Yep.  Party of fiscal responsibility.

Quote

President Trump announced Thursday that he plans to nix an automatic pay raise for federal workers because of the “nation’s fiscal situation.” About 1.8 million people will not get an automatic pay increase next year under the policy. “We must maintain efforts to put our nation on a fiscally sustainable course, and federal agency budgets cannot sustain such increases,”  Trump wrote in a letter to leaders of Congress. Most employees were expecting to get a 2.1 percent raise. Trump believes that instead of the “across-the-board” increases currently in place, raises should be based on performance. His plan would also get rid of additional pay for workers who live in parts of the country with high costs of living. The White House said this would save about $25 billion in the next fiscal year. The Senate passed a 1.9 percent pay increase for next year, but the House approved a bill that goes along with Trump’s freeze. “Federal employees deserve the full measure of pay comparability provided by the law, and a 1.9 percent increase is the minimum that Congress should consider,” American Federation of Government Employees President J. David Cox said in a statement.

Federal Workers need to make sacrifices so that we can have our SPACE FORCE!!!

Meanwhile, he continues to tease the possibility of making inflation adjustments to capital gains. Because Warren Buffet needs to hedge against inflation, but his mail carrier can fend for herself.

One of my biggest regrets in life is that I only pissed on one of his campaign signs while driving through his district. I really wished I filmed it so I could tweet the video at the treasonous bastard daily.

“Devin Nuuuuness. It’s time! Oh it’s time motherfucker”

Just finished watching this and I can say with high confidence this is the most comprehensive documentary to date on Trump/Russia AND Kremlin subversion operations.   It is a must watch for anyone that wants to know where the geopolitical world is headed. It’s a very fast paced documentary but extraordinarily comprehensive.  It’s 110 minutes long.  It’s also great that John McCain was a big part of this project given the timing of its release.

It’s a $4 rental on iTunes.

Covered Topics

After watching this, I speculate it was Evan McMullen that leaked the recording of Paul Ryan and Kevin McCarthy talking about Trump being paid by Putin and then trying to conceal that conversation.

Because McMullen is a CIA officer and he was in the room at the time.

Did Trump live near some wind mills?

I'm fairly certain that Trump sued to keep a windfarm from messing up the views of one of his golf courses (maybe in Scotland?).  Since then he's had some sort of personal vendetta against wind power / windmills.

Found the article:  https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-scotland-north-east-orkney-shetland-35106581

Donald Trump's legal challenge to a planned offshore wind farm has been rejected by the UK's Supreme Court.

Developers hope to site 11 turbines off Aberdeen, close to Mr Trump's golfing development on the Aberdeenshire coast.

The US businessman and presidential hopeful was taking on the Scottish government, which approved the plan.

The Trump Organisation said it was an "extremely unfortunate" ruling and it would "continue to fight" the wind farm proposal.

Former First Minister Alex Salmond said the latest court verdict left Mr Trump a "three-time loser".

The Trump Organisation responded: "Does anyone care what this man thinks? He's a has-been and totally irrelevant."

Mr Trump began his challenge to the decision to grant planning permission more than two years ago.

He was furious when the Scottish government approved plans for the renewable energy development within sight of his multi-million pound golf development on the Menie estate, north of Aberdeen.

He said the turbines would spoil the view.

Mr Trump made a series of legal challenges in the Scottish courts and then took the fight to the UK's Supreme Court in London.

He argued that planning consent for the wind farm was so imprecise as to make it legally invalid.

The Supreme Court judges delivered a unanimous ruling.

'Every possible front'

The Trump Organisation said: "This is an extremely unfortunate verdict for the residents of Aberdeen and anyone who cares about Scotland's economic future.

"The EOWDC (European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre) will completely destroy the bucolic Aberdeen Bay and cast a terrible shadow upon the future of tourism for the area.

"History will judge those involved unfavourably and the outcome demonstrates the foolish, small-minded and parochial mentality which dominates the current Scottish government's dangerous experiment with wind energy.

"We will evaluate the court's decision and continue to fight this proposal on every possible front."

Andy Paine, project director for Aberdeen Offshore Wind Farm Ltd, said: "This is another significant step forward for the EOWDC.

