This is an almost certainty.  If he doesn't, he's missing a massive opportunity.

Nunes' mom lost the paperwork.

His real calling is televangelist.  He's about to find God and get granted the power to take the money from all the poor Florida saps.  It's coming--he's going to begin holding a bible in all of his public appearances.

Trump, Gaetz, and the rest of the Florida Republican grifters--looking at you DeSantis, just panhandle Floridians for money.  I'm surprised Nunes hasn't set up a dairy there.

It's weird, though. In the old days, it was difficult to trace and track grifters and fly-by-night operatives because of the delay with information sources. Newspapers, mail, it just couldn't keep up with the trains if you know what I mean.

But now, you've got these GOP pols moving from state to state, district to district and the dirt is out there and people don't seem to care.

How is it that they don't seem to 'see' this for what it is? Ignorance or deliberate ignorance doesn't matter. It's a Barnum and Bailey world, just as phony as it can be.....

I also didn't realize he's not married. So a 30 year old single guy just adopts a 12 year old randomly? Not weird at all.

yeah, i googled this... really weird. I am surprised their hasn't been more scrutiny.

a lot of alarm bells going off there.

he used to date nestor's (older; yes I felt i needed to type that out) sister and then I think the boy kept living with him even after they broke up.  i don't think there was ever any formal adoption.

Honestly, if that is the case, it could legitimately be instance of Gaetz doing a good thing. I mean, given the rest of his history, I have my doubts. I don't know much about the details though.

seems like it.  here's a blurb from a googled article.  there are a lot out there trying to describe the situation.

Quote

Gaetz claims that Nestor lost his mother to breast cancer at just 12 years old after which he arrived in the US to live with his older sister who Gaetz was dating.

During the politician's Hot Take podcast, he described how Nestor is the brother of an ex-girlfriend and that "I sort of feel like a single step-parent at times,” though it is unclear what ex he is referring to.

According to Gaetz, Nestor lived with him for four years after coming from Cuba and then moved to Miami for his junior year and lived with his biological father.

Just a weird deal if the boy's bio dad was in Miami the whole time.

Joel Greenberg is going to end up on the Mt Rushmore of elected county officials who abuse their office.  I don't know if I remember someone having that many criminal enterprises going on at the same time at the county level.

It's sad because it's true.  We are the poster child for 1-party unchecked corruption.

One day I got on the usual bus, and when I stepped in, I saw the most gorgeous blond Chinese girl... I sat beside her. I said, "Hi," and she said, "Hi," and then I said, "Nice day, isn't it?," and she said, "I saw my analyst today and he says I have a problem." So I asked, "What's the problem?" She replied, "I can't tell you. I don't even know you..." I said, "Well sometimes it's good to tell your problems to a perfect stranger on a bus." So she said, "Well, my analyst said I'm a nymphomaniac and I only like Jewish cowboys... by the way, my name is Denise." I said, "Hello, Denise. My name is Bucky Goldstein..."

Can Gaetz carry out his Presidential duties from jail?  I don’t see why not after what we went through w Trump.  The more I read, the more convinced I am that he will be the R nominee.  Checks all the right boxes...

I see the Q crowd is relatively quiet about their condemnation of the alleged pedophiles presented here. Guess Greenberg and Gaetz didn't use a pizza restaurant in their pedophile ring?

Fuck me that is crazy, brazen shit.

17YO:  "But Mattie, I wanna come see you!"

Gaetz:  "I can't risk it right now.  You know my girlfriend looks at all my credit card receipts."

17YO:  "Please, I want you to be my first.  And I want it to be in Washington!"

Gaetz:  "Okay, that's tempting.  I can probably get you a Spirit Airlines flight next week."

17YO:  "Matt, I made junior varsity gymnastics.  And besides, I saw you raised a record amount for your campaign last month."

Gaetz: "Fine, fine.  Jet Blue it is."

Don't you think the Family forgot to take a buncha signed blanks with them to Florida? Price for Matty G's just went way way up. Either that, or they make a really bad copy per Trump family usual and Matt can't figure out why it doesn't pass....

Scary to think just who else in Congress is owned by the secrets kept and with a balance due to an unknown holder.

I think a lot of it is information overload coming from dark money keeping too much dumb shit flowing.

Take Texas right now, instead of worrying about the power grid, or expanding medicaid (which is a monetary win for all) sensible gun control, and education and infrastructure, we are worried about a) non existent voter fraud and b) immigration.

The fallout from 20+ years of republican governance is coming home to roost, and they trot out the same old trope that Trump did...and everybody gets up in arms.  The media is all over these two topics, and the rest is floating away and won't be addressed meaningfully this session.

So yeah, when the media and all are busy chasing down these "big" stories that Cruz and Abbott, et al, keep tossing out, it's pretty easy for these lowlife grifters to get by with their plays, because no one is paying attention.   It's not that they don't care, but they are all worried too much about fixing the horrible things the 'ebil libs' have screwed up, too busy keeping communism at bay to deal with little petty things like county officials running  multiple scams and sex trafficking out of their offices.
