Nothing to do with the 2022 class, but Bookie is headed to Washington. Glad to see him go to be honest.

Can't blame you there, it's addition by subtraction for sure. Who is looking most likely to take that spot? I'm assuming Criddell or Washington (or will he be playing CB)? Going to be interesting to see how the entire DB depth chart shakes out (specifically if Harrington can get and stay healthy and where that pushes guys around). I couldn't believe that Fields kept his spot all season, he was brutal.  I'm assuming that Lawrence is taking one of those jobs, right? Fields or DTY.

I think it’s Criddells to lose. I have seen videos and pictures of him hitting the gym in the off season and he looks huge. Washington will be a stud, just needs time.

Tenaha, Timpson, Bobo and Blair

Played against Timpson every year in HS in football and baseball.  Had a tree in RF for years before eventually moving the fence in front of it.  Had a version of the green monster in CF, and it was only about 270 down the LF line.

Drumm letting his board know that Bama is a threat for 5* RB Gavin Sawchuk, who OU boards have acted like is an OU lock

  Reveal hidden contents

--- Finally, a quick note on five-star RB Gavin Sawchuk. I did some checking around, and as I said, Bama is and has always been a player for the Centennial State's top player. Roll Tide offered the five-star RB last May, and even when I visited Sawchuk and his family in December, I was told that he wanted to try and get down to Tuscaloosa when he has a chance. That said, he always has been in constant contact with Oklahoma and Sooners RB coach Demarco Murray.

Also, sources that I spoke with over the weekend seemed to think that OU is still the leader, but I plan on talking with Sawchuk's father in the next few days. We exchanged texts on Friday, but the five-stars dad was in meetings and tied up.

As I have stated for months, I think OU, Stanford, Alabama, Arizona State, Oregon, Notre Dame, and few others are pressing hard for Sawchuk. Sooners DE/OLB coach, Jamar Cain, has a strong connection at Valor Christian, too. Cain and Valor Christian head coach, Donnie Yantis, were on Arizona State's staff together and are good friends. Between that and Demarco Murray/Lincoln Riley's relationship with Sawchuk and his family, the Sooners have positioned themselves into a very good spot.

Sawchuk visited the Sooners back in March, and that visit was one that has stuck with him and his family. Sawchuk's father, Kevin, called the visit "the best one yet" and also said, "OU just had that visit set up so perfectly before COVID shut everything down," the five-stars father said back in December to OUinsider when we visited them in Denver. "We had a coach, not a support staffer like most places, showing us around everywhere, and the visit was fun and informative. Always something going on and no downtime. We loved it and can't wait to get back again because that is the plan -- to visit OU again when we can."

I hope to have more on Sawchuk after I talk with his father soon. Still, I continue to hear great things about the Sooners and Sawchuk. Oklahoma wants two more RB's in this 2022 class, and Sawchuk is at or near the top of that list.

Hopefully this factors into Sawchuk's decision. Tide now have 3 5-star and 3 4-star RB since 2019.

Not sure if you guys have been following but Riley is once again being a bitch about a QB transfer. The funnier part is the Sooners intimating that TCU was tampering in the same off-season that the RockyTop-to-Dirt Burgler pipeline was built.  You'd think Riley would avoid this shit after looking like a petulant bitch with the Austin Kendall shit and that guy was a goddamn grad transfer. He had to try and walk that one back and he'll have to do the same here.

someone in the AD needs to be the guy to go to Riley and tell him to STFU and let the kid go.

This is one of those weird unforced errors that I can't even wrap my head around.

Morris is a fucking 3rd string QB, so this is all nonsense. Absolute nonsense. Everything you do publicly as a HC is recruiting (see Bowden and Mack) and right now Riley is behaving like a petulant child, while having personally greatly benefitted from transfers. Making a big deal about intraconference transfers only makes it look more petulant and petty, esp with a 3rd string fucking QB. The fact that he's the child of another college coach and to a program in TCU that is always looking for ammo to shit on you, makes it next-level incomprehensible.

The kid isn't going to start at TCU in 2021 so all Riley is doing is hurting his brand. There is no upside here and yet he's still here tilting at windmills. It's unreal.

In a move that will shock no one on this board - Stripling has moved to Rush because he can't hold the weight to be a DE. Going to be interesting to see that depth chart shake out and see where he slots, esp with the incoming DL class (Clayton Smith).

@quigley or @Pdawg88 any insight to the Rush 2-deep for 2021 or that DE spot?  I know Bonitto will start at Rush but do the Sooners expect Smith to overtake Wete, Stripling, and Walker and take that rotational role in the 2-deep? What will this mean for the DE slot?  I'm assuming that they must feel good about Grimes to move Stripling but who becomes the next man up behind him? Is that something that Downs may take or Gilliam?

I feel like I brought up a lot of FR but they also seem to be the most talented.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I have no clue who they will move in those spots. Ugwoegbu and Winfrey would be my guess. I have read and heard from a couple people I know in Norman that a bunch of the young guys look really good, Criddle and Eaton are the names I’ve heard a bunch. I’ve also heard they aren’t sure Eaton has the patients to wait his turn. Take that for what it’s worth.

This is all speculation because OU's really tight with public information, and I have no sources. Hopefully, OU's getting out of the business of equating weight with strength and larding players up to some arbitrary mass.

I don't know if Stripling has the quickness to beat OL off the edge like Bonitto, but it seems like his more natural position. If Stripliing isn't quick enough, he may end up being a Terry equivalent, steady but not a difference-maker. As you indicate, this may be an attempt to buy time until Smith is ready to take over.

I would like to see OU do a similar thing at DE and let Redmond lean up a bit with Grimes or one of the Fr as his backup. DT will have Thomas and Stokes and then a Frosh. Winfrey, Ellison, and Kelley are the rotation at NT. Depth at NT after this year could be an adventure.

I think Bonitto / Thomas / Winfrey / Redmond would give OU an outstanding first unit. They have competent but unspectacular or unproven depth behind them. With good injury luck (which is partially a reflection of depth), the Sooners can win a playoff game with this DL.

Mostly, no Bookie (who'll probably end up an agent or coach and be great at it).

With his massive dong I’d say he’s better suited for porn.
