Opposite is true

Another former Trump employee told the New Yorker that black staff were hidden from Trump when he visited the casino with his wife. “When Donald and Ivana came to the casino, the bosses would order all the black people off the floor,” said Kip Brown.

I know a soldier serving in Syria.  He texted me the following this morning:  "Trump is an asshole".

True story.

No other context there.   That was the entire message.

He decided to impose tariffs b/c he was mad that the HIC committee was mean to Hope Hicks (and one other reason I can't remember).

How can we contort the office of the president so that it conforms to the whims and tantrums of a toddler. Seems to be the overarching theme.

You're not a car guy, are you?

What I wrote was, and is, 100% accurate.  Japanese cars barely existed in the U.S.  in the early 60's, when smog control technology started to pick up, and CA was, with very few exceptions, on the cutting edge and the other states followed, time and again.

And, what exactly is "ridiculous" about devices that reduce exhaust emissions?     Those of us that don't live in bumfuck like to breathe cleaner air.

And do you really believe that Jap engines were/are "produced more precisely"?   Please elaborate?  Do japanese engines use closer tolerances than US engines?  Go ahead and tell us all about it.

My great uncle was an engineer at Boeing. He went over to Japan before WW2 and helped them to make airplanes.

At least that was a story he told me when I was a kid.

Supposedly the Japanese stole a lot of technology from Hughes Aircraft, too.

My nephew is deploying again, for the fourth time.  He has a two year old.  Enough.

didnt Trump go after obama for giving a timeline to leave ME countries?   Said it effectively handing over the playbook.  Trump just told Isis to hang on just a bit longer and he will give their territory back.  Even if he was just talking bs at his recent rally, this could give Isis more confidence and cost American lives.

for the record, I disagreed with the obama or any timeline to leave a war.  If anything we should state that we will leave a war when we achieve the goals.  Whether that is 1week or 1year.

To be fair to Obama, it was Bush who negotiated the exit timeline from Iraq. Yeah, you can criticize him for sticking with it and, of course, an argument can be made that the job wasn't done. But he wasn't the one who made the deal.

The job will never be done in the Middle East.  It's like a game where every move is the wrong one.

Started Trump: An American Dream on Netflix last night.   Got through the first episode.   It's good.  Amazing how he really hasn't changed at all since he was young.  Doing the same shtick he was doing then, talking the same way.   There was a moment of Fred talking too, and they sound identical in their hucksterism.

I can't figure out how to get the trailer to link here.   And its not available on Youtube yet.  Sorry

Pretty much, outside of going for an old school colonization/democratization approach which would be bloody and likely disastrous for everyone.

CNN did a little piece yesterday about Bannon/Gates/Manafort. It portrayed Cambridge Analytica as Bannon's pet project that was in search of a vehicle to promote the buzz words that would resonate with voters. Walla. Enter DOTUS.

I’d argue the Koch/Mercer Astroturfed Tea Party movement was where the seeds were firmly planted for Bannon/Cambridge Analytica to orchestrate the Trump victory, with blessings and assistance from the Kremlin.

From what we now know, it’s reasonable to speculate the Kremlin and Mercer/Bannon/Cambridge Analytica had many of the same tools/data and tactics leading up to the 2016 election but they weren’t necessarily working together.

It appears Ted Cruz was initially the Mercer/Bannon/CA horse for 2016 while Trump was the Kremlin candidate and it was a “may the best candidate win” approach.

However, once Trump won the nomination, Mercer/Bannon/CA went all in on the Trump train which synchronized well with what the Russians were already doing.

It was a perfect shit storm of fuckery.

However, despite the president’s claims that these online retailers are creating a loss for the Postal Service, Amazon and other e-commerce sites have been helping to staunch the Post Office’s losses. Shipping and package revenue is on track to surpass first-class mail revenue. The Post Office itself said that e-commerce was helping to keep it afloat.

“Revenue from Shipping and Packages was $19.5 billion, $0.5 billion above the planned amount, due to e-commerce growth and the successful implementation of various marketing and sales campaigns,” the USPS said in its 2017 fiscal year report to Congress.

In comparison, first-class mail revenue for 2017 came in $0.4 billion less than expected, which the Post Offices says was due to increased use of electronic services. And while the USPS cites a loss of about $2.7 billion for the 2017 fiscal year, the losses are half those of 2016 and 2015. Total revenues still shrank year-over-year, but the Postal Service was able to cut its expenses by close to $5 billion from 2016.

Regarding the Cambridge Analytica Data set compiled in 2013 based on Facebook 70-100k surveys, I’d like to know if those surveys were selectively targeted to Tea Party/Breitbart leaning people/readers.

Because that would be the best way for Mercer to get the most bang for his buck as opposed to just random Facebook users.  If he could build a 50 million psychographic data set based on the friends of Tea Party people, it’s a lot more powerful if his intention was to grow an online political movement.

Thoughts and prayers to them.

Its honorable that they allowed exactly one black girl and black guy, one each, to participate.  They even put them at the outer edge of the group so they'd be easy to spot.
