I love how once he broke out of the scrum, he basically cruised. He wasnt even running his fastest. Amazing

OTF guys were saying it was Gibson not knowing the offense more than the fumbles that was keeping him off the field.

Same with Niblack… or so ive heard

One thing I appreciate about our RBs is that they have never dropped the ball before reaching the goal line, or at least I don’t remember it happening.

Blue had a close call where he fumbled as he was crossing the plane against Kentucky, but it was ruled a TD

I’m convinced we don’t need another RB next year. We have studs. Sign Blue for one more year.

We have guys that can't break a tackle

Not familiar with new RBs added to roster for 2025, but would like for Sark to add at least one bigger stronger power running RB to the roster to improve our red zone offense.

Any new info about our RB room for 2025 ??

James Simon is definitely someone to keep an eye on. His dad, John Simon, had a cup of coffee in the NFL and has coached for the last 10 years or so. OTF did an interview with him, super impressive guy.

Gerry Hamilton likes James Simon a lot. I believe he said that Simon is a little over 200 lbs now and his dad thinks he can eventually get to 215+.

No as in you dont want him or no as in it isnt happening?

You want to replace our young, energetic volume recruiting wizard with an old guy who never recruited much even at his peak?

I've been making peace with the loss this afternoon.

Sark is going to hire a low-level staffer from the NFL or an OC from an FCS school in the southeast and we'll all complain and ask "who the fuck is this guy" and then he'll turn out to be awesome.

Whoever we get won't be as good as Choice but he'll still be good. We just gotta suffer through the uncertainty and all the sturm und drang threads that will eventually overrun the board.

At this point, I just hope can keep my pants pissing to myself and not be part of the problem.

Got dammit Choice!   Why would you want to go live in that dump of a city!

Money and the prestige of the NFL.

Probably has higher aspirations in coaching.

Why would we want a Sooner retread? No thanks

Because he was very good and obviously good at his present job.

DKR was a Sooner retread, that turned out ok.

Lol what the shit? He has not been very good at his current job, and most OU fans were excited about him leaving. Dude's an asshole, and a mediocre recruiter and coach.

Why did Penn State offer him?

Money?   He just a got a raise to over $800k here.   Average NFL salary is $400-600K.    Maybe I'm not listening to the right folks but the college RB coaches get mentioned more than any NFL coaches because of recruiting....especially at a school like Texas

Must be higher aspirations even though you could argue he might be a better college head coach with his recruiting chops

So, does DeMarco Murray get a call?

Seems he turned down the Penn State offer.

For what, an analyst position sure, RB coach, GTFO

Yeah, the NFL is a much easier lifestyle without recruiting, but it pays less.

For you that think he couldn't recruit and not a good coach.

In the last two years he was wanted by first Ohio State last year and now Penn State this year.

OU gave him a raise to keep him from going to Ohio State and winning a national championship.

That's not too shabby for a so-called bad coach.
