any math guys?

Edit: yes that’s correct based on the current mathematic trajectory. Biden is going to win Georgia unless something really big happens there.

i haven’t seen the math for PA but it doesn’t look good if you’re one of those red hat wearing idiots. My guess is that Biden is going to win every state sans North Carolina.

The NYTIMES has an article about the protests.  This quote by a Trump supporter in AZ made me laugh.

“The only way Biden can win Arizona is through fraud,” said Jim Williams, 67, a welder who attended the protest. “I won’t accept a Biden victory. I don’t want to live under Communist rule.”

Talk about common clay of the new West.

As I was raking leaves in my lawn yesterday.. I was listening to the POTUS channel on SiriusXM, and they were taking calls.  I couldn't believe how many of the pro Trump callers kept saying this exact same thing.. COMMUNIST RULE/COMMUNISM.  The host asked the caller about medical insurance and what they want.  That caller described universal healthcare to the T and when the host revealed that, he got yelled at for spreading fake news.. God Bless Trump, and hung up.

What I would have said to Mr. Williams is

”Here’s a piece of paper, here’s a desk, here’s a chair, here’s a pen:

Please sit. Need a drink? A snack? Ok, good.

Now please, write down the definition of communism. We will call that paragraph 1

Now please, write down the policies proposed by Joseph Biden. We will call that paragraph 2.

Now please, write down why those policies fit within the definition of communism. We will call that paragraph 3.

If you incorrectly define communism in paragraph 1, I tear up your paper and you fail.

If you incorrectly articulate Biden’s policy proposals in paragraph 2, I tear up your paper and you fail.

If you incorrectly connect Biden’s policies to communism in paragraph 3, I tear up your paper and you fail.

If I read your entire paper and don’t tear it up, I will call you an intellectual.

Do we have a deal?”

My guess is he wouldn’t take me up on that, and that’s how you’d know he’s dishonest.

That would be useless, they are parrots that repeat whatever Trump or his camp says.  No matter how outrageous his claims are, his base eats it up and continue to "own the libs".

Had a family member post about a month ago about when Biden was caught in a lie 20+ years ago and how they couldn't believe anyone would vote for him. Someone mentioned that Trump lies compulsively and their response was 'when has Trump lied'?

So yeah, that's cool.

Odds for Biden down to -525 now, roughly half what they were at yesterday’s peak.  He’s up to -240 in GA and -450 in PA but down to -290 in AZ.

Trump’s messaging today is very important.  There are right wing extremists mobilizing in every contested state.  If Trump riles up his base, we could be fucked.  If the weekend gets here and Trump hasn’t explicitly urged calm, things could explode.

Every state needs to have their fucking votes counted by the end of today, so that at a minimum people know the outcome and Trump can either concede or tell his followers to stand down and let the lawsuits play out.

This is fucked.

Well like I said, that’s how you’d know he’s dishonest. It’s not just that they’re parrots; they are dishonest, and that was my larger point. We shouldn’t shy away from labeling them as such because they fit the description to a T.

Dishonesty is when you assert baseless speculation (i.e. that which is either evidently not true or not evidently true) as if it were a matter of fact. That’s their craft. That’s what they trade on. We shouldn’t waste time calling them stupid, we should be forthright in calling them out for their dishonesty.

Google says 98% reporting done in GA. Is that precincts or votes? If votes, I’m not sure why there is such confidence in GA flipping blue. And have to think that’s a guaranteed recount.

PA seems doable if the 11% outstanding is in Philly and blue areas.

People have no idea what communism/socialism is in America. They just know it’s bad and the Democrats want it because Fox News says so. Republicans are fucking experts at crafting these false narratives for idiots.

Again the mathematic projections suggest Biden will carry a 20k vote lead. Like Walker said of Wisconsin, a recount isn’t going to change an outcome like that. A recount could have changed Florida in 2000 because it was like less than 600 initially, but 20k? Trump is certainly entitled to a recount, but that hardly means he’d win.

I’ve believed since Tuesday, hopefully wrongly, that PA GA and NC was Trump, leaving only NV. And with very little data and only an 8k lead, the pucker factor is high.

While the GA and PA trends have been good, and simple math seems to be that it’s doable, I remain skeptical because I can’t have my dreams shattered again.

