Russia has been sanctioned to fuck already, it's just that dotard and his minions don't enforce shit.  That's not going to change.

It will when the people supposed to enforce are subpoenaed to testify before Congress.

Just pointing out the extreme bias from CNN. You know they would never-ever-ever praise Trump.

Trump in a tweet directed at Mexico, asked our Congress to build the wall.

The irony would be humorous if it wasn’t so sad.

Its like an old man bitching to his wife that he’s not getting laid and asking Viagra to get him hard.

Wait, what thread was this?

I see positive reports/remarks on Trump frequently on CNN, and not just from his surrogates.

As much as I loathe the imbecile Trump & most of his policies to date, the GM transformation is their last chance to save their company in the face of a changing world. This would have happened no matter who was in the oval office. Although the $300mm increase in their commodity costs in the 3rd quarter due primarily to tariffs on imported steel & aluminum certainly cuts into their profits. Those costs might reach $1b next year.

But I expect dotard to tweet something asinine blaming/threatening GM within the next 24 hours. It's all he knows to do.

Yeah, Trump has little say in these matters.  There is no fault on GM.  They are going to do what they need to do.  It's the retard rhetoric where Trump pretends he controls these things that are mockable.

W/r/t businesses, the president is like a baseball manager.  You can't do much to help your team win, but you can do a lot to help them lose.

Yeah, everyone with a brain realizes this.  But Trump got millions of votes on the empty promise of bringing manufacturing back to the Rust Belt, so he needs to get hit hard when reality strikes and these inevitable events occur.

Besides the elderly/mouth-breathers/neckbeards/rurals/whiteys (most of these are the same) who in the blue fuck actually still supports this very large piece of human excrement?

But Hillary!

I think it is just a bunker mentality.  People see things as us-v-them and made their choice as to what side they are on.  They are not persuaded by any fact because there is only one fact that matters:  they have a side to fight for.   It is no more likely they will end their support than some marine deciding to change into a Japanese uniform in mid 1944.

The GOP is anti-education.

Because they know once you get an education you won't vote Republican.

The GOP strategy is to keep people poor and stupid but make them believe they're smart and rich.

They work harder without putting up a fight that way.

I had a decent idea for a couple of steampunk novels, but didn't feel it was worth the time.

May have to rethink.  #MASA

I'll be honest I do not like the attack on anyone's kids.  I think the reason's generally behind doing so are of such low morality that I simply think it wrong to do so.  I also do not think that just because President Trump views women as objects he views his daughter as a sexual object as well.

I was coming to post asking our proud flag waving Trump supporters if they would have vilified Obama had he asked a military commander about using "steam or Electromagnetic" to power our new carriers "because you have to be Einstein operate Electromagnet!" To which the Commander basically explains that they are sort of "Einstein's today with their nuclear based power plants."  I would have been aghast had Obama shown such a lack of understanding of our military might.  And I would have said so.  Why don't more military veterans that happen to be Republican criticize our current President on his lack of understanding of the military he loves so very much from afar?

I also wanted to seek comment on Russia's seizing of Ukranian ships, and the lack of comment from the White House?  Again I think had Obama been mute on the subject our proud flag waving Trump supporters would have cried out at the weakness of Obama!  Yet nary a peep, for Trump. Haley does her thing at the UN as usual without any support from the Bully Pulpit by Trump.  Same Trump that took to twitter to attack Cheif Justice Roberts, has been quiet as a church mouse on Putin's muscle flexing.

Mini- survey -since we all know that Putin is much smarter and has dirt on Trump why do you think Putin is doing this?

A) He's flexing his muscles and knows Trump won't respond with anything but timidity.

B) Putin is creating a false crisis that he can withdraw from to allow Trump to look like his is strong, heading into or at the G20.

I was going to put up a C answer but couldn't think of many other plausible options.  I almost think it's B simply as Trump sort of needs a little life line and Putin gives up nothing. Trump's never ending refusal to confront or contradict Putin publicly is another curiousity that our proud flag waving Trump supporters would vilified Obama for.  Can you imagine the reaction of our proud flag waving Trump supporters if Obama vacationed at his second home and charged the government rent for security?

