How influential is Bill Buckley's National Review in Republican circles these days? I'm asking because this OpEd is rather scathing.

National Review's shit's all retarded and they talk like fags.

Barr should already be packing his bags based on Trump's assertion that the DOJ/FBI committed election fraud.  This might just ice it.  Deep state, motherfuckers.

I can't think of a better career move for a trump appointee than to be fired for not doing his bidding. Of course Barr has done plenty of his bidding and should be blackballed for life, but this is a last ditch effort to save face as something other than part of the treasonous regime. I hope it doesn't work. He needs to carry this stain for eternity.

I'm watching this cornucopia of snowflake testimony at the Michigan Senate "hearing".

- This one bearded pussy read a statement saying he saw a van of ballots be delivered that he estimated to be 50K ballots. There was no chain of custody seen by him. They were brought in at 3:00am when no ballots should have been received after 8pm, so where have these ballots been between 8pm and 3am? No explanation has been given to him. He accused Attorney General Nessel of whisteblower intimidation. He further said they were not allowed to videotape in the TCF building, saying they were told it was potentially criminal. He wants a full independent investigation and for them to stop this fraud.

- I experienced the chain of custody being broken. She explained that they were asked how many republicans poll watchers were there, and it was announced two, but she didn't see anyone raise their hands. I was threatened and intimidated by Democrat poll watchers.

Witness after Witness are republican poll observer/challengers "just asking questions". As in things don't make sense to them and it's not fair they lost so it must be fraud.

It would be fun to see where this guys cell phone was pinging when he saw this going on at 3:00 AM.

Some big law firm will hire him as partner, and bill out his time as $1500 per hour

He was obviously standing near the building doing his duty as a citizen. But didn’t take his phone out to video this fraud happening right in front of him because he was told it might be wrong to do so. Can’t be risking a small fine just to record evidence of a presidential election being stolen.

William F. Buckley famously stated late in his life that had he been born 20 years earlier or 20 years later, he would have been a socialist. Say what you will about him, his whole schtick was the need for an intellectual contrarian in political commentary, and that's exactly what he was.

All those affidavits Rudy keeps waving around.  Aren't affidavits supposed to be sworn under oath?

he also said he'd rather be governed by the first 300 names in the phone book.  boy, did the last few years point out how wrong he was on that one.

Well Lou is right, Barr is compromised. Just not in the insane Q way that Lou is intending there.

in just over 2 minutes of nonstop talking, i'm not sure lou dobbs hit on one fact other than the notion that the fbi is an actual organization that does exist.

his entire monologue would be tagged on twitter as "outright lies" or whatever 180 degrees is from the truth.  at what point does fox actually, you know, do something about this?

I will give him a 8.5 for effort. However he needs to dial it down about 2 octaves and then the trumpkins would have believed it completely.

God, I can hardly imagine.  He'd probably run up like Kanye and smack the bible away as the oath was being administered.

I think the Kanye quote was along the lines of "I'm really happy for you, Imma let you finish"

Happy for ya?  Let ya finish?  Bah... whatever, it all sucks.  Let's move on.

At what point during this hypothetical second term would we be dealing with outlandish lawsuits trying to maneuver around or declare unconstitutional the 22nd amendment?

I chuckled at declaring a constitutional amendment unconstitutional.  He would try though.  Fuck him.

Call Cornyn, Cruz and your GOP House rep daily telling them to speak up and tell Trump to cut this shit out.  I’ve gotten my dad calling Kevin Brady twice a week.

He announced for 2020 the day after the 2016 election.

It allows him to continue to fundraise and fleece the rubes. It's not like he has any other meaningful sources of income. All he has is his name... Shitty as that may be.

So even Barr has said he can’t find any evidence of wrongdoing

No, what he said was that they have not found fraud on a scale that would change the outcome of the election, and this is an important distinction.

Fraud, human error, logistical issues and both inadvertent and intentional procedural violations happen in every election. The Trump campaign is largely taking that fact and through the addition of fantasy trying to alchemically transform it into evidence of a massive, coordinated fraud conspiracy.

So that’s what Barr is saying- not that there is no evidence of at least some wrongdoing, because we can assume there is the usual amount or perhaps even much more because of the unique circumstances of massive turnout and a pandemic, but that they haven’t found either the scale or coordination required to turn the loser into the winner

I do like that his strategy of burying the other guy in litigation until they go away doesn't really work when the other guy is the United States Govt. I just wish he wasn't able to use other people's money to keep it going.

And I think Barr realizes that focusing on trying to manufacture widespread, intentional fraud in PA and GA are fool's errands.  If he'd put back his evil genius hat back on, Barr would pull a "Fail Safe" and go uncover a similar plot in some state that Trump won close, but not too close so as to actually jeopardize the EC votes from there (some place like Iowa or Ohio).  It would add some legitimacy to the rest of their Witch Hunt.  I know Trump couldn't withstand the ego blow though.

The real question looming over all this to me, is while this whole shitshow has obviously casted a lot of doubt onto our elections in the minds of a lot of Trump supporters.....isn't it at least a little tempting to let that skepticism linger in their minds for a long while so as to keep them away from the polls in 2022/2024?  Most Trump voters are going to remain loyal Republicans and turn out regardless of who runs and regardless of this "Stolen Election" charade.  But there's 20 million dipshits in that mix who will think everything will go back to being rigged against them and just sit out voting in 2022 and in 2024, if Trump is not on that ticket.  Isn't that a net good?  I won't lie, I will go back to voting mainly Libertarian and Republican after adamantly supporting a number of Democrats in 2020.  But keeping that psychotic fuckery-filled wing of Trumpdom from the polls in 2022/2024 is a real plus for America.  Sure a handful of them are gonna shoot up some polling places in the next few years out of frustration, but the constitution does say, "interesting trades considered."

An even dumber strategy: the other guy isn't just the US government.  It's multiple state governments as well.  He's foolishly fighting a multi-front war.  And losing badly on every front.

Shit, he's even more like Hitler than we thought.

Here’s the question for 2022: will Trumpy low propensity voters come out without Trump on the ticket? They stayed home in 2018.

Will core Democrats stay motivated for 2022? If not, they could very well lose 20-30 seats in the house.
