Alvarez already said the Big 10 will adjust policies to get them in the CCG of it is canceled.

It's all about catering to tOSU, tOSU saw the other conferences playing and couldn't bear the thought of being left out of the playoff picture so the conference put their season back on so tOSU could get in the playoffs.  If they change their rules to pander to suit tOSU they lose all credibility.

Other conferences have changed their rules. People see it for what it is and nobody cares. OSU will get into the playoff if they don’t play another game anyway.

The Pac won’t change the rules to match up CU and USC in the title game. Gonna have 2 undefeated South teams but USC wins the tie breaker even though that game was cancelled bc of them

I've heard speculation that tOSU could keep the 4th seed in the playoff even if they don't play in the CCG. There isn't a precedent for this season and everyone is sort of making things up as they go. So I don't know. But I would think that would piss off other fans more than the B1G putting the 4th ranked and undefeated Buckeyes in the CCG over an IU team they beat heads up and whose starting QB is out for the season.

Michigan was practicing in helmets today. Nothing is guaranteed in the Covid era but if Michigan can play then they'll play. An upset of OSU would save their season. Former Buckeye OL and All American Jim Lachey had a good comment on the "Buckeye Roundtable" radio show tonight. He said you can make some negative comments about Jim Harbaugh but being a coward isn't one of them.

In continuing the theme of 2020 being dog shit, we're forced to root for an Ohio State team that has played four games to get in the playoff to keep aggy out.

1. OSU has played 5 games (but your point is spot on) - however the results are closer than it looks
 - OhioSt has beat 1 ranked team (I don't count PSU who was ranked but is now 2-5, and was only ranked because "blue blood")
-  Aggy has beat 1 ranked team - a very unipressive 7-1 (beating Vandy, MSU (the other MSU), Arky, SC and a mediocre LSU) and a decent AU (how is a 5-4 SEC Auburn not rated?)

2. They would play Bama or Clemson in the 1st round and lose by 30+ (because there is no way they make Bama and Clemson play in the first round)

SEC taking steps to protect a 1-loss team near the top of the CFP rankings, as expected.

Oh but I'm sure there's lots and lots of COVID, all over the place.  COVID city, baby.

If you were expecting an upset by ole miss, you'd probably be disappointed.  Aggy is mediocre, but seems like everyone else in sec outside of bama is dogshit.  Although it is only a matter of time before Aggy does Aggy things.

I wasn't expecting that at all.   The ags are actually pretty good this year,  and as you mention the rest of the SEC is pretty crappy.

But the SEC knows they don't even have to risk it.  With the ACC engaging in shenanigans, and the B1G considering some shenanigans, the SEC would be crazy to even bother with the game.  And unlike a Texas game even against lowly Kansas, a Texas A&M game isn't going to bring in any television revenue of any note.  There's zero reason to hold this contest.
