I wish I could've launched a missile strike the other day when I went back into Jimmy John's and asked the staff if they'd seen any sunglasses while they were resting on the bill of my cap.

Steal taxpayer money. How many pallets of cash vanished over there? The accounting company was little more than a PO Box.

The President who at one point was having a difficult time finding lawyers is now helping his lawyer find a lawyer while they discuss things on the phone against the advice of the President's lawyers.  And he has sex with pornstars without wearing a condom.  Fuck the police.

Well, I can drink to that.

A Danish tourist traveling in New York City says he was mugged at knifepoint by two men angered by a "Make America Great Again" hat he had purchased.

The New York Post reports that 18-year-old Jannich Andersen was ambushed in a subway station in Manhattan by two men, one of whom had a knife, who stole the red "Make America Great Again" hat that he bought as a joke gift for his father.

Andersen said he struggled over the hat with one of the robbers before the other brandished the knife.

"He asked if I knew what it symbolized, and said I couldn't leave with the hat," Andersen told the Post. "He was clearly offended."

"I tried to walk away, and then he followed me and grabbed it again, and we just [stood] there both holding the hat," he added. "Then one of my friends told me one of the [robber's] friends had a knife."

"I began to shake, and as I heard the word 'knife' I let the hat go," he said.

New York police released a sketch of one of the subjects, described as a white male in his 20s or 30s. Andersen added to the Post that he doesn't understand why people would react violently to seeing the hat.

"I bought it for my dad as a joke," he said. "I don't know why I decided to wear it. I didn't think some people would take it so far to [try to] stab a tourist over a hat."

He adds that he plans to return to New York City in the future, "but not with that kind of headwear ever again."

Dotard is projecting mightily this morning.
He's acting like he's read it cover to cover.

Unless it’s a picture book, he’s waiting for the audiobook

I'd say he's become dislodged, but I've said that like 20 times already.

Trump is the epitome of the Dumb & Dumber line..." Just when I think you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this... and totally redeem yourself!"

Totes normal. Definitely not wagging the dog.

Edit: My quote didn’t capture the tweet I’m referring to. It was about Trump asking his legal team about the strikes in Syria.

Original post...

To be fair, there is a significant legal question involved when choosing to strike a country without Congressional approval. Between having very few advisors left, and only trusting a fraction of those, it’s not the most outrageous idea for him to speak to his attorneys.

Now, do I think that’s why he asked them? Probably not. But this revelation ranks near the bottom of issues I have right now.

so much for wag-the-dog

This is what it looks like when a guilty person doesn't have a lawyer.

Wag the dog doesn't work when the country has been in perpetual war mode for the last 16 years.

I need more Chooky TL;DRs in my life.

Trump goes on a Twitter tantrum lashing out at his adversaries and doesn't seem to understand that a good chunk of his base is pissed because of the perception that he's abandoning his isolationist stance on foreign policy.  I don't think he even knows they're mad.  He even doubled-down on "Mission Accomplished," the literal catch phrase from the era they now despise.

Chunk of Trump's Base:  We're not happy about the perpetuation of Middle East Interventionism.

Trump:  Mission Accomplished!!!

Chunk of Trump's Base:  We also think KISS is the worst band ever and we hate their lyrics.

Trump:  I want to rock-n-roll all night and party everyday.

This might deserve its own thread, but I was thinking about how lucky we are that certain people are in place.

Mueller - beyond reproach from both sides of aisle

Rosenstein - sticks to his guns

Sessions - probably neck-deep in whatever collusion happened, but at least he recused himself

Comey - shameless self-promoter who is trying to do the right thing

Cohen - redneck New York fixer who fancies himself as a real world Ray Donovan; involved in everything related to Trump including payoffs, intimidation (?), talking to Russians in Prague as a fixer (?); by taping conversations, may have found a way to document whatever he and Trump were up to

There's a whole list of complicit enablers on the unlucky side of the ledger. Like Ryan, McConnell, Dershowitz, Fox, etc.

Hard to tell who will win.
