This narrative is horseshit.  Biden ran a campaign chasing Republicans that didn’t go for him anyway and if they did, they split the ticket, costing Dems down ballot. Biden did nothing for the base on policy but he did put a Black woman on the ticket, so great I guess. We have no idea what kind of general election campaign someone else might have run. Also, Trump is the worst president of all time and ran the worst campaign.

This is like the “Only Hillary Clinton could have lost to Donald Trump” but in reverse.

This is a really stupid take. It's like you haven't actually seen the results with all the split ticket votes. That's exactly what he needed to win. No one was crossing the line for Bernie or Warren etc. The results show a centrist to conservative electorate. Jesus fucking christ, they both got destroyed in the Dem primaries. Trump beats either of them with plenty of room to spare.

But yea, you keep fucking that Warren chicken.

lol Did you just say Biden gave ground to Trump with minorities?

Compared to Obama and Hillary, it appears so, particularly among black males. Trump appears to have increased his margins. The performance among hispanics has been widely discussed. In Texas particularly, the incremental gains in hispanic support have been a point of discussion.

https://www.nbcnews.com/news/nbcblk/black-men-drifted-democrats-toward-trump-record-numbers-polls-show-n1246447

Support for the Democratic presidential candidate reached a new low among Black men this year, according to the NBC News poll of early and Election Day voters.

Eighty percent of Black men supported Joe Biden, down slightly from Hilary Clinton’s 82 percent in 2016 but significantly down from Barack Obama’s level of support among Black men in 2012 and 2008.

In Obama’s first presidential campaign, 95 percent of Black male voters and 96 percent of Black women chose him. Four years later, support from Black women remained at 96 percent for Obama’s 2012 re-election, while the figure for Black men slid to 87 percent.

In 2016, when the nominee was Hillary Clinton, Black men dropped further to 82 percent while Black women’s support for Clinton remained high at 94 percent. Biden came close to matching that this year, garnering the support of 91 percent of Black women.

Support for the Democratic presidential candidate in general appears to be slipping among Black women as well, but to a much smaller degree. Biden still enjoyed the support of more than 9 out of every 10 Black female voters.

Biden basically ran on “Trump is awful but Republicans are still okay.”  Yeah, that was enough for Biden to win which he needed to do because he’s Joe Biden.

It’s just silly to think someone else couldn’t have beaten Trump.  I don’t know if Bernie would have won either but it’s certainly possible.

In that regards, yes, but did you really expect to beat Obama numbers, or the wife og Clinton? Black people loved Clinton. At the end of the day, Black voters are turning this election for Biden. Detroit, Mil, Kenosha, and ATL are all churning big numbers because of the Black vote. In large part the combination of Educated Whites and Black People in Philly is doing it too.

So which of the candidates that were running were that candidate.  Not just some mythical someone else.

I have a question about the weed thing.

south Dakota and Montana just legalized recreational. Mississippi just legalized medical. Texas still has some piece of crap CBD oil bill that doesn’t help anyone. Is that ever going to change?

does Biden or his administration have the power to deschedule or at least take marijuana off schedule one without congress?  I was hoping we would take the damn senate and get it done, but if we need the congress to do it, it’s fucked because McConnell is still majority leader.

I wouldn't argue against any of that.  But when are talking about margins trending to 5 digits in some states, incremental losses election over election are substantive. I have no fucking idea why Trump gains ground with black males or hispanics over 2016, but it seems like a noteworthy trend to point out when we are talking about why Texas turned out like it did or why GA is razor thin.

I have no idea.  I’m just pushing back on this idea that only Biden could have beaten Donald Trump, a mass murdering criminal moron.

And I’m just asking from the primaries, despite how much trump sucks, who wins?  All they had on Joe was Hunter and trying to make him out to be a socialist.  And the socialist shit worked.

People remember the crime bill, and there is video of Biden saying that he didn't want Blacks in his neighborhood or something like that. Some people aren't going to forgive the geezer over those. Family members were lost. I have a couple from then too. But the difference is most people see the evil that is in the office, and didn't forget which party has helped the Black Community most.

Bernie would have got shit on vs Trump. He’s far to left and socialistic for the average American.

Insanity considering the average American sorely needs social programs and better healthcare that every other developed western democracy has to live a better life. The average American republican supporter is the cuck of the political world.

So maybe not so crazy to point out that Biden gave ground to Trump with minorities?

That’s your opinion of what you think they want but in reality the average American doesn’t give two shits about that.

You said they still love Clinton. Why do they not hold him accountable for the mid 90s crime bill and whole "3 strikes" thing that he signed into law? Maybe because he later apologized for it?

People are what they eat.

The cold war battle of ideologies is over. Even the Chinese are capitalists now. Doesn't mean Americans don't deserve the same amenities offered to Advanced Western Cultures.

We socialize the cost of everything. Commerce Clause is your clue.

Not want. Need. How many trump supporters are on medicaid/medicare/ACA subsidies? They don't want to give that up they're just too brainwashed and stupid to realize who they support wants to take it from them.

I have no idea. Bernie’s appeal was that he was anti-establishment and that counts for a lot since most folks don’t like Dems.  I think any of the top five Dems from the primary could have been competitive against Trump, enough to win.  Most of Biden’s votes were anti-Trump votes. Not hard to extrapolate other candidates would have got all of that and maybe more. Pete, Bernie, Liz, Kamala, or even Bloomberg could have probably beat Trump if they ran an effective campaign.

Not sure they knew he was responsible at the time, as it wasn't the ammo being tossed at Hillary in 16. People generally are clueless as to who signed what when, until some politician uses it in a mudslinging competition. Most people have no clue that Clinton Signed Glass Steagall, the WTO, or pushed the Fannie Freddie initiative either, since that house of cards came tumbling down under W. All they know is the 90's were really lucrative, and some suave dude was getting pussy in the WH.

If my aunt had balls, she'd be my uncle. Everyone you just named wouldn't have beaten Trump, they couldn't even beat Biden in their own party. Holy batman this is a dumb game.

I know that I cannot ever overcome the strawmen people build up around what I actually post.

That's not a strawman. If you are truly trying to get your point across you would say he lost ground to Hillary's numbers in 16. The way you worded it was murky, and I am starting to think you intentionally did it to slorch things up. You got me once. Tip o the cap.
