If the Republicans win, does that get them backtracking on being anti-"vote by mail" going forward?

I've always felt like mail in ballots really favor the Republicans in these pandemic days.  And even in non-pandemic days.

I could see it being more of a help to those who favor the minority party in the state the voter is in. Republicans in California not wanting to use up gas to drive 15 minutes to stand in a line for 30 minutes to vote for a guy with no chance and then drive another 15 minutes back home is probably a historical reason for not showing up. You’re out time and money in that situation. In this scenario, you’re facing a deadly virus though, so I’m unsure any time/money factor plays a role. Same could be applied for Democrats in the South.

Either way it’s going to be interesting. Republicans usually win this seat in California anyway. I think it would help both parties sanity if they’re unable to declare a winner tonight to not start up with “fraud” talking points. There’s also an election going on in Wisconsin tonight that should be safe “R” will be fun tracking those numbers.
