Interesting.  I just noticed that Fidelity has an election information "center" or page.

While Fidelity does cater to and rely on the "investor class," it's not the fat cat pigs that GS and the big banks rely on and cater to, merely the financially privileged.

There's no hysteria or attempt to catastrophize anything, or sway anyone's vote, just advice for regular investors to tailor their holdings to coming changes.

Their advice seems predicated on a Biden win, and increased taxes and closing of some loopholes related to investment.  You can't help but think they think Biden will win.

the market seemed to always have a biden victory baked in.  some trumper i know keeps explaining how the market will crash the day after biden wins.

lol at people that think the stock market likes trump.  the stock market hates chaos.

I hope this is good news?  But I don’t know Florida is such a weird state.  It’s odd to see so many other places voting right now. It sucks that the vast majority of people here live in a state who doesn’t like voting and the will of the people.

i know it shouldn't be like this, but 2020 in america:

votes = good for dems

no votes = good for gop

fucking sad.  at the dnc, on social media, all the liberals just say "vote".  michelle obama wears a necklace that says "vote".  not vote blue, not vote biden, just vote.  donald trump has made voting a partisan issue.

Nah it’s because turnout among demographic groups that vote Democratic is always an issue. Republican demographic groups don’t have to be reminded and are much more reliable.

Make no mistake - Michelle Obama would much rather Trump supporters stayed home.

No she fucking wouldn't, I'm not trying to white knight for MO, but absolutely fucking not would she rather anyone stay home as a black woman. If you have listened to her speak she hates politics but believes deeply in democracy and it's power for good as a representative government of the people.

What? He's the dude who was stealing from them in the first place and is a big reason they have money troubles! He's mad that he can't get his cut!

I know, but that cut he got before they discovered his "consulting" fees made him persona non grata and I'm certain there are more than enough folks (that aren't having a coughing fit) that would be happy to put him in the same room with the stable genius on his meds for a good long while.

if they're so unreliable, why is the gop trying so hard to keep them from voting?

the more people vote, the worse it is for republicans.  trump is on tape saying that from like a year ago.  it's not a secret.

Brisket. The good fairy grants your wish and your dreams will all come true.

Brisket, from now on, you are a real boy.

Oh and Biden will win the election in a rout. It will remind you of the heady days of Mackovick V. UCLA.

At least choose a good rout, you know like Colorado in '05...

GOP misses the days when voting was limited to land owning white males

GOP wishes so badly they could repeal the 19th amendment. I wouldn’t put it past trump to do it if he wins again. He’s going to be 10X worse than his first term knowing he won’t have to face the voters again. It’s going to be no holds barred. We gotta stop the mad man.

Because the increased turnout is usually due to demographic groups that traditionally support Democratic candidates showing up - like nonwhite and 18-29 voters. A big reason Hillary lost Michigan (for example) was due to low turnout among the AA vote in urban areas.

While there are nonpartisan GOTV organizations if it’s a message from a candidate or one of their surrogates then they are wanting their supporters to show up. And it’s always been a bigger problem for the Democrats than Republicans.

if he thinks he's done in 2020, and wants to get his grift on for another 4 years of fundraising, then it all kinda makes sense.

i've long since thought he would run in 2024 as well, if he's still breathing.

That would be good news for democrats. Literally no one outside of his 41% base will be yearning for the all the insanity and chaos again.

dems are trying to get their people to the polls.  gop is trying to keep the same people from the polls.  i'm not sure what you're arguing here.

i think it's fucking pathetic that voting has become partisan.  every politician or political person in the country should be encouraging voting, but that's not what's happening.

And a lot less undecideds right now.  No one is switching sides so the 1% or whatever undecideds are all that’s left to change those percentages.  Well them and voter fraud / suppression.

“To put [undecided voters] in perspective, I think of being on an airplane.

The flight attendant comes down the aisle with her food cart and, eventually, parks it beside my seat. ‘Can I interest you in the chicken?’ she asks. ‘Or would you prefer the platter of sh*t with bits of broken glass in it?’

To be undecided in this election is to pause for a moment and then ask how the chicken is cooked.”

— Humorist David Sedaris in a 2008 New Yorker column. The comparison has only gotten more relevant.

The sh*t platter has 100% more glass this election year.

I’m making my FIL watch The Social Dilemma right now. He’s probably a Biden voter, but very wishy washy. I hope this convinces him. He doesn’t pay attention to most of the world, but is easily swayed, exactly because of shit like social media.

If he doesn't listen...you know what to do.

Wtf is he doing now? He had a chance to fork over cash with another round of stimulus and he hangs up the phone?!

It's stunningly stupid.

It's perfectly on brand for him.

This man pissed away hundreds of millions... twice.

He lost his fortune in the casino business and manhattan real estate.

If he had a money tree he would cut it down.

I don’t understand the big deal Democrats make about that stock photo.  It’s just him embracing his wife on stage and checking her out.  It’s not weird, it’s his wife.  Biden is way more strange than this.

They made wearing masks and social distancing during a fucking once a century pandemic partisan. Voting being viewed as partisan pales in comparison.

He can get people killed, spew out classified information, and even worse. He’s in a bad place.

I think you overestimate what he knows how to do. You can't just proclaim things on twitter and have them done lol, you know better than that.

Can he say some really dangerous stuff? I'll give you that, he for sure can.

I mean he could give up classified info and/or a list of foreign assets to certain interested parties in order to settle some debts that are about to come due.

I understand that declassifying documents requires more than an official statement from the President, which is what this is. But what I want to know is how exactly does the declassification process work? Does it require a signed executive order or what?

there is an entire legal process to declassify shit with multiple levels of approval. https://open.defense.gov/Transparency/Declassification/

If he violates that you better fucking believe twitter would be asked to remove it and they would fucking scrub the net of screenshots and show up at peoples houses that saw the tweet. You think the US Gov is a bunch of fucking retards? Only the IMPOTUS is. Twitter tracks every tweet and every eyeball that has ever seen that tweet.
