yep. His mom was awesome too, before the Alzheimer's. Hauled me around like I was one of her own when we were kids. Breaks my heart every time he goes on a FB rant, but what are you gonna do?

Pence may not remember, but I'm sure our southern neighbors do.  Tone deaf as fuck.

Yeah....that's a lecture and finger-wag that rings a BIT hollow south of the Rio.  "The United States" and "respectful of Latin American sovereignty" are two concepts that, ummm, don't go together very well.

The United States of America shouldn't lecture anyone on respecting national sovereignty.

A socialist that is the antithesis of everything he stands for won the primary. Not sure if they don’t give Grandpa all the info or if he is fucking scared of November.

LOL I was about to post the same thing - he's managed to push Queens even further to the left. I'm sure the 28-year old Socialist candidate will be even more amenable to Trump's policies.

He does realize these were primaries so a Republican was going to win in every Republican primary, right?

No, I don’t think he does.

God, I love Annette Bening in that movie so bad. She's perfect.

Can't enjoy West Wing either. Feels way too idealistic and the characters make too much sense.

Remember when Presidents would sweat one person’s life as collateral damage (the Libyan custodian)?

I think the cruelty is what his hardcore supporters want.  Trump doesn’t care about the wall, neither do his supporters.
In fact, it would work to Trump’s advantage not to get the Wall because he could always have that card to play when he wants to stir up the base.
It’s the same reason our immigration policy remains fucked up due to far right republicans not getting on board for a reasonable solution.
If they solved the immigration issue, it would be more difficult to blame the others invading from the South.
Let’s not pretend the Republicans really care about national security.
It behooves the GOP not to resolve issues, but to keep them issues. Health care is another example- oppose the Clinton Universal Healthcare Initiative, propose nothing when you control the House, Senate, and presidency for 4 of W's 8 year, add 161 amendments to the ACA then claim it was railroaded through, make a spectacle trying to overturn it, then faceplant when you unexpectedly find yourself in control of the House, Senate, and presidency again. Then push for cuts to Medicare and Medicaid, for flair.

See? Told y'all government can't do anything right.

EDIT:  LOL at Mojo beating me by like 2 seconds

And you both have 749 rep points and got repped 3 points each on above post.   Not rep obsessed, but that’s some voodoo shit right there...

That was the exact scene where I turned it off, after he said that was the least presidential thing he had done. Almost threw my remote through the tv.

Sad that this self promotion of his golf property doesn't even rate a single news story or comments about the inappropriateness of using his position to promote his business.

Just a little light corruption before heading off to bed.

I agree.  That's because they are there to get their picture taken and to line their pockets.  They have no idea how to solve any of the problems and if they did, they wouldn't have the balls to stand up to the corporations that put them there.  They use sound bites and photo ops to play the concern troll.  We've allowed big money to put these people in positions of representation.   Now we are seeing some like Beto and Ocasia-Cortez step up to try to govern, break the game you described.

Insert algorithm

[Fake polls] because [Donald J. Trump] is doing [bigly] support in America and will win bigly in November [2020] with [100% electoral college victory]

35% say Trump deserves re-election in Arizona (underwater by 6 points in approval)

37% say Trump deserves re-election in Florida (underwater by 1 point in approval)

34% say Trump deserves re-election in Ohio (underwater by 14 points in approval)

Looks like some counterprotesters would be a good idea.

I'd say this is an instance where just being a customer, and laughing at the morons as you cross their line, would be sufficient.

Counterprotest taunts of the olds could be fun.  Not necessarily productive, or engaging in any way....but fun.  And at this point, all I expect this country to do as it collapses is to entertain me.

"WE LIKE RED HEN, WE'RE THEIR FRIENDS -- YOU'RE JUST OLD FUCKS WHO WEAR DEPENDS"

Maybe some cracks about going home to watch Matlock, shit like that.

Then we can see some old fuck try to take a swing at someone and fall down.

Because fuck it, why not?

What I don't get is the one dude in front of the restaurant with the press, having his own private anti-LGBT protest.

If you got it, you would be crazy.

I think one of the articles mentioned there are gay employees.

I have never been anywhere that gay people openly congregate where there wasn't some preacher having a protest about it.
