Judge is taking dismissal under advisement (will rule later).

I doubt they resume today.

They are still arguing the points for now.

DA needs to have his head on a swivel.

Every time the DA opens his mouth I'm just waiting for the next judge throwdown

It's over if he 'messes up' again.  It's like sudden death overtime now.

Defense asked for mistrial w prejudice. Judge is taking it under advisement. Just started questioning again. Judge thinks DA is a POS.

Sadly, this is way more interesting than anything I've watched on Saturday afternoons.

I was thinking the same thing actually

A lot.  The defense proposed a motion to dismiss coming back from lunch.

DA gave an explanation for his line of questioning.  Judge said DA is a seasoned prosecutor and didn't believe his excuse.

Judge is delaying his ruling on the dismissal until later.  We'll hear more arguments tonight or in the morning, I guess.

I'm not a lawyer but this must be what it looks like as a 1st year law student in a court room.

Then the law professor says. "Ok your doing it wrong...."

A prosecutor throwing his career away.

Horseshit, he's just taking one for "the team."  His political future is secure.

As a CNN commentator, sure.

Maybe so if he's telegenic.  Otherwise he'll be propped up in state-level politics until he decides he's done.

Holy shit.   I’m not a practicing attorney but my only ‘A’ in law school was CrimPro.  If you don’t think a bagpipe version of ‘Proud to be an American’ was planted digitally as the Judge’s ringtone is proof we’re living in a simulation since 2016…you’re part of the hard drive.

Or he is proud to be an American? I know weird for some here. Offensive actually. Good thing it wasn't God Bless Texas. I can only imagine the outrage.

Could you imagine the outrage if it was the Eyes of Texas?  My God.

Scene: KR... who had a fire extinguisher...who testified and was video'd running around with a fire extinguisher.

Questioning:

DA: "So you decided you needed to run [towards the Duramax] because of the fire on the Duramax?"

KR: "Yes"

DA: "Why? what was so urgent""

KR: "because.... it was on fire??"
