He should have quit and then gone on 60 minutes. I’m laying blame on anyone who helped support and contribute to the shitshow that is the White House. It is the moral responsibility of those in our government to speak up or leave if things are being done that violate our countries laws and values.

Serious question, and sorry if already discussed: what so-called university would embrace a lying, immoral grifter who hates science, cannot spell, and was demonstrably treasonous to the country?

Liberty University?   Are the self proclaimed followers of Christ’s teaching going to be the group who champions (hosts the “library”) of the man who acted antithetically to those teachings for every moment of his life?

If you don't think our "friends a couple hours to the east" wouldn't fellate anyone required to land that library you're fooling yourself.  GHWB and Trump?  Holy moly, it would be the Aggie wet dream!

So they should sit idly by and support the president who is committing war crimes, violating the emoluments clause, committing treason? You want to hold no one accountable for this accept Donald and his cronies. Tillerson is an enabler of trump. So is Kelly. The only one who can maybe claim not to be is Mattis. You want them to do nothing. I want them to show some moral fortitude and live up the oaths they took.

Tillerson had an opportunity to serve the country and American people as a top diplomat.  He can do more good in the world in that position as opposed to trying to subvert his boss, as you think he should have.

You want to throw someone under the bus, the people that elected a criminal traitor should at the top of the list, not Rex Tillerson.

Elections have consequences.

Tillerson's a piece of shit.  If he was so concerned with Trump's lack of discipline, not reading briefs, etc. the time for him to tell the world about it was at least a year ago.  Not after 20 months of normalization of trump's behavior and the GOPers in Congress obfuscating.

Well, to be fair to Tillerson, he did tell the world that Trump is a "fucking moron". Few listened.

What are you not getting? They all go under the bus. They all enable his behavior. They all contribute to him being able to continue doing what he does.

He is reacting to Tillersons interview with Bob Schieffer from CBS on Thursday night. I can't  link the tweet but he calls him undisplined and that he wouldn't read any briefs. It was pretty damning. He also mentioned that many times he had to explain that he can't do this a certain way because it would be illegal. Somebody google CBS this morning to see it if you haven't yet. That's what set Trump off.

Yep. I caught some of that this morning. I guess we can conclude that, when Trump proposes something that's illegal or in violation of treaty, Mike Pompeo doesn't raise the same objections.

Hugo.  Dude.  When you agree to drive your buddy to the local bank so he can rob it, you are an accomplice.

You try WAY too hard to bend over and be "both sides", but without the analytical skills of Anastasis.  Give it a rest.

So I guess Rod Rosenstein is a POS too and all the other Trump appointments that are working on the inside trying to make things better despite their boss?

For me, that’s what takes actual courage.

My favorite part about this will be all the Republican pundits - who supported and championed Rex Tillerson as SoS - will completely defend Trump.

I think the GOP should change it's name to the "God, I'm mendacious" Party.  GIMP.

I think leading an investigation into the President is a little different. You’re smart enough to understand the difference.

So, Corsi is getting indicted today and the organized crime specialist, Wiessman, is closing in on the Trump family?

Just remembered the Feds raided TRump's Chicago tax lawyer in the past week or so.  That is likely the root of the Wiessman rant.

He’s doing his job and not speaking out.

Tillerson did the same thing.

Mattis is doing it too.

Does anyone else find amusing the idea of discussing a Presidential library for a guy who doesn't read and actually destroys his own Presidential documents?

What a time to be alive.

Here's a picture of them delivering the presidential documents to the Donald J Trump presidential library on the campus of Texas A&M University...

I can every other President being told that they need to sign a document in order to make senior personnel changes official, and then they sign the documents even if reluctant.  I can see Trump walking out of the room without signing.    Or Trump tears the document in two and says that he's already told you and Twitter that Whitaker is the new AG.  Done!    Then the aides probably have to run to Kelly to see if he can get Trump to follow the law.

There is also the fact that Trump hasn't bothered to fill many positions that probably are tasked to oversee details like this.  According to Washpo of the 706 key positions requiring Senate confirmation:

  • 125 have no nominee named
  • 6 awaiting nominations
  • 195 nominated
  • 382 confirmed

https://www.washingtonpost.com/graphics/politics/trump-administration-appointee-tracker/database/?utm_term=.62267d11e0c8

All while having a GOP senate majority.  At this rate, he just might fill these roles by the 2020 elections.

Surprisingly the Dept of Energy (Rick Perry) is the only department with every senior position at least having someone nominated.  Good job Rick.  Always knew you could effectively run a department that you said should be closed.

Take them one at a time.  Rosenstein has been working for the government for almost 3 decades.  He is not Rex Tillerson.  You're trying too hard . . . and failing.

Okay, do McMaster then.

Explain to me why he’s a POS

You're going after the wrong guy -- I didn't say 100% of Trump's administration are shitbags.  I'm saying Rex Tillerson is a shitbag, and your defense of him is . . . indefensible.

Funny how the people that actually speak out get shit on by both sides when they speak out.

Comey, Tillerson, Flake, Brennan, Clapper.

Really makes you wonder why more people aren’t speaking out.

Not.
