Well, that is a liberal talking point for the last ohhhh....60 years.  So....

Well, no.  Nobody with a brain (which to be fair rules out Trump and everyone who voted for him) has declared that we maintain military presence "in countries most people haven't even heard about".  Do you ever tire of being wrong so much?

Read it again.

Liberals have protested overseas military presence for decades.

Now....

Here, let's make it simple for you (and fuck your liberals have protested years shit---that's a fucking distraction)

This is a quote from the President.  Not a "liberal".

Making people (the military and their families) feel really, really good about their sacrifices they have made over the years.

The President.

Make sense now?   Goddamn, some of you fucking tories are just fucking stupid.

No they haven’t. That’s utterly absurd. In fact that’s the “neo” in neoconservativism- the adoption by establishment Republicans of liberal ideas about the use of military force to promote America interests and ideals abroad.

You’re talking about leftists and new leftists. Those aren’t liberals.

Name one liberal president who said that in a speech given to our troops as their commander in Chief, you completely ignorant dipshit.

So you agree the issue is with Trump and not the message.  Nobody has ever said the shit Trump says.

I can copy and paste an unlimited number of, “decrease international military presence” posts from TOS.

You'll have to forgive him. He was designed with only one bit of storage to catalog the range of political persuasions.

Trump is the president, not some bullshit poster on a message board, like you.

I support decreased foreign military deployment.

I don't support the leader of the country telling fighting men and women that they've wasted their time and blood in overseas shitholes when they could have been deployed saving us from the ebil caravans.

I saw the picture of Trump and that guy attached to a Seal unit, but didn't hear the audio.  Did Trump mention there was a Seal Team there, or did the media point out the guy as a Seal?

I ask, because he's not a Seal, he's a chaplain who may be attached to a Seal unit, but in no way would he be mistaken for a Seal by the press Corp. If you zoom in you'll see he's not wearing a Trident badge...he has a chaplain insignia.

So either, Trump blabbed to the cameras or someone with inside knowledge leaked it to the press.

There is a vision of decreased American military involvement in all corners of the globe. It also requires massive investments in diplomacy, international cooperation with trusted allies, patience, leadership and a great communicator with conviction. There is no scenario where a compromised, addle-brained coward tweets about it and this turns out well.

The pool report went on to say that Trump paused to take a selfie with U.S. Navy Lieutenant Commander Kyu Lee, who said he was the chaplain for SEAL Team Five, based out of Coronado, California. The chaplain said Trump told him: “Hey, in that case, let’s take a picture.”

Matt dick toilet grift Whitaker listed Academic All - American on his resume. Was he? No. That doesn't matter. What's important is that I was Batman and a Rhodes Scholar and I invented the automatic transmission. I roundhoused Mike Tyson in the throat for questioning that. 12 inches.

I looking at the phontos I have two observations.

First off,  Trump didn't realize the biggest flight jacket was a XXXL.

Second, even a nice girl lookng for a green card stops kissing you after you publicly humiliate her. Well... at least until she has her green card.

Facts tend to be unwelcome here.

Fucking nitwit.

Comparing the left’s almost two decade’s long opposition to the GOP created Iraqi fake WMD war that never ends to Cheeto’s unilateral tweet to withdraw us from Syria - a day after we told our allies we were still committed to Syria - is so you.

Limit your ‘both sides’ activities to pounding your nuts with a hammer.

Donald Trump pretended to have bone spurs to get out of military service during the Vietnam War. We know this. The media know that we know. But we make-believe that we don't know and the media make-believe that they believe that we don't know, but know that we know. Everybody knows.

We're a very knowledgeable country.

I hate Trump but I think this is overblown. Unless those guys were DEVGRU or otherwise under the DIA program to manage cover of key assets, I don’t think ‘regular’ Team guys identity is some huge secret...they may have been part of his cover detail for all we know.

I feel like there are many more legit, treasonous, illegal things that deserve attention on DJT than this. The key thing with this photo op that bothers me is that it appears he *surprised face* arranged it for his own political gain...and not something that was an accident or agreed upon by those operators.

Firstly, this guy was a chaplain, not a Seal apparently.

But putting team members identity online is a huge no-no, 6 or otherwise. They have to abide by strict rules re: social media and such.

Trump appears unannounced on Iraqi sovereign soil for a photo op and left without meeting any Iraqi leadership.  Iraqis are pissed to the extent they are evidently threatening to demand our full withdrawal.

Unlike Turkey, it sounds like they don’t have blackmail leverage over Trump, so it might take a little longer.

If anyone else in that room posted a picture without faces blurred and the location obscured they'd be up for a court-martial.

But wasn't it just a picture of a chaplain?  He's not a Seal, so why should his face be blurred?

I'm with Homer, this is much Ado about nothing.  There's no advantage to the enemy by knowing there's a Seal team in Iraq... everyone knows we have DEVGRU teams in Iraq.

No, it was more than that.

Trump posted a video of him and Melania posing for pics with Seal Team 5 in full battle gear. You can see the video on Trump's Twitter.

I'm not posting the video here because doing so feels extremely irresponsible.

If he ever deletes it, it will not show up here or anywhere else that linked it.

But he won’t delete it.   And the damage is done.

He’s Donald Fuckin Trump, Executive Bigly Moron .

Oh, ok.  I'd only seen the one picture of the chaplain.  Posting a video/image of the full team without disguising their faces is completely irresponsible.

That's what I get for giving DOTUS the benefit of the doubt.  I won't make that mistake again.

CBSNews:

Politicians from both sides of Iraq's political divide are calling on parliament to vote to expel U.S. troops. Approximately 5,000 U.S. troops are stationed in Iraq as part of the coalition against the Islamic State of Syria and Iraq (ISIS) group.

Foreign influence has become a hot-button issue in a year that saw supporters of populist cleric Moqtada al-Sadr win the largest share of votes in May elections. Al-Sadr has called for curbing U.S. and Iranian involvement in Iraqi affairs.

Mr. Trump spent three hours at a U.S. air base meeting with American troops on an unannounced visit Wednesday. He left without meeting any Iraqi officials.

Lawmakers decried the visit as arrogant and a violation of Iraqi sovereignty.
