Sticking with Werner and no Puli to start. Not what I expected but not sure it's the wrong play.

And it just got really wet. I'd be shocked if 2 doesn't win it today considering both team's form.

Eww bad defense on the set piece.

You're a bit ahead of me. Looks like Dave mistimed his jump - we didn't fail to mark him.

Glad we got that goal with Silva out now.

Up to 6th in the table with only Man City having 1 game in hand.

Everton is level with us with 2 in hand so more like 7th.

But today was big and 3 points is 3 points. We still seem pretty iffy when it comes to finishing and creating good chances but our possession and defense has been dare I say phenomenal with Tuchel at the helm. Sometimes you just need 1 and that 1 might be a PK.

Well, we're level with Everton and they've got 2 in hand.  And Tottenham and Villa are behind us and fading but they've got 1 and 2 in hand respectively.

But today was a big deal for us, no question.

You guys wouldn't make good beat writers

Idk I think we have a nice good cop/bad cop thing going.

Everton is also about to see Manu, City, Pool and Chelsea over the next 6 so they could easily fall back.

Another yuge one today. They all will be down the stretch. Win puts us into 5th and 1 point back of Pool for top 4 - who we see for our 2nd leg on March 20th.

Sheffield isn't great but has had some nice recent form - beating ManU and West Brom and playing City tight 0-1.

Interesting lineup. Pulisic not in the 18 - not sure what that's about.

No Ziyech or Kante either. Skrange.

What the fuck Rudiger? Are you fucking shitting me?

And we get a pen to instantly retake the lead LOL. Werner is under new management!

Good 3. O settled in after the first 30 - Werner was very good past that point. Mount was awesome. D was a little shakier than it has been under Tuchel but still kept them out of the back of the net. Thank God that Rudiger gaffe didn't cost us.

Especially after Liverpool gets handed an ass-beating and the win is to put us firmly back in the top 4 race.

I'm feeling much better about the Atletico matchup now, too. The style Tuchel has put on the pitch so far could carry us through in the CL - especially if Werner can keep it up or be a little better even.
