The whole board, or only 50%?

It looks like the main board is going to be installed now but not the two small side boards as the supports are still not in place there.

They should close the bottom of Bevo's nose. Wouldn't have to have seats or anything, just a floating U attached to the rest of the silhouette. Put some smoke nozzles on it.

Taco Bell gong is so massive they haven’t completed the structural framing behind the scoreboard yet.

That’s being readied for shipment as we type...

Maybe we should look into temporary speakers between each patron. That way social distancing becomes less of an issue, and everyone can go deaf while the new Adzillatron overruns the band and game enroute to achieving awareness.

Nah.  Just go ahead and put some meaty flaps instead.  Go ahead and own it.  We like pussy.

This guy obviously did not see the article written by aggy assuring us that DKR is only the 3rd best stadium in the state

Behind the big Toilet Seat on the Brazos and, of course, Kroger Field.

As someone who was there in 1954 I would have never imagined.  I thought when they installed the upper West we were complete.  When the final touches are complete I can only imagine the cost of electricity on game day :)

I still think the terracing looks like ass, but the rest is growing on me.

Hopefully when full of fans the terraces will look better.  Still waiting on an overhead shot of what it will look like.  Hope they reconsider putting the block of orange seats around the longhorn logo.  Makes it hard to see.

The terracing idea is sound. I suggested something similar be located in the SEZ instead of extra seating. But the location as designed is going to create some terrible sight lines for folks in the last 10-20 yards of seating on the South end of each grandstand.

Is that really the mock up?

Came from the video that I believe the Athletic Department put out.  It flashes on for just a second. Here is another.

Far cry from the “t’ shaped Freddie Steinmark scoreboard from 70s.

Tangential (?) related, and of course, pics don't capture the scale, but the excavation taking place for the Moody Center is pretty impressive. There's a good drop from street level on the Dedman side, but the amount of earth moved shearing off a hillside towards Red River is a damn cliff.

Agre.ed on the orange seats. The orange seats make it hard to see the logo, which is supposed to be one of the design focal points.

They might have changed that after all the dumb criticism about the logo in the stadium looking like a uterus. Newsflash: The logo has always looked like a uterus.

Yea, the thing to remember about the arena is it has a capital view corridor so they had to bury a good portion of it so it barely fits.
