Indians record against everyone that isn’t the Royals, Tigers, or pirates: 18-16. DOMINATION

so the Indians were two games over .500 in a schedule that was packed with series against the Twins, White Sox, and all 4 NL Central playoff teams, while the Yankees were 6 games under .500 against everyone else (11-17 against teams over .500), and your takeaway is that these two are similar? well, that is on brand for you, i'll say that.

That’s hilarious. You know as much about baseball as Rick Barnes knows about coaching a championship basketball team. I don’t know what player made you hop on the Indians bandwagon but you’re sorely mistaken if you think they’re a threat in the playoffs. Have you decided what bandwagon you will jump on after the Indians get eliminated?

Normally a 5-game MLB playoff series is ridiculous, 3-games would be a travesty.  But we've only played 37% of a season, so this year is just a tournament.  I'm good with that and it'll be popular as a one off.

But why not turn the final week and a half of spring training into a tourney?  Crown separate Cactus and Grapefruit champs.  To discourage virtual opt outing award the winner and runner up of each the option of an extra 1st round draft pick or picking your first round opponent if you make the playoffs.

Do a lottery drawing for seeding, with the 1st pick of each getting a first round bye (15 teams in each league.)  Best of 3 first round, so we get at least 2 days of 14 games with hourly and half hourly staggered starts.  Then a CWS style double elimination and best of 3 champ series for each league.

Can still do split squad games to get work in for players that need it, eliminated teams return to ad hoc training games and their pre-opening day home exhibitions.  Let the tourney championship series replace the early opening day game, so that every team opens their regular season on a true Opening Day Monday.

Yeah, it's taking on March Madness, but almost every household now has multiple TV's or ipads or watch on their phone.  Ought to be able to get decent money from a non-CBS channels, and not everyone is into basketball.  First round with 14 games both Sat and Sun when there's only two Elite 8 games each day, Monday is game 3's.  Double elim round Tue-Fri.  The if-needed games as double-headers Fri nite, maybe shortened to 5 or 6 innings (so you can still have a guaranteed prime time game (TV money), say starting 3pm and 6pm central start times.)  Could get most of the 2 champ series Sat games in before the final four tips, Sun afternoon game 2's followed by shortened if-needed game 3's.  Those teams can have their Monday opener shifted to night games if travel is a concern.

Give MLB a Daytona 500.  Make every playoff series 7-games.  And Opening Day is truly opening day for every team.

I'd rate my baseball knowledge as an 80 on the 20-80 scale.

App has always been like that for the playoffs.

Yeah, it sucks to pay for the whole year, and then for the playoffs, its entirely useless and you have to find specific apps for the random channels playoff games happen to be on, and you need a cable subscription for pretty much all of them.  MLB shits on some of their best fans who are willing to pay to watch games by giving up exclusive broadcast rights to cable channels.  What does TBS even lose by allowing the MLB app to stream its live feed?  They could still run TBS ads

The MLB app is great during the regular season being able to flip between games, but even there the ESPN games tell you to fuck off and go to the ESPN app.

Took your CR-adjacent bullshit elsewhere. Weak joke as well, 3/10.

You didn’t like that? Ok, how about this one.
Q: What do you have in common with the New York Yankees?
A: In October you’ll both be watching the World Series on television.

I thought you were going to say that we both ran a train on your mom. But yeah we’ll have to see if your joke is accurate.
