Tottenham 2020-21: To Dare Is To Park

It really comes down to this - Spurs really shouldn't drop points against the bottom of the table. That is why the Palace draw was such a bitter pill. Leicester and Liverpool were explainable. Palace? They have given up 10 goals in 2 games, one of which they played up a man for half the game. AWFUL. Add 2 points and Spurs are in a comfortable 4th.

So yeah, tomorrow - just win.

Ndombele might as well be sold.  He's only effective when he has possession of the ball, he can't get the ball and immediately make a pass to press the attack, he's never fit, and he's often disgruntled.  Time to move on.

Lo Celso might need to move on as well.  He's often hurt, and most of his success at the club has come in the Europa league against inferior competition.

Spurs really need to find an attacking mid-fielder and a creative play-making mid-fielder in the mold of Eriksen.

I don't know.  Is Ndombele out there now?  Again, he didn't finish the match, and aside from the goal in the opening minutes where he was in the right place at the right time off a set piece and a good pass from Davies, did he create anything of substance today?  He had the one counter where he passed to Reguilon and probably should have sent it to Kane, but not much outside of that.  Granted, part of that is Jose's tactics.

How about the rest of that post?  Was Gio named in the squad today?  No.  He was.......injured!  I know, I'm shocked too.

Title talk can stop today after dropping those points.

Agree that Jose is the biggest culprit here.  His style of play is boring as fuck. After that first goal, you just knew it was going to be 88 minutes of sitting back and defending, waiting on a counter attack.

I can understand those tactics, to some extent, against better teams, but not against Palace and Wolverhampton.  With City and United both having a match in hand on Spurs, it's going to be a dogfight for Champions League qualification.  Europa might be an easier path, a la United in Jose's 2016-17 season.

Transfer rumours I've seen on all the twitters.  Don't shoot the messenger.

Eriksen prefers a return to Spurs.  I think I saw $30mil.  I've also previously read that Levy is still pissed about how his departure unfolded.  Hard to imagine him not going with Pouch

Ramos to Spurs.  NBC put it out in a tweet today.

Spurs looking at Weston Mckinnie.  Oh please oh please.   Spurs sure could use an American for ratings.

I’ve seen the Ramos rumors. Even at 34, he’s an interesting pick up.

Hadn’t seen the Eriksen one. I’d heard €12-17M to Arsenal, PSG, or United. Can’t see him going anywhere for $30M. I’d love to have him back. Don’t know that he’s be a good fit in Jose’s system, but his creativity and set pieces are desperately needed right now.

Would love Mckinnie. That’s probably asking too much.

Also read where Spurs are most likely not going to spend in January. I can see that after the summer spending.

Bale injured in training again as well.

I'm starting to wonder if this is a bit by Jose and Levy.  RM wanted Bale to get lots of playing time and succeed to help his transfer stock.  By tanking him Spurs might be able to get him cheap.   I'm mostly kidding.

I hope they don't get him cheap. He's not worth it. Dude is 31 and his best days are long behind him. Spurs would do much better to get younger.