"It affirms the scheme's potential to position Scotland, and particularly the north east, as a centre of innovative offshore wind power."

Energy Minister Fergus Ewing said: "I am pleased that the Supreme Court has unanimously found in our favour.

"The proposed European Offshore Wind Deployment Centre is an important project for Aberdeen and north east Scotland.

"It will give the industry the ability to test and demonstrate new technologies to enable costs to be further reduced.

"Aberdeen is already of global importance for hydrocarbons and this wind deployment centre cements its role in renewable offshore development, further positioning Aberdeen as the energy capital of Europe and a world energy centre."

'Move on'

SNP MP and MSP Mr Salmond, who led the Scottish government until a year ago, said: "As first minister, I was cited in Trump's legal action. Now that it is concluded, I am free to speak my mind on the damaging impact of his interventions on the Scottish economy.

"These proceedings have been dragged out for years through three successive court judgements by Donald Trump as he tried to stop an offshore Aberdeen wind turbine demonstrator by means of legal action.

"In doing so he has at best postponed, and at worst jeopardised, a vital £200m boost for the economy of the north east of Scotland.

"The offshore project could have been built by now with Aberdeen benefiting from becoming the offshore wind research centre of Europe - a vital development at a time of rock bottom oil prices."

WWF Scotland director Lang Banks said: "This result is great news for Scotland and for all those interested in tackling climate change and creating jobs.

"Having failed in his attempt to undermine Scotland's renewables ambitions, it's now time for Mr Trump to move on."

Thousands of birds fly into windows every day. Let's get rid of windows!!

Had a guy last night say to me, "There's nothing in the constitution that says the president has to be smart." I really didn't know how to respond. Mind bottling.

Fucking priceless.  Donald needs to get on the horn with all those utilities and power engineers who overlooked this key failure mode.

Yes I am fucking shocked all these smart investors around the world have invested billions in wind farms while overlooking this obvious fatal flaw. Thank god we have a president who had the foresight to wear his hair like a giant mainsail to test for just these type of difficult to detect environmental phenomena.

Donald Trump realizes he's in a lot of trouble.

The only way he can save himself is through politics. This is yet another attempt to protect himself with political capital.

It's not going to work.

Acquaintance of mine is a pretty well-known national Libertarian pundit....A while back he floated the theory that Trump only ran for president because he knew he was already in deep shit with his finances, and now he gets to claim that all attacks on him are politically motivated.

When it hits the fan, he'll duck out because it was always about money and his brand rather than than being the POTUS.

nope. I've been alive since 1978 and everything the GOP has told me in my lifetime has been a lie.

Second thought: And to be fair, the Democrats are no fucking saints. They have lied to me too, but those lies have caused much less detriment to my actual daily life.

Now its clear why Trump has been on a tear about this guy.

Trump might've jumped the gun by trying to convince everyone that a guy nobody even knew existed was a disgraceful piece of shit who we should all hate.  From now on Trump will begin the day by telling everyone who they should hate two weeks into the future.  This would be an organized way for all of us to know who sucks and who to hate when we don't even know who they are.  The only thing I hate more than all of the people I already hate are all of the people I don't even know I hate yet.  Fuck you, guy I don't even know!

Lockheed Martin solution to Russia/China problem: build more jets!

With a Raptor’s body and the JSF’s brain, the new jet would aim to answer the next decade’s Russian and Chinese threats.

Lockheed Martin is quietly pitching the U.S. Air Force a new variant of the F-22 Raptor, equipped with the F-35’s more modern mission avionics and some structural changes, Defense One has learned.

It is one of several options being shopped to the U.S.military and allies as Lockheed explores how it might upgrade its combat jets to counter Russian and Chinese threats anticipated by military officials in the coming decade, according to people with direct knowledge of the plan.

“You’re building a hybrid aircraft,” David Deptula, a retired Air Force lieutenant general who is now dean of the Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies. “It’s not an F-22. It’s not an F-35. It’s a combination thereof. That can be done much, much more rapidly than introducing a new design.”

The new variant — similar to one Lockheed is pitching to Japan — would incorporate the F-35’s more modern mission system and “other advancements in the stealth coatings and things of that nature,” according to a person familiar with the proposal.
