If they're incoming, he's killing it and getting better players.

If they're outgoing, they weren't starters and they aren't missing anything.

Wait, has he lost his mind and wakes up thinking he's coaching Texas football?

Saw on Reddit their season opener with North Dakota State has been moved to the Thursday night prime time spot in week 1.

This feels like a very high potential for early week 1 lulz.

It'd be a humorous start to the season, especially if it was because their O-line got wrecked by a bunch of guys named Tanner.

I have a feeling NDSU may have a chance to pull it off. A slight chance, but a chance nonetheless. Those midwest fed motherfuckers are a different breed.

I wonder why they haven't tried to move up to D1? Or if they have, what happened?

Would you rather get on ESPN and hang banners or go 2-10 every year?

Just seeing James Madison making the move makes me wonder if NDSU could do the same

I think perhaps they could, but a good AD would/should look at the current landscape and it's clear the haves are just getting more, the have not are only getting less. NDSU is a winner and I'm guessing gets good crowd attendance. Moving up to become a perennial last place team could greatly reduce that brand. Financially, I'm not sure it makes sense.

James Madison is basically twice the size of NDSU (22k students vs. 12k) and is also situated in a highly populated state surrounded by other highly populated states... it's a 2-hour drive to metro D.C., Baltimore, etc.

NDSU is in Fargo surrounded by several low population states. There's only one decent sized city anywhere close (Minneapolis-St. Paul) and it's 3.5 hours away.

It just seems that James Madison may have several built-in advantages, in terms of potential resources and recruiting base, that NDSU just doesn't have.

Appreciate the knowledge. I didn't even consider the population, etc. Makes a ton more sense now.

This is why UNM and NMSU should drop down for football.

What NFL team will want that kid leading their franchise?

Not any of the smart ones I wouldn't think. I'd be shocked if SF, LA Rams or now Chargers with Harbaugh, Miami, or Pittsburgh would use a first round pick on him.

He seems like the type of guy Jerry Jones would take high in the draft.

Prime movin' on. HC in NFL, whoever desperate enough come Jan '25. Take his boys in the Draft, pick up the right free agents, and Boom! Super Bowl Surprise!

Surly said it, right here, right now.

He’s more of a headache than Caleb Williams with half the talent. Jerry is a lock.

I'm gonna go ahead and guess that media hype and dad's NFL connections are what is driving this insane idea that Shaduer Sanders is some top QB prospect in this draft. I wouldn't be surprised at all for the expectations to not meet reality and for him to be sitting in that green room undrafted on the first night.

Your avatar reflects you very well.

What would it take for Prime to appeal to an NFL owner? Suppose - magic, I know, but just suppose - he could pick up those couple of games that last year they should have won but didn't, to go with the couple they shouldn't have won but did. So they get to 7-5 or so (magically, right?). Would that be enough for some moron NFL to put him on that next level?

I really, really doubt it - just like most surly folk, but if it happened, who'd be dumb enough to take a shit -- oooh, froodean, I mean a shot -- at him? Is there an owner that dumb?