PA isn't going to be close in the end. NV votes are going to be very heavy dem and will not be close after the clark county update (all mail in ballots that went like 70% Biden). AZ is a still lean Biden based on votes left, but it'll end up within 20k votes.

Count the vote!  But we'll threaten you while you're doing it!  WTF
Also can I share this with the morons I went to highschool with on fb who keep posting stupidity accusing Biden voters of being Antifa supporting thugs who required that stores in cities be boarded up.

Ridiculous third world nonsense. Also very stupid given their preferred candidate’s circumstances.

They’re not doing a damn thing en masse.  The more obvious it becomes that dipshit will lose by several states, the quicker everyone will start jumping off his bandwagon.  The crazies I know are already crying in their fruity pebbles.
One idiot firing shots is actually the worst thing that can happen for them.

Watched a protester being interviewed on CNN. She was convinced that Obama was behind all of this to turn America communist.

Wouldn’t Obama have done that while he was president? I wish one of these reporters would ask these people to define communism. And they can’t use the words communism, soviet or China within the definition.

Yeah, I think even if Trump pulls a miracle out in AZ, PA is going to push Biden over when their ballots are counted. Some predict a healthy % lead

Oh for fuck’s sake, if they meant Chinese/Soviet “communism,” I would have asked “why the fuck did Obama even open the fucking White House doors to Trump on 1/20/2017?”

People like that are to politics as Vince Russo was to booking professional wrestling: not only don’t they know, they don’t wanna know.

Peaceful  transfer of power means a lot to us, or it should.  That is a great point.

If we are that alleged beacon, then freaking shine it the right way.

Always better to be on top even if momentum is against you because the count will eventually run out of ballots. Both sides have something to cheer and fear.

It could get uncomfortably close in AZ for Biden, but that had always looked to be close.

Georgia map is showing almost all the counties around Atlanta at 95% reported.  Clayton county is the exception at 84% reported and Biden is carrying that county at 85% on 88k votes.

Chatham county (Savannah) is at 87%

Muscogee (Columbus) is at 89%

Just did the math, and using the numbers from CNN, https://www.cnn.com/, to tie it up:

- In Georgia, Biden needs 54.6% of the remaining vote.

- In Arizona, Trump needs 57.3% of the remaining vote.

- In Pennsylvania, Biden needs 60.6% of the remaining vote.

I feel ok about these, less ok about AZ.

Here's a look at when we'll get updates from local officials today:

  • 10:30 a.m. ET: Georgia's Secretary of State will hold a news conference. There's currently a 33,000-vote margin between Trump and Biden, and there’s around 90,000 votes remaining to be counted.
  • Noon ET: Clark County, Nevada, which includes Las Vegas, will give an update. The country has the largest share of votes in Nevada, and was silent on updates yesterday. Across Nevada, Biden holds a slim 8,000 vote lead.
  • 9 p.m. ET: Officials in Arizona's Maricopa County — the biggest county in Arizona, which in the Phoenix area — plan to give their next update. The county tweeted overnight that 275,000 ballots remain.

I think Biden is ahead of that in GA and Pennsylvania but trump a few points behind for AZ?

Think about this way: the AZ dumps have been basically exactly at the ratio Trump needs, no breathing room for him. The PA and GA votes have exceeded what Biden needs; as more votes have come in, his needed percentage of the remaining votes has gone down.

I think at this point you have to assume the current EV count is 253-232, with 26 of Biden’s in expected recount (MI, WI) and 15 of Trumps (NC).  There are 53 EV still undecided (NV, AZ, GA, PA), with Biden favored by a razor thin margin and all of them likely headed for a recount.

Realistic Best case scenario: All 4 states finish up today and Biden wins them all.  Trump tells his radicals to stand down and wait for the recounts/lawsuits.  Early next week the recounts are done, the SC punks him, and he concedes.

Realistic worst case scenario: Trump overtakes in Arizona and holds Georgia.  Trump continues to stoke violence in PA, NV, and MI.  Violent protests erupt across the country.  The SC overturns PA.  The US is for all intents and purposes, a dictatorship.

Most likely case: Trump wins NV or GA.  Biden wins the others.  Trump halfway tells his fucksticks to stand down.  Sporadic violent protests break out.  Trump loses in the courts.
