are being pressured to boycott Saban. Every Texas fan should be excited about that and no politics need to be discussed.

What happens if they don’t heed the advice of the 11th man on the lakers?

This is 2020 so I’m sure the season will end up getting cancelled at some point since we have the best team we’ve had since Colt graduated.

The moon MIGHT be a gigantic egg that COULD hatch a space dragon that eats the Earth.

Will this happen?

Did Bama ever suffer an outbreak after all those pics showed up of college kids being college kids?

Or did Nick Saban just tell COVID to GTFO?

Will FSU and ou have to shut things down?

Seriously though, with all the back and forth every week/month, why anyone would take a definitive stance is absurd.

You hope for the best and plan for the worst.

So last time I checked with our COVID task force, we were looking at 24k plus positive tests on college campuses and no hospitalizations for students that are already on campus.

If the schools have done their due diligence  and strongly encouraged those that would be considered high risk (multiple underlying factors that lead to an enhanced likelihood of a severe complications) into a distant learning format and continue to enforce the socially distanced classrooms for everyone, the spike in campus positive cases with most likely not lead to a massive influx of hospitalizations  or death.

College kids will be stupid and make less than stellar decisions regarding their own and others personal well being, but those decisions will be made regardless if they are on a college campus or not. In many ways, it’s the best case scenario. Lock them on campus and let them slowly get everyone sick instead of letting them loose again after bringing them all together.

So what have the Big 10 players been doing all this time? Working out and going over playbooks, or sitting on their asses?

Probably"volunteer" workouts that look just like practice.

This..plus all the ADs, Administrations, stadium reps...they should have had a plan in place to play in Two weeks once the go ahead was given.

Seriously, fuck the B1G.   So what, they going to vote on playing a conference only schedule that runs mid October to Mid Jan?  So what about the playoffs, heres betting they push to have it moved to Feb.

anyone really think SEC is going to make 3 teams sit around for 2 months after their season before they crown a MNC?

Somehow the only thing Im sure of is there’s going to be multiple titles and aggy is going to claim another MNC on the tackle box for 2020.   It will probably take them a few years and they probably go 6-4, but when the stadium starts collapsing from playing fake crowd noise at 130dB, the rebuild will include another extra MNC on the wall.  It has to be in their 12th man foundation pitch, “Howdy, if y’all donate 500M collectively so we can add another tray in the box, we guarantee it will result in another MNC.”

What’s changed? They thought everybody would jump off the ship with them. Now that it appears that a season of some sort will go on, the spring doesn’t look so good.

How can you do that if all 14 teams don't wanna play..?

I don't see how Wisconsin can play.  They just shutdown their campus and suspended all football practices last week until Sept 25th.

Why does it have to be all or nothing?  Can't the B1G teams that want to play just play each other home and home?  Maybe pay to bring in a couple of sunbelt/conf usa teams?  BYU probably still has a couple of slots open too.

Because we’re already in the middle of a season. This shit should have been in planning since March until now but college football and specifically the BIG did a horrible job of planning.

If this was done prior to season start, yes.

Or they could just save everyone some time and declare tOSU the conference champion before the season even starts.

They'll do whatever it takes to hit the min # of games to get the TV revenue.   Personally would love to see home/home if needed vs scrub ooc opponents.

Hell no, don't rob us of the opportunity to see tOSU "klatt" Nebraska 70-3 in the CC.
