People get paid what they are worth. Some actually get more than that. Its astounding.

You truly believe every deserves 6 digits a year right? That's cute.

If people got paid what they're worth then what's the point in hiring them?

It’s seems markstanco is what I call a 401k Trump supporter.  They don’t give a shit about anything Trump does as long as profits are being maximized.  There are plenty of 401k Trump supporters.

The issue with the 401k Trumpers is they’re very shortsighted.  Like a frat boy going out and getting shitfaced with complete disregard for the consequences to follow the next day.

Most the sober citizens in the room see the recklessness of this administration and know the consequences are coming.

However, when damage really starts hitting hard for the 401k Trump supports, there will likely be democrats in office to blame.

Issue with this logic is that YoY the stock market and the economy was improving better under Obama. If it was purely a financial decision, these individuals would have supported Obama. It is increasingly clear that these individuals are either i) racist ii) sexist iii) idiots or some combination of these as it has move way past logical reasoning.

The republican party is a cult. Either you are a true believer or you are against them.

Not really true.  More accurate is it is as good at Obama's best, but still probably just noise:

Trump's time in office looks like Obama's '13-'14, which is a good 2 year period.  If he repeats that over the next two years, I'd be willing to consider it not being random movement and maybe attribute it somewhat to him.

But that's the benefit of hindsight.  The point was that, if the stock market was any indicator of improving economic fortunes (and we can argue whether or not that's the case), then Obama would have had widespread support among the right.  But he didn't.  It was all "Muslim", "he's gonna take our guns", "Obamacare", etc.  Now, the latter came to pass, eventually, but the reality is that Obama is not and never was a Muslim, nor was he not an American, nor did he try to take everyone's guns.  He also fostered an economic turnaround that by any measure has to be viewed as a major success.

The problem for the right?  He was black.

That's it.

Trump also has the support of a Congress that wants to stimulate the economy. Obama didn't after 2010, which was when our economy actually needed stimulus.

I talked to a friend this weekend who grew up with Eric Trump. They were in each other's weddings.  Full disclosure: my friend and his wife HATE everything about the Trump presidency and are pretty liberal.

I was shocked to hear him say that Eric and "Donny" weren't always huge douchebags.  Their dad wasn't around much in their formative years, and he said they were both decent guys through high school. But when Dotard needed them, they went all in for their father.  The main thing my friend was trying to convey was Eric and Don Jr. don't really believe anything they say. It's all part of the bullshit, disingenuous clown show that is a Trump presidency.  They willingly sold their souls, but they weren't inherently bad people like their father.

Yeah, that's what mafia families do.

Oh, absolutely. I'm not trying to make them sympathetic characters.  Fuck them.

But it's just more proof that everything about the Trump presidency is built on lies.

What was the point of even asking DOTUS a question that most assuredly would result in a lie?

A key argument in the president's defense strategy. We just cannot allow purjury traps like this

lol they are gonna replace Rosenstein with this guy.

He clerked for the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, whose bobblehead figure is kept as a reminder on Francisco's desk. lol. How does that work? I'm quitting so you can't fire me.

Don't care, you're fired anyway.

That's exactly what it looks like. "I'm resigning in anticipation of being fired."

Not seeing that on the website -- maybe it's buried in the stories.

Not seeing it on CNN twitter yet either. Only seeing it on their on-air reporting from Kaitlan Collins.

If Trump fires him, Mueller needs to present so much evidence or have a dead-man's switch ready that will bury him and that whole family for generations.

Remember, we literally had posters here only a few months ago asking what Trump was doing that could be compared to a dictatorship.

No way I'd resign knowing Dotard doesn't have the guts to fire anyone.

Kelly does and will.  Trump would just fire off a tweet.

Trump doesn't, but Kelly is his willing hatchet man.

Then why hasn't Kelly fired him earlier.  It's not like Dotard hasn't been whining about illegal witch hunt and shitty FBI and all that other shit for over a year now.

Because they didn't think they could get away with it politically before the recent story about Rosenstein.  Trump's whining is mostly for public consumption.

And now it's too late.

This is going to have little to no effect on Robert Mueller.

Yeah, the Times got used in this deal.  If the authors of that story weren't complicit in it, they are morons for not seeing the motivations for the leak.

Maybe this has been asked, but why is it so horrible if Rosenstein did talk about wires and the 25th amendment in a non-joking manner?  Is it just because it pisses Trump off? There's nothing illegal with it is there? Isn't it the job of people in power in DC to bring up the topic if it might apply?
