3 spot in the 1st has to be mentally devastating in a 7 inning game.

So let’s avoid the first inning we had in game 2 tuesday

thankfully I trust Greinke a bit more then Bielak

Correa played in 109, 110 and 75 games during his age 22, 23 and 24 seasons. So he has participated in 294/486 regular season games (60%).

He has HOF talent, to be sure, but I'd be hesitant to go all-in/long-term on a guy that missed 2 out of every 5 games (over a 3-year stretch) in his early 20s.

Either way, both guys have always seemed intent on getting to free agency rather than signing an extension. All that is subject to change, of course.

But who knows what the market will be - Correa will be a FA at the same time as Lindor and Seager and Story, I think (?). So the SS market may be a little saturated, and Lindor figures to be the prize (Seager has had trouble staying healthy too). Maybe That makes CC a little more affordable. Difficult to gauge what MLB spending (or anything else in the world) will look like in the winter of 2021.

Yep- and that’s what I was saying was Correa’s only issue is injury. Now- that’s sort of like saying other than that Mrs Lincoln how was the play.

you sign correa asap. any player can get injured, just hope he stays healthy

if we re-sign springer, shrewd move not doing it before the season. he's losing money imo but it'll be a very weak ufa class

Maybe they are talking about this on tv but Ford talking about last time Astros catcher caught both ends of a DH

Eusebio.1995

And he caught more innings in game 1 than Machete would do in both today.

17 innings.

caught the first 8 in game 2 before being replaced by Jared Goff’s dad

Padres catcher also caught both ends of the DH. But he had to because Brad Ausmus was the other catcher and had recently punched a water cooler that resulted in needing 6 stitches.

Any more information on this? We need to keep him healthy.

Nice play by Correa.  I don't remember ever seeing a SS play the ball directly off the wall like that.  It happens a lot when it kicks off that jut-out down the line but not off the actual wall in fair territory.
