Uhh, tacking "The man, Larry Hetu, admitted in court he stalked, photographed a 12 year old boy for Matt Gaetz in September/October 2022." onto the "photos of Gaetz making out with young men" tweet is pretty sketchy.  Then again, we're dealing with Matt Gaetz and the MAGA contingent so ...

Wait. This lady claims that Matt Gaetz stalked her kid and her evidence is a court order dismissing her stalking claim because it was not supported by the evidence? And the same lady is the source for the Gaetz affair rumors?

Am I getting that right? Because, if so, this seems like a bunch of bullshit.

i think you have that all right except it wasn't matt gaetz she claimed stalked her kid.  it was man named laurent hetu that she alleges was hired by gaetz to do so.  but yes, the case was dismissed for a lack of evidence.

so that does not bode well for this little momentary outrage.

gaetz is clearly a piece of shit but rebekah jones is not being forthcoming in the verifiable stuff so it is casts a serious skepticism over anything she offers.

My reading of the case dismissal informs me that 1) Hetu was hired (by someone) to take photos at Jones campaign event and 2) at least one photo where her child was visible was used in online commentary (blurring out children's faces like they do in Europe isn't a thing here).

The fact that the suit was dismissed doesn't change this.  Given the video I posted at #2852 I'd say she has some reason for concern.

Jones became known when she refused to manipulate Covid data to suit Ron DeSantis.  She took some of that data (hence the raid on her house).

Being disobedient in a crisis takes courage.  It would seem she has a better concept of protecting Floridians than others.

From the John Lewis school of good trouble.  As opposed to the Matt Gaetz let’s go to grade school and find a date scheme…

Let’s just sit around and ask questions about whether Gaetz just likes young preteen girls or if he also has a hankering for some horseplay with the boys.

My sense was that Gaetz may very well have hired a child predator to take pics of Jones and her family (including her kid), but that the court decided that this kind of one-off activity by the guy didn't constitute stalking (which requires a whole course of conduct).  Is it shitty to hire this sort of character?  Sure.  Was it likely to put Jones' kid at serious risk?  Probably not.

As I mentioned, the way the situation was presented is sketchy and tends to undermine her credibility.  That said, Gaetz will never get any sympathy from me.

You don't think hiring a child predator to stalk and take photos of a...  *checks notes*...  child...  puts the...  ya know...  child...  at risk...?

This is why I don't have kids.  Because I would've dumped both of those pieces of shit in the Gulf of Mexico for the crabs to pick apart.

never thought I'd see someone being blase about hiring a potential child predator to follow around and photograph someone else's kid without their consent, but ok

If you read the Court Order, it states that "the photograph at issue in this case was taken in a public location, at a political candidate's campaign table ..."   She made it sound like this guy was following him all over town; my sense was that it was more likely that this guy went to some campaign event and was probably taking photos of Jones + her family + her staff in the hopes of getting some sort of embarrassing pic that they could use in their shitty propaganda ads.  Shitty for certain. That said, I'm skeptical that the kid was really at risk.

ah well...nevertheless.jpg is my prediction

now if the child abduction was supported by something like 'suspicious' Wayfair furniture descriptions, then send up the bat-signal.  But if the lady could not even convince a journalist/media of anything and only tweeted some crazy out ... not buying it (for the record, MG is a piece of shit)

He won’t resign even if true. We’ve crossed the Rubicon. There is no shame.

Matt Gaetz is living proof of the Theory of Evolution…

if the theory was as Mrs. Harrison put it: five monkeys having butt sex with a fish-squirrel.

Yep. I don’t see how this is any worse than the video of Ted Cruz’s kid recoiling in abject disgust at his presence.

Or the one of Ted Cruz’s father recoiling in abject disgust at Ted’s presence.

Or the one of Ted Cruz’s wife recoiling in abject disgust at Ted’s presence.

Or the one of the porn model on Ted Cruz's computer monitor recoiling in abject disgust at Ted's presence

Gaetz is an insufferable punk ass kid:

WASHINGTON (TND) — Rep. Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., introduced the PENCIL Act on Thursday to prohibit Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., from viewing classified information, the same day the California Democrat announced his bid for U.S. Senate.

The Daily Caller first reported the new bill, which taunts Schiff with a title that goes after former President Donald Trump's nickname for the congressman, "pencil neck."

"PENCIL" stands for "Preventing Extreme Negligence with Classified Information Licenses," according to The Daily Caller, which is the same title used for an earlier version of the bill that Gaetz introduced back in 2019.

Gaetz's latest version of the bill comes after House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy removed Schiff from his seat on the powerful House Intelligence Committee.

This is what passes for trolling and comedy on the right.

Just like Hawley's PELOSI Act to ban stock trading among lawmakers.  As if Tommy Tuberville suddenly doesn't exist.

They put me of a mind to treat justice and the law the way they do. The difference being that I'd abuse the law and system to crush pricks like this guy who are clearly guilty of bad shit.

But, Roma, that makes you judge and jury.

Better me than them.

That a pustule like Gaetz introduces puerile legislation to get yocks ridiculing a man, actual man, who has proven his worth... (shaking head and looking down) man!

Fuck, I didn't know Schiff had been removed from his committee, either.

This is not a serious country.

The House cannot be a B-side version of Vaudeville and expect to be sustained as anything but a show. A pathetic one for applauding idiots who paid to sit in the sinking ship.

This isn't a way to maintain power for very long, nor does it strengthen the US in any way or keep it safe.  Let's vote for the dumbest motherfuckers so that they can boot the intelligent ones off of the committees that ensure Democracy and its defense, and fill their seats with even dumber, ethically challenged trolls.  Hah, that'll show everybody.  And only good things will sprout from this cavern we're digging beneath the floor of Congress.

This is our concern, Dude.

There’s like 30 thread here about different GQP senators/Reps/candidates and you could’ve posted this in any of them. Nailed it.