This has been another "snapshot in hypocrisy" by those those proud flag waving embracers of Trump and who endlessly criticized Obama on the military front for far, far less...

Quote

When Donald Trump was watching his 16-year-old daughter Ivanka host the 1997 Miss Teen USA pageant, he turned to the then-Miss Universe and asked: “Don’t you think my daughter’s hot? She’s hot, right?”

Quote

“My daughter, Ivanka. She’s 6 feet tall, she’s got the best body. She made a lot money as a model—a tremendous amount.”

Quote

Let me tell you one thing: Ivanka is a great, great beauty. Every guy in the country wants to go out with my daughter. But she’s got a boyfriend.”

Quote

Mr Trump replies in the affirmative when host Howard Stern asks him if he can call Ivanka "a piece of ass”.

Trump: “My daughter is beautiful, Ivanka."

Stern: “By the way, your daughter…”

Trump: “ - she’s beautiful"

Stern: “Can I say this? A piece of ass.”

Trump: “Yeah.”

Quote

He added: "I don't think Ivanka would do that, although she does have a very nice figure. I've said if Ivanka weren't my daughter, perhaps I'd be dating her."

Quote

“She's actually always been very voluptuous,” Trump responds. “She's tall, she's almost 6 feet tall and she's been, she's an amazing beauty.”

Quote

“After I met Ivanka and praised her to her father, he said, ‘Yeah, she's really something, and what a beauty, that one. If I weren't happily married and, ya know, her father . . .’”

AP/DETROIT: “GM to slash 14,700 jobs in North America”: “General Motors will lay off 14,700 factory and white-collar workers in North America and put five plants up for possible closure as it restructures to cut costs and focus more on autonomous and electric vehicles.

Quote

Plants without products include assembly plants in Detroit; Lordstown, Ohio; and Oshawa, Ontario. Also affected are transmission factories in Warren, Michigan, as well as Baltimore. About 6,000 factory workers could lose jobs in the U.S. and Canada, although some could transfer to truck plants.

Quote

FLASHBACK: PRESIDENT TRUMP on July 26, 2017 in Youngstown, via the Columbus Dispatch: “‘I said, those jobs have left Ohio. They’re all coming back. They’re all coming back. Don’t move, don’t sell your house,’ the president told the cheering audience.

“‘We’re going to fill up those factories or rip them down and build new ones,’ Trump said, adding later, ‘After years and years of sending our jobs and wealth to other countries, we are finally standing up for our workers and for our companies. ... We never again will sacrifice Ohio jobs and those in other states to enrich other countries.’”

Again, nevermind the politics of it - I remain most pissed off about the utter cruelty of him casually giving what any sane person knew was FALSE hope to factory workers in Ohio, coal minders in West Virginia, etc.  "We're gonna make buggy whip manufacturing great again!"  No.  No you're not.  It's not up to you.  The laws of economics prevail, and those laws have dictated this trend for decades.  Magic words from an orange man aren't going to change that.  But desperate people have hope -- they WANT these things to be true, to they buy the line of bullshit.  He's a con-man who sold a snake oil treatment to a critically ill patient who, in desperation, will try anything.  And that patient is drinking the snake oil INSTEAD of undergoing the therapy that MIGHT save them - don't stay put and wait for your 1955 job to come back.  Move to where the 2018 jobs are/learn how to do a 2018 job.

Preying on the desperation of those people, not giving a rat's ass about how they are only going to get MORE fucked as time goes by -- that's just fucking cruel.  And unforgivable.  He's an evil fucker.

The way I see it Barron is off limits, unless he does something incredibly stupid in public. Even then, people need to keep it light. He's a kid.

The rest of them? Game on.

Kush was getting the presidential daily briefing in year one without the required clearance. That means Ivanka was probably hearing some of those details too.

Yeah Barron is completely off limits.

Fuck the rest.

I do give Tiffany more of a pass than the other three though. She hasn’t been involved in any of the garbage except showing up as silent background support at debates and the convention and the like. She’s kept her head down and pretty much stayed out of the spotlight.

Before the holiday there was talk about 3 word chants like Lock Her Up.

Got me to thinking about 3 words to describe trump that are simple enough even his basest base would get the inference.

I came up with Liar, Traitor, Conman.

But I am pretty sure surly can improve on that.
