This could have been a great show on AMC, but probably too expensive. 
 

It would be an awesome Monday show on HBO, but I’m not sure they have the appetite for big budget shows at the moment either.

Just bad timing, and I doubt it gets revisited.

there are also tax benefits to trashing existing/upcoming content.  see batgirl/warners for the prime example.

also for those holding out hope, it was dead in 2020, and was never going to be renewed or revisited by another network.  sucks you can't even watch it now, but expect more of this in the future.

Yeah, HBO ditched Westworld pretty fast after it wrapped up.  Netflix cancels shows after a few seasons or cut back on future episodes because they are extremely tight about residuals and they crunch their data and look at what the numbers look like. It’s also why they are careful about big names in shows.

Hell, Disney is sitting on an Aliens vs Predator anime series produced a couple of years ago that will probably never see the light of day.
