Surly Megathread of destruction and doom. [BEWARE VERY DOOMY]

Yep. Andy Ngo is a steaming pile of shit.

Even better, from what is public about the incident, the “patriot” started a physical confrontation by attacking with pepper spray. I have no idea if deadly force was a justified response under Colorado law...but the myth of the peaceful patriot simply minding his own business, just loving America....is a lie.

The idea that just about anybody there is minding their business is a lie.

Actually, and I could have the timeline wrong, he started it with slapping the shooter when the shooter gestured for him to back off/back away.  No video of that, just photos, but the video that's out there, you can hear the mace spray and then the shot and the guy dropping instantly, and by then they were not within arm's distance of each other.   Everybody was focused on the guy that was screaming at people to start shit.

The guy on the left is the one who got shot, you can see the mace in his hand.

People dying over a bitchslap. I understand it’s embarrassing to get punked like that, but shooter is a pussy imo.

From photos and brief video, after the slap they had backed away (or one of them had).  The mace is what sealed the deal.  You can hear it and then the shot.

What makes her a Maoist? Did she express support of socialism, or a peasant laden revolution? Or is she just wearing a skirt with a picture on it?

Why the fuck would anyone wear a picture of mass murders.   Disgusting.

my wife’s grandfather was literarily murdered under the orders of someone on her skirt.

Here’s her explanation. I may not agree with her fashion choice but I support her right to wear it. Maybe everyone can look into her policies and platforms before sharing gotcha posts and accusing someone of supporting Maoism, especially when the person accusing such probably doesn’t even know what Maoism means

She absolutely can wear what she wants.

But if you believe this is pop art and satire, you probably also believe last week was a great week of practice.

I mean, she has every right to wear one. I believe in freedom of speech, unlike the individuals on her shirt.

doesn’t mean wearing it isn’t in bad taste.

Of course you'd say that when the bad actors are on your side.

Has ANTIFAAAAAAAAAAAH plotted to kidnap any government officials and put them on trial for "treason?"

Didn't a group try to enter the residence of the mayor of (Portland?) and take over the apartment lobby?

Guy on the right (shooter) was working as an armed security guard for a local news crew at the time of the shooting. What a clusterfuck.

Seriously, what happens to those little cars?  It’s not like they can trade them in or sell them to real body shops for parts.  I always wanted one since my first Shriner’s parade in Chicago in the 70/80s.   There has to be some massive field somewhere in the Deep South with tens of thousands of little cars in various stages of decay.  I want to see it.  I want to learn.

How does wearing clothes in bad taste equal "just that a major US city is about to headed by a Maoist"?

Umm. You responding to the right poster?  Where the hell did I say that?  I know nothing about her politics and don’t really plan to since it is a local issue.

All I am commenting on is how wearing pictures of mass murders is something  that should be frowned upon.

Again, will you say that if Trump wears a Pinochet, Hitler, and Mussolini shirt? Or will you say "Fascists!"?

Trump is a fascist because of his fascist actions including but not limited to, calling upon law enforcement to arrest his political opponents, accusing his political opponents of treason without evidence, asking a foreign leader to investigate his political rival in exchange for aid, spreading lies about voter fraud, asking citizen to liberate their states, supporting domestic terrorist groups, pardoning political allies that were in prison, witness intimidation, ignoring public health measures, detaining citizens without cause by federal police squads, encouraging citizens to commit voter fraud, and many more.

If Trump wears a Hitler t-shirt, I will support his right to do so. I will say man, that fascist is really on point with the Hitler t-shirt.

If the Portland mayor starts promoting capturing state power through armed insurgency, mass mobilization of the peasantry and disinformation, I will be like damn that Maoist needs to be stopped. So far I have yet to see any of these proclamations or calls for such.

The point is they are wearing the shirt to make you frown.

its an attack on your sensibilities. Personally, I find it disgusting when people wear our flag as clothing, but shit it’s Polos trademark.

I always thought a good t-shirt money making idea would be the traditional Guevara profile pic of him in beret with the grimacing look, the one we all know.  And on the bottom, would be simply CHE'     been done a million times.  But on the top of his head would be the same font "CLI-"   because his entire story and marketing campaign has been nothing but a half-century Cliche'            Or maybe there's a clit joke in there somewhere, I dunno.

Fashionista talk not going away. I am just going to keep rocking my Charlie Manson shirt and say fuck it.

And if people want to assume that my "FIRE TOM HERMAN" shirt means I want him set on fire, well I'm not going to dispute their assumptions.  I'm also not going to congratulate them on guessing correctly.

I like it but I think it needs to be a slightly more middle-age and chunkier 'Karen.'  And while I love a good Lobo-Luna shirt...I think the Moon could be like a Circular Icon on a website that says, "Click Here to Speak with a Manager" or something like that.  Her blowjob mouth/hairdo, tank-top apparel, and celestial moons just sends mixed messages.  But I like where you're brain's at.

Congrats Galveston taxpayers, you get to pay a bunch of money to a black guy your cops fucked over.

https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/12/us/galveston-horseback-arrest-lawsuit-trnd/index.html

Quote

A Black man is suing Galveston, Texas, and its police department for more than $1 million after a 2019 incident in which he was handcuffed and tied to officers on horseback as they led him down a street.

Donald Neely, 44, was arrested and charged with criminal trespass near a US Post Office in August of last year. Court records show the case against him was dismissed in March.

Quote

His arrest received national attention after photos showed two mounted officers from the Galveston Police Department leading Neely through the city by what appeared to be a rope. Police said at the time that the officer was holding a "line" clipped to Neely's handcuffs, not a rope -- though it's unclear what the difference is.

Quote

"(Officers) knew or should have believed that Neely -- being a black man -- being led with a rope and by mounted officers down a city street as though he was a slave, would find this contact offensive," the lawsuit reads.

The lawsuit states that Neeley was humiliated as he was led down the street.

Quote

The Galveston Police Department previously apologized for its treatment of Neely, with its police chief saying last year that the officers showed "poor judgment" and "could have waited for a transport unit at the location of the arrest."

The department said in the weeks following the incident that it had changed its policy to stop the technique of using mounted horses to transport a person during an arrest.
