You know, we’ve covered the lost opportunity for the wrestling promotion to capitalize on the guy.   But, especially given that she has no other career prospects now, the girl really needs to strike while the iron is hot and make an interracial gang bang porn before everyone forgets about this.

Blacks on blondes?

lulz. it's the boyfriend's fault.

she just learned an extremely painful life lesson. the spotlight will go away but the search results won't. i wonder if any school or employer will touch her with a ten foot pole?

i did laugh at the she "believes that blacks are human too." i know she meant well but that's some funny shit.

I get she’s going through all of these feelings, which is natural. Ironic, given her commentary toward a group that likely largely feel the same way. But her parents need to yank her phone from her and require she delete all social media accounts. She’s making it worse. If I were her Dad, I’d have put an end to that shit the minute the original video came out.

Like her dad believes blacks are humans, too.

no one decides how long the punishment should last. i suspect it'll last as long as google brings up these search results.

i know i'm not hiring either one of these asshats. all my employees have to do is google either one's name and then my good will and trust that i have as a business owner or supervisor is shot. my employees will think that i'm a fucking idiot.

no one is making shitheads post shit on social media. they have to know that what you put online can last for years if not decades.

if you're going to post egregious shit, don't be surprised when people dox your ass. i have no problem with shitheads getting doxxed. the idea of anonymity emboldens people to do and say some really stupid shit. if these people get called out, maybe it will deter others from doing the same.

i liked it better when racists hid in the shadows. now nazi flags at gatherings and these types of vides are common.

I totally get what you are saying. I really do, and one of the worst things (not political) about the last 3 years to me is the rise of the racist/sexist/bigots (I say this as a republican/libertarianish voter) in this country that fee empowered to spread their filth.

Mall that said, I believe growth and maturity are possible with more life experiences. That’s why I posted what I did when Lobo said that he was going to make it his life’s mission that they could never go to college in the state of Texas.

I’m 41 and I’m an entirely different person than I was at 17, or even 31. I’d hate for a mistake I made then to still affect my life and who I am now. That’s all I’m talking about here.

Everyone knows kids are stupid but why do this in front of the entire world while showing your face and name? At least the dumbass in the Dairy Queen bathroom is carving swastikas while taking a shit so you can't see him do it. Reminds me of those kids in California who were doing a racist "prom-posal".

Look at how happy they are right now! How the fuck do you not hold your head in shame over something like that?

Some people are too stupid to realize that their hatred combined with the unbelievable stupidity of filming that for show (while else publish it) just ruined their lives. They literally will never overcome it. At 17-18, that’s a shame but it’s way, way too old to know better.

There are literally millions of such stupid people in this country.

They'll slink for a year and then legally change their name. Or use their middle.name going forward.

If nobody puts it on blast for the internet, they'll get away with the transaction

Relax Barbara, I didn't do shit but help my 4-year old ride a bike today and get half-day drunk.  How the fuck do you not understand hyperbole on this website?

yeah, i got overly defensive about small children.  These are 17 years olds that need a wake-up call.  Totally the same thing.

and me being dramatic about my kids is completely the same thing as young adults being insanely racist.  Completely equal.

You are wise beyond your years.

How about this, how about it's ensured these young KKK members don't get to go to college and I go back to being a crazy parent?  Would that sit well with you?

I guess I used to wonder about nuance in this political age but you went and solidified my theory about it.  I got weird about my kids and these folks think all black people have jailtime and no fathers.  Totally the same thing.

It is literally impossible you are this ignorant and stupid.  What joyous tales you must tell your children at night.

To answer your question about how long on doxxing?  These young adults were raised racist, they are racist, and they will always be racist.  As such, they can never be allowed into polite business society.  You have an issue with that, my Mexican ass is more than happy to discuss the ramifications with them.  They fucked up and now it's time to pay.  And pay dearly.  For decades.  For the very simple reason...our country is at a place where a whole helluva lotta people need to take a timeout for decades.   And no you dumbfucks, that's not CR...we are discussing racism.  The original post was about Racism.  If you can't see that, then go fuck yourselves. Goddamn, this is exhausting.  There is a difference between politics and racism and this is a site based on a university that used to educated people on the difference.  This is a fucking beating.

You are literally unhinged. That has nothing to do with this video.

First, Lobo (crazy as he is, and bless him for it, for it makes Surly more interesting) certainly never said he was making it his life's mission to make sure these people never got into college in state of TX. Not sure why you like to attribute extreme statements to people.I guess it makes it easier to respond to but it doesn't make it true or accurate.

