Exactly.  Please, by all means, slut-shame Harris.

Ha--do you think there's any chance the Trumpublicans nominate a woman?

It'll be Harris vs. Trump.  Because there is no chance (1) he won't run, and (2) the Trumpublican Party won't nominate him.

And she will win with about 530 electoral votes (I see you, Alabama).

I take issue with your conclusion that it was the only real choice.  Duckworth would've been a good choice.  As would've been Whitmer.  Frankly, Lujan Grisham would've been a very good choice.  There were plenty of real choices that were available.

I think we all got wrapped around the Susan Rice axle.  That wouldn't have been a good choice.  But that's not to say that there weren't good choices out there.

I think the real race there is Trump vs. Big Mac prior to 2024.

Did I miss something? What would the "slut-shaming" angle even be? That she's a woman who has had a penis inside of her sometimes?

Shes not going to be alot of help in the swing states biden needs to take.

This is fitting as its 2020

This has nothing to do with the November election.  This was a fight within the machinery of the party for the selection of the next heir apparent.  Now if Biden loses in 2024 the rest of the dem establishment will at some point clear the field for Kamala in 2028.

Best part it's coming from a bunch of people who support a man who has 5 kids with three women and who cheated on his pregnant wife with a porn star.

It always gives me a giggle when I see he usual clowns "hurr durr she's a cop, I'm not voting" like they have no clue prosecutors generally are ones taking out white collar crime which so happens to be practically the biggest issue facing the justice system at this moment.

If I were Trump this is one of the first things I would mention about Harris - she loves to protect child rapists:

Quote

In her seven years as district attorney, Harris’s office did not proactively assist in civil cases against clergy sex abuse and ignored requests by activists and survivors to access the cache of investigative files that could have helped them secure justice, according to several victims of clergy sex abuse living in California who spoke to The Intercept.

“It went from Terence Hallinan going hundred miles an hour, full speed ahead, after the Catholic Church to Kamala Harris doing absolutely nothing and taking it backwards hundred miles an hour,” said Joey Piscitelli, a sexual assault survivor, who a jury found had been molested as a student while attending Salesian College Preparatory, a Catholic high school in Richmond, California.

Biden might choose to be only 1 term based on age.

Yeah, not seeing it.  2024 will be “the most important election of our lifetime.”  Biden will run again b/c “the stakes are too high” to give up the incumbency advantage.  Biden still has to beat Trump too which I’m not feeling great about right now. I sure hope Kamala Harris is as great a pick as everyone thinks b/c fuck Trump and the GOP.

Think Fozzz was the first person I put on ignore. Just rolls around shitting on everything. "I'm not gonna vote cause one is Donald and one is blue lives matter" is the perfect Fozzz post. It was nice when he disappeared for awhile and I didn't have to worry about people quoting him

Dude, every time I voice my opinion, you attack me as some kind of Warren or bust stan. We’re on the same side here. We both want Trump and the GOP to get annihilated in the election.  I don’t understand why you keep attacking me over disagreeing on the best way to do that.  I don’t have nearly as much to lose in this election as other people but I very much care about the direction of the country.
I think there’s this flowery assumption that if Biden picks a Black woman, that’s somehow going to solve some of our problems with racism. It won’t. Our racism issues run much deeper. I’m of the opinion Biden should pick the best person for the job, if that person is a Black woman, great, that’s who it should be. I’m all in on the Biden train regardless of the pick but I’m still going to comment on the BS I see in the coverage.  Maybe we can debate the substance of that instead of you discrediting me.

I see Warren as way worse for building a coalition to beat Trump. She’s further left, which will lose independents and moderates. It would also have lost black votes (non voting). Everyone else was voting for Biden no matter what. Harris secures mores votes than Warren.

Listening to Trump talk about Kamala right now is great.  He is now saying she lies and says untruthful things and that she wants to take away healthcare from millions of people.   He said she did poorly in the primaries and also was mean to Judge Kavanagh.  Guess I need to rethink my vote, huh?

Yeah this tells me they don’t know what to say about her and this was a good pick.

Cool you FEEL this way.  Now a word from the Senator from Texas:

IT DOES NOT MATTER HOW FAR LEFT THE VP IS.(perceived or otherwise)

BIDEN IS GOING TO PLAY THE ROLE OF KARL MARX IN THIS ELECTION.

"i'm surprised he picked her, because she didn't do very well in the primaries, and those are, you know, kinda like a poll."

this guy has the political instincts of a tire iron.

Tell me more about this tire iron?  I am intrigued with voting for a tire iron for President as compared to Trump.

Well, and Cornyn is the #2 rated most useless piece of sycophantic shitbag senators from Texas of all time.

I mean, Cruz is a lock for #1, but he's the only thing keeping Johnny from the top spot.

It's going to have to work past its scandalous history.  Word is, it once grabbed a wheel by the nuts.  Of course, when you're a star, wheels let you do that.

Being a big supporter of the progressive movement and not a member of a cult of personality, of course, you ought to be a big Kamala fan given her far left policies.

they mentioned it on cnn, but it's yet another point of distinction between these two men when you look back at the kamala-biden debate moments.  if someone was mean to trump at any point in a debate (or in his entire life) then that person would be dead to him forever.

with that type of mindset, it's no wonder the country is in such great shape right now.

I've said it, but I think it's the right pick. It's the chalk pick. It doesn't create any liabilities or real talking points for Trump. The only talking point they have that might work "she used to be a cop and was tough on minorities!" would kneecap his own "Joe Biden's America won't have police and everyone will be raped every day" fear mongering. Outside of that or any dirt we don't know about, there's not much.

It seems like Biden realized that his "sit back, shut up, don't create red meat, and never interrupt your enemy when they're making a mistake" strategy is working flawlessly, and picked his VP accordingly.

Not sexy, but it's the safe correct and wise pick. Plus she's going to be at Trump's throat like a mother fucking pit bull which is going to rule.

Warren is almost as far left on govtrak, but more importantly just went thru a primary where she clearly landed further left than Harris, and Harris benefits from her DA background.  Sounds like to me Warrent made some big mistakes during the primaries.

It was pretty obvious she was going to be the pick.  I dunno man, if I was the R's, I would've thought about this a few weeks ago and come up with 2-3 solid talking points to release immediately upon announcement.  There were at most 2-3 others for whom they needed to prepare.
