Roger Stone getting convicted again on conspiracy and bribery was not the turn of events I expected here. But it's a pleasant plot twist.

We had an actual winter storm and single-digit temps in Austin this year, so nothing is off the table for 2021.

if you had "Two retarded thumbs travel the American countryside by bus" on your 2021 bingo card...you are already the winner this year and can collect your prizes.

Gaetz retweeted this, LOL

I don't think they are spying on me but then I don't do anything worth spying on. However,  if they are spying on me, they're seeing about 25,000 Texas history photos, some recipes from my sister, and photos of my dad's garden. I sure hope they are enjoying them! Hey, FBI, I got more where that came from!

Seriously, you would think these guys would learn about ProtonMail, proxy servers, the Tor browser, Duck Duck Go etc...

Prediction, tour ends after three stops due to overwhelming stench of MTG creatine farts.

i’ve been hustling my old lady outta the sheets with a combo of creatine, whey isolate and L-carnitine farts...plus an ongoing gut cleanse.

it’s awesome how much she hates my literal guts...

$250k for a pardon seems light

Quote

A confession letter written by Joel Greenberg in the final months of the Trump presidency claims that he and close associate Rep. Matt Gaetz paid for sex with multiple women—as well as a girl who was 17 at the time.

“On more than one occasion, this individual was involved in sexual activities with several of the other girls, the congressman from Florida’s 1st Congressional District and myself,” Greenberg wrote in reference to the 17-year-old.

“From time to time, gas money or gifts, rent or partial tuition payments were made to several of these girls, including the individual who was not yet 18. I did see the acts occur firsthand and Venmo transactions, Cash App or other payments were made to these girls on behalf of the Congressman.”

The letter, which The Daily Beast recently obtained, was written after Greenberg—who was under federal indictment—asked Roger Stone to help him secure a pardon from then-President Donald Trump.….

So does this just become a he said, she said case and nothing ultimately happens to Gaetz?

A year ago, probably.

But now his friends are out of power. It's a Federal crime and there's absolutely zero reason not to nail him to a cross.

Seems like there's a ton of bad actors that haven't been convicted yet: insurrectionists from all over the US, douchebag at Cyber Ninja (I'm ahead of the curve but I know he's going down for something), Trump himself, Stone, MGT, Boobert, Cawthorn, Cruz, Hawley, Ghislane, all of 'em.

Justice Dept will have to advertise on Monster.com to find enough investigators.  Errbody getting out of prison in year 24 of a lifetime sentence for 1/8th oz of weed can rest easy that bed will be filled soon.

it will be . . . Kafkaesque

What does the Post Office have to do with raping 17 year olds?

You see, all certified rape is registered.  But all registered rape is not necessarily certified.  /NewmanGaetz

Politically connected white dude from a rich family?  Man it’s going to take a lot of deep thought to answer your question. I hope someone can help you out with it.

I mean, probably because he hasn't been arrested for anything yet. Feels like a pretty basic starting point. See: Trump, Donald J.

Because everyone wants their own cops.  In the case of the Postal Service, it's the Postal Inspection Service which has been involved in law enforcement for decades.  As far as it being "covert," it is described in 2019 Annual Report, which is public, so I don't really think Matt and his band of merry morons have really uncovered anything.  From the annual report:

Quote

iCOP The Internet Covert Operations Program (iCOP) is one of seven functional groups within the Inspection Service Cybercrime program. The iCOP program protects the Postal Service and the public by facilitating the identification, disruption, and dismantling of individuals and organizations that use the mail or USPS online tools to facilitate black market Internet trade or other illegal activities. Analysts in iCOP utilize USPS systems and tools to provide open source intelligence and cryptocurrency blockchain analysis in support of all Inspection Service investigations. In Fiscal Year 2019, the iCOP team produced a total of 209 Intelligence Reports to the field in support of investigations involving narcotics, mail theft, revenue fraud, homicide, dangerous mail, and more. In all, analysts identified nine (9) previously unknown individuals, and their reports resulted in the arrest of 10 individuals. The iCOP team also completed 74 cryptocurrency analysis products resulting in the seizure of over $300,000 in cryptocurrency.

Is it likely they've overstepped their charter? Sure. Is there opportunity to consolidate with other law enforcement agencies to reduce overlap and confusion?  Almost certainly.  Are the Lizard People using it to pick out victims from Nana's 93rd birthday celebration?  I'll never tell.

To be fair, this isn't the first I have heard of the Postal Inspection Service overreach issue.  I don't think Gaetz has uncovered anything; others have also been sounding alarms on this.  My point was that despite me apparently agreeing with him on this issue, he's still a complete douchebag.