Second, agree that it is possible to grow / mature. That being said, people suffer consequences all the time for decisions made when they were young. Should someone in jail for theft / selling drugs / even aggravated assault have the scarlet letter of jail follow around them for the rest of their lives? This isn't a case of a minor boo-boo, and I suspect that there is a higher likelihood of a random 19-year old in jail making a better place in the world than either of these buffoons.

The bad news is the online is forever, but the good news (I guess) is that this misbehavior will be forgotten quickly in terms of coverage. They will likely change their names and probably achieve the same outcome in life as if they had not made the video. And if this does cost one of them Senior Partner at Bain or major law firm, oh well, not going to shed much of a tear.

Ah, I will say I missed Lobo's response of "They fucked up and now it's time to pay.  And pay dearly.  For decades." when I posted previous reply. Still not sure I would call this his life's mission, but less of an exaggeration that I initially thought.

He literally said “they won’t be attending higher education in the state of Texas for their entire life”. I’m not putting words in his mouth. That’s what he said he was responsible for bringing about.

You brought up people in jail. That was exactly where I went with my philosophical question- as to when and how we deal with rehabilitation in this world

I absolutely think we need to leave the door open to that possibility. People change sometimes.

Hmm, maybe I have a poorer view of Lobo's power than he does (or than you do), but I read that as saying any school in Texas will look these people up (by themselves) and deny admission, not that Lobo has power over all of Texas education system.

What's the easiest way to search posts from a poster that has several thousand posts?  There is some awful high and mighty in this thread that needs to be reminded of the time they posted a bunch of racist shit, then blamed it on being "drunk" the next day.  Off the meds diatribe bullshit.

Sorry to quote you twice, hit post on auto-pilot, but 100% agree that you that we (as society) should discuss rehabilitation. I am sure that @TwiceHorn would agree given other posts he has made, that we as a sociry view punishment as be-all and end-all of justice.

That being said, I do find it noticeable that conversation on rehabilitation seems to arise more regarding white youth than non-white youth. Maybe it's just my perception, I don't have any data on that.

Shit, my bad.  I thought it was Carollton, Texas.

Carrollton/Farmers Branch ISD names most of their schools after obscure former administrators so that when you tell people what high school you went to, no one has ever heard of your school.  Almost everyone I know who stayed around Carrollton moved to Frisco, home of about forty 5A schools.

My response would be most on this website (and me amongst them) are white, and there is a definite aspect where it’s easier to argue for rehab for a person that looks like yourself. There but for the grace of god, etc etc.

Daniel Figurelli disagrees.

For those boohooing there future I'll make two points. One has already made but I'll reinforce it. If you feel so bad for these "children" and their actions hanging on them for life take some time and roll down to South Dallas, Oak Cliff or Da Grove. Hell, any hood in any city. Talk to the high school kids and learn about how their life is challenging, from the word go. They are influenced by very bad things, not just racist dumb fuck boy friends. Even if they make great choices on of their friends doesn't, they get in a car with them, a friend is carrying drugs and a gun. That good choice person might have unknowingly chose poor friends. But it's not uncommon that hey weren't even aware the person had both. They get pulled over, and are lucky to get out alive.

Hell, maybe the car is full of good choice kids. They might still be hit with a bogus drugs charge. Or killed.

They get tried as an adult, and get hammered with a felony, some social media pressure would seem like a cake walk.

Those are the exact people these fucking pieces of shit were making fun of in their video.

To have any sympathy for them, at all, is beyond my comprehension.

In short, they made their bed. Let them cry in it.

Nothing you said here is wrong. I don’t disagree with any of it. I’m not super pumped about the idea of turning one shitty situation into another (I’d rather try to get both of them right) but you aren’t wrong.

Yes, it seems to me that very few mistakes or wrongdoings should follow one around for life.  Perhaps, maybe, reputationally, but not with material consequences.

Newman....

Smith. I think that's how it's spelled.

Was someone actually named Newman. That's fucked up if so.

Newman Smith and R L Turner are the OG Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD high schools.  There are a bunch now, no longer named after administrators.

And yeah, C-FB has become a kind of disposable neighborhood like many of those that characterize Houston.  Starts out decent middle class, ages a little and everyone moves north.

You clearly have a much larger acceptance for stupid decisions having  reduced consequences than I. There are socio-ecomomic implications that leave some with much more limited choices in the decision making. I tend to provide far more leeway when those come into play for good reason. Yeah, it is going to be easier to forgive/try to rehabilitate/accept rehabilitation for those more like you than not, from a pure psychological standpoint.

It's also going to be easier to rehabilitate those who don't come from and return to bad socioeconomic backgrounds, from a practical and psychological standpoint.

I think we should "indulge" the opportunity whenever we can.

