Looking like Europa is our ceiling after the Chelsea win against City. Well, we had our chances and couldn't convert.

i'm almost in the home stretch of a full season proudly telling paycock to fuck off for what i've already paid for.

when this one is over if someone has a 10-minute highlights package on youtube please post.

It's 20 cents a day. In 2 seasons, you're going to be paying a lot more when Amazon or someone else has the full rights to the EPL. $6 a month to not have to worry about what streaming site you're going to steal it from.

Do we get extra points for not making a substitution?

There's a weird stubbornness to Klopp this season. Tactics are an issue. I still don't quite understand just what he's doing with Thiago out there.

Thiago playing 90 minutes? Dumb.

No, not really.

I'm glad he uncorked it rather than looking to pass out. That's what we need.

If we win out we certainly aren’t out of it. Leceister closes the season with United, Chelsea, and Spurs plus they have the cup against Chelsea in the middle. Chelsea closes with Arsenal, Leceister, Villa.

Good luck Gini. He's been as solid a player as LFC has ever had. Hate to see him go but I have faith that our midfield of Ox, Naby, and Shaq will be solid!

You're getting more Milner and you'll like it!

A friend just texted me that because of the all-PL Champions League final, and with City and Chelsea (likely) finishing in the top four, the fifth-placed team in the PL would qualify. I feel like that scenario has come up in the last decade or so but I can't put my finger on the particulars, or if that's even the case.

Anyone know for sure?

I think it would happen if a team outside the top five wins it. Could be wrong, but also not sure it would help us.  Glad to be wrong.

Also, screw Ole and manu.

It used to be that a 5th or higher squad would knock the 4th place squad out of the following season’s Champions League and the 3rd place team would have to play their way into the group stage.

Arsenal (3rd) laughed at Tottenham (4th) as they slid over to the play-in spot when Chelsea (?...6th maybe) won last time. Something like that.

They changed the rule a year or two later that would have allowed the 4th place team to stay in the play-in spot.

There have been a change or two since that I haven’t followed closely, plus the Super League fiasco just happened, so if all of the EPL clubs cower to UEFA, there might be another alteration this summer.

So I would say that I don’t believe that the 5th place squad would make it if the champion is in the Top 4, but that could change by mid-July.
