I too would like to know the answer to this question....
They should be starting soon if they haven't already. They have until August 1st to finish.73d03c66305a66c5d42644fecc92315e.jpg

Whoever photoshopped Prince William and Catherine into this rendering deserves a raise.

All About Kate: Royal Tour of North America: Day 8 - William and Kate in Cowboy Gear

I saw that, too. I’m glad I went to the next page and saw your post before I started bragging about my great discovery. Good work. (And I didn’t remember her name, and still think you could be pulling a fast one... I only know her as “the one whose sister has a great ass.”)

I think Dustin is asking, are we putting in turf or grass? And I'm translating CDC's reply as "what you see currently is neither; we're getting set up for a graduation".

I think.

So, they haven't removed the field turf. They just covered it up with those white tiles.  Who knows why they did that and seems like a waste.

I was at the stadium today and walked around on the surface while they prepped everything for graduation. I was there to look at the new suites because we have to choose ours in late June.

I don’t give a shit about grass or turf, but I know Surly does, so I asked the AD person about it. New turf is going in. If Sark is performing and decides he wants grass down the road, then there will be grass.

I didn’t see any work on a NEZ scoreboard.

I got to go up in the new SEZ seating and look around. It’s going to be first class for sure. I want our “suite” to be one just above the goal posts on camera. @SydneyCarton wants to go to the far west side of the SEZ because he apparently wishes he could be sitting on the 5 yard line. Fucking guy. We have a chance to troll the tv audience multiple times a game, 6 times a year and he wants to sit near the worst vantage point in the building.

Moody Center also is coming along. It’s crazy how far it has come so quickly.

Bubble is going to be $50+ once the two big projects are done.

I hate sitting straight on. You can’t tell if a run was 2 yards or 6 and proximity to the first down marker. It’s irritating AF. I don’t care how many “Randolph Duke Touches Boys” banners you want to hang from the front of our suite.

Does that last sentence mean 50million cap project to upgrade the practice facility after the arena is completed?

Yes.

Yes.

Only one way for this to be resolved in a civil manner.

One of my first banners that I’ll be flashing behind a Texas field goal this fall will say “I’m not gay, but my suitemate and Poolflood are. “

True.  But you get a great view if the O line performance or lack thereof, receivers coming open, and FGs.  So there's that.

Someone on IT said that CDC has promised actual burnt orange on this turf.
End zones and logo only I hope..

And actual burnt orange will look like shit if the rest of the stadium isnt painted to match. /ocd

Renovations to the Moncrief-Neuhaus Athletic Center (MNAC) will completely revamp the look and feel of the facility that houses our Longhorn football team. One of the most prominent spaces within the facility is the main lobby and multipurpose area. Upon entry into MNAC, visitors will immediately walk through the incredible story of Texas Football in the main lobby filled with homage to our history, dominance and tradition of success.

Without giving too much away (because being within and experiencing this space is truly a spectacle), there are some key points of interest in the new MNAC you should be sure to check out when the facility opens this fall. A jersey exhibit highlights the evolution of our team's uniform since the program’s inaugural season in 1893 (fun fact: the University football team of 1893 played four games, but they didn't wear orange—their striped uniforms were gold and white!). Video spans a full wall of the main lobby and captures key moments and signature plays, environmental graphics call attention to some of the most exciting seasons and games in our history, and national award winners are featured along the perimeter of the space. In the center of it all is a display case for the College Football Playoff National Championship trophy. The main lobby of MNAC is, overall, a functional area, but one that creates an experiential environment to leave a lasting impression on student-athletes, recruits, families and guests.

Donor recognition opportunities, including in the main lobby, still exist in the Moncrief-Neuhaus Athletics Center and South End Zone.

Just got a preview of what they may do with night game entrances! Stadium completely dark at the end of graduation with the Horn the only thing lit.

Pretty nice except it needs to be orange LED instead of just normal white light.

Yup came here to post this.

Maybe they can adjust the lights, but it's probably white lighting up a burnt orange, may look different in person then a screen too.

I'm sure there's lighting specialists on it

For those that went to the spring game, have they started on the new video board in the NEZ upper deck?

The video board in this picture looks off center