Sorry, but this has been going on longer than the last 3 years.

It's just legacy of the republican Southern Strategy.  Republican Strategist Lee Atwater laid it out:

"Atwater: Y'all don't quote me on this. You start out in 1954 by saying, "Nigger, nigger, nigger". By 1968 you can't say "nigger"—that hurts you. Backfires. So you say stuff like forced busing, states' rights and all that stuff. You're getting so abstract now [that] you're talking about cutting taxes, and all these things you're talking about are totally economic things and a byproduct of them is [that] blacks get hurt worse than whites. And subconsciously maybe that is part of it. I'm not saying that. But I'm saying that if it is getting that abstract, and that coded, that we are doing away with the racial problem one way or the other. You follow me—because obviously sitting around saying, "We want to cut this", is much more abstract than even the busing thing, and a hell of a lot more abstract than "Nigger, nigger". So, any way you look at it, race is coming on the backbone."

Invoking God is right out of the playbook as well.  This is all learned behavior that many vote for and support.

Just seeing the video/thread. High probability that these young adults have seen their parents make these same comments all their lives. The big difference between the parents and their children are that the parents are probably smart enough to know when not to make the comments. But are ignorant though.

videos like this are good because it helps us identify the racists and realize racism hasn’t disappeared.

All right with that in mind I'll attempt to shift this in both your directions. I'll start by admitting here I was a problem drinker or alcoholic, which ever you prefer. My choices led me to the ultimate worst possible consequences. It lead to my death. Literally.

Then I made choice to change. To quit drinking. To alter my life entirely which I did, twice.

However, here is the strange part, I wouldn't change anything. I'm not proud of things I did and said while drinking. I've worked very hard to make up for those things. On the same note, those things made me who I am. There are things that I did do that I might not have done. Many of them amazing things. Retroactively removing drinking from my life changes who I am as a person. I have come to a place where I'm very proud of who I am. I wouldn't be me without the mistakes and death. I likely would have lived a very different life.

So, how does that have anything to do with the folks in the OP?

I'm now going down hypothetical path that may just be silly, stupid or dreamy. But here goes anyway.

Let's just say the young woman, at some point a year or 5 from now reflects on these this thing and really, truly sees he error of her ways. (I am confident based on her other SM posts she doesn't yet) That very reflection leads her to a choice to decide to understand more about the folks she was mocking. She opens her mind and heart and starts to understand the realities that I posted above regarding life in the hood.

She starts not only studying it academically, but start volunteering in poor communities to really understand.

She begins helping young women in those circumstances with their hard choices that she understands more with her exposure and education.

She parlays that to also engage with young females of her own socio-economic upbringing. Warning them of the dangers of shitty boy friends and misuse of social media.

She becomes a leader, and helps young women overcome their own issues before going down the same path she is on.

Had she not faced the things she is today, she may well have married some racist dick who seems likely to be an abusive asshole. So, it's the pain she faced that actually helped her grow into the person she becomes.

Without the consequences, she never would have changed. The consequences are, in fact, the solution.

Thanks for sharing that. And sure, I agree that the consequences are the solution and that she hasn’t lived in the consequences long enough to learn a damn thing, and she should.

My only point is forever is a long time and I don’t see any consequences for something like this need to be permanent if genuine rehabilitation happens. What good does that do us as a society- to stop the person you described her turning into (in a theoretical sense), from “ever going to school on the state as long as she draws breath”. It’s silly. As silly as zero tolerance bullshit.  And, that harms us as a society

I guess the reason I posted this is I think social media brings out the worst in us collectively, and I’m just trying to put a different spin on what could be.

One of the central tenants of my faith is that acceptance of Christ brings about a total and radical change from the inside out (you know- so long as you take up your cross every day which most people don’t). Or, look at the alcoholic thread.

What we aren’t released from, of course, is our sinful nature to lash out and hurt people, which is part of original sin, but when we do change and finish the work God has wrought in us we will find it detestable when we act under the power of the flesh.

I say this to you, I believe, as a fellow believer. If that’s not true and I made that up and you aren’t a believer my apologies- not intending to preach to someone outside the faith.

I believe people can change but other people’s opinions about that person can easily last much longer.

It’s also possible the girl is truthful that she doesn’t believe what she said on the video. I’ve known a few insecure “followers” in my life that allow others to tell them how to think and act. It doesn’t excuse the behavior but explains it. It’s also possible the girl is the actual racist between the 2. Who knows.

It's already been said, but, as always when I see things like this, I'm way more amazed by the stupidity required to rewatch the video they just made and come to the conclusion, "Yep, we should post that. People will get a kick out of it. We'll get some sweet Likes." than I am by the content itself.
