Perrin was pulled into a situation where he did his best for the university he loves.  The other two were cancers.

He also hired Tom Herman while doing absolutely no coaching search because he was bullied by his fellow Houston donors.

We've come a long way from "Give Me a Phat Beat!" and Ricky and Earl shooting lazers at Longhorn minotaurs.

That east mall fountain hasn't been in working order for a long time now.

The fans on the far left of section 32 won’t be able to see the new Godzillatron, but the fans on the far right of section 1 may be able to see it. Did we hire aggy to build this?

Turn the TG around so that we are hitting into the net but looks like we hit into the field of play.  And it will need to double the booze storage space from a normal one. Or triple.

Players Lounge

Quote

Most recently, the Moncrief-Neuhaus Athletic Center (MNAC) has served as the exclusive facility and support center for our Texas Football student-athletes. We're excited that the completed renovation of MNAC will mark its operation as a primary facility for many student-athletes who compete across our 18 sport teams, offering the resources and space necessary to meet the requirements of a student-athlete’s daily experience.

Though MNAC will house services to support all Texas student-athletes, we've ensured that it still functions as a home away from home for our Texas Football student-athletes. In just a few months, the football team (which has been displaced into the North End Zone since last year) will head back home to MNAC. An integral part of the renovations at MNAC has been building out one of finest players lounges in the country, a place for our players to retreat to, decompress and relax in between classes, practice, training, rehab, and game preparation.

We've ensured that the spirit of competition and reinforcement of being a team is extended in this area with a variety of game and entertainment features that are both practical and functional. The upgraded players lounge combines the aesthetic “wow factor” of the South End Zone with the most modern gaming technology, banks of HD television screens, innovative resources for resting, and traditional game room activities. These resources will dually help players to unwind from the daily grind of being premier student-athletes while providing a space our players want to hang out in together, ultimately functioning to strengthen the bond between teammates and promote team chemistry.

Wonder what the presentation to recruits is for the SEZ while it's still under construction.

These athlete facilities and offices have to be getting close to finished if CDC is saying August is still the target completion date. Can't wait to see the finished product and hear the reaction from recruits/players.

Maybe it's the lack of sun, but bye ghawd that looks BURNT orange.
Looks Nike U green to me, and the field banner wrap and Longhorn logo definitely look different shades to my eyes.
But if you're talking about the endzone peeking out, yes it does...and it's miraculous. Just wish they could get more consistency throughout the stadium.

Just a thought.

You're right, but 2020 was such a fucked up year I still have ptsd.

Yeah, lot of that going around.

The field tilts from East to West, I never realized that.

For drainage. That's why they couldn't properly connect the east and west sides with a fully enclosed SEZ.

Fields should always drain to the visitors side! Maybe that’s the reason for our last decade of mediocre football?

It could be I-35 construction that’s caused the East side to rise?
