He stuffs it on 6

Great approach,  short 3-4ft putt for birdie for Spieth 💥💥💥

-9 thru 6    and 3 strokes back of Burns    (-3 on 6 holes today)

Edit:  Missed left into trap off the tee on #7.  2nd shot approach misses right of #7 green.   Will be a tough up and down.

Damn, Jordan hits great third to within 7-8ft.  Putt is a tough left breaker that he leaves short 2" on par attempt.

Bogey.      Back to -8  thru 7.   (-2 on today's round)

In 2nd, 4 strokes back of Burns

Since Fitz bogied too

Hell of a shot by Burns from near ivy right of green -- saves par on #6

Edit:  Jordan in fairway trap on left again hole #8.  Misses green on approach shot... Into penalty bunker. Tough out but gets on to green.  Has Long putt left for par and misses.  Bogey putt attempt is no gimmie

Bogey.     -7 thru 8 holes.     5 back

(3 birdies, and 2 bogeys so far)

wonder if they rolled them this morning

''They mowed and rolled this morning. Winds were much higher than expected and when you can't mark your ball on the green nothing you can do other than shut it down."

That's a text from one of the agronomists on tour.

That short #10 hole in higher winds means players probably just hope to hit trap left of that narrow green for any birdie chance.  Doubt you can lay up and hit an approach anywhere close to that hole on such a fast green

#10 green only 8yds wide.

Fast firm greens in high winds are just a bitch to score on...

Pssh. This generation of golfers is so coddled. Bobby Jones would have just holed each shot out from the fairway to avoid having to mark anything. Back when there used to be actual talent on tour.

I'm kind of surprised no one is hitting like 5 iron off the tee then just running it up that green from like 75 out. Knocking it up there and missing the green can be so brutal.

Edit... maybe DJs chip is all we need to know. Brutal.

If Burns backs up a couple shots, gonna be a decent shootout on Sunday...

Gave back 1 already... Burns at -11 thru 8 holes

Cantlay playing well again... -8 thru #11

Fitzpatrick  -8 thru #11

Jordan didn't see the availability of that much spin, he never does

That was a legitimate gripe... Sir Nick was really surprised by that action with that hole location.

But Jordan does often exaggerate quite a bit... 😂😂😂

Think Nance said #13 was Spieth's 9th missed green today -- seems more off with approach shots today.

Since I started watching, from #4 on his misses off tee have been just a little off fairway on left -- not horrible shots.

props to Burns for just keeping it real boring.

These greens aren't holding many approach shots that are close to these flag positions... like #14 downwind best shots are just over the green.

Looks like he doesn't need to.

Looking at DJ trying to catch here. Not Burns or Fitzpatrick. Jordan cant fall any further back. Keep it it within three shots of DJ.

Burns gave 2 back as soon as I gave him props.  Fitzpatrick only 2 back.

I need to look at the forecast for tomorrow.  If it's still windy, it could be a bloodbath.

Supposed to be until the evening.

Valid point... Fitz and Burns could falter, and then it's game on for several players including DJ, Cantlay, & Homa.

Jordan would really have to get hot -- I'm hoping Spieth can somehow just get another Top 10 finish...

Burns, Fitzpatrick and konkrak already bogey their first holes this morning, it’s tightening up. Is there any doubt DJ wins this?

I was thinking it might be DJ's to lose but we'll see.

I'm only keeping up with this online, PGAtour leaderboard and some twitter.

Are they sending the same groups out today, or are they going to regroup based on 3rd round leaderboard?

Re-pair in 3somes off #1 and 10

will be interesting seeing what Jordan can do chasing on Sunday instead of leading, make the round boring ain't cutting it today

Agree with this -- still think a Top 10 finish would be a good result for Jordan.

Make some magic happen JS !!! 🤘
