Can't lie... I was kinda hoping CU would have just enough gas to get into the CFP 12. For no other reason than to watch the tsunami of love-hate pour through the airwaves.

I gotta say I was impressed with the job he and his staff did this year. That loss to Nebraska could have sent them down a rough path, but they rebounded and did really well considering they have been moribund for so long. Next year should be interesting to see how they adjust without his son at QB and Hunter.

Prime deserved some of the vitriol he received here for posturing and such, but certainly not to the level that was posted. In fact, most of the haters here have simply stopped posting, since their 'worst coach ever' and 'won't win two games', etc, narratives has been disproven. Also, I don't see his players running amuck like they have at Georgia. The worst that happened was a player Tweeted that CU had a bad locker room culture and that player failed at Florida, too. Yet. somehow, I don't see a tenth of the comments in the Kirby Smart thread as we saw about here about thug culture, etc, etc. There is definitely a double standard for Prime.

A lot of people hated Deion way before he got to CU. Further, I can't think of a single head football coach that came in proactively looking to create buzz in his uniquely Deion ways. A lot of his comments were also uniquely Deion throughout his tenure.

I won't speak for others but I came here and gave credit to Deion for the marked improvement and admitted my incorrect prediction on his year.

In my defense I said very early on, over a year ago, that I was here for the Telanovela action. So are a lot of other people. Car wrecks get lookers.

Kirby has also gotten some shit. Could be more.

Agreed. I love the soap opera drama w his program. It’s always a circus and great entertainment. And he’s done lots of stupid stuff that only increases the entertainment value. Him going to the Cowboys would be must-see TV. Hard Knocks would become a year-round show permanently in Dallas.

Keep your goddamn hands off my coach!

Not one post after Hunter wins the Heisman, haha.

One thing that is missing throughout the college football landscape is more discussion about deion sanders and Colorado. They should start getting more footage of themselves and try to cater to more former athletes and other celebrities.

It’s a popularity contest. Most people figured you fools would be in here blowing each other and every member of the Colorado team.

I’ve never seen a media campaign like what Colorado trotted out for Hunter.

Resurrected a moribund program. Had a player win the Heisman. Was a game away from playing in the conference championship. He’s done better than I thought he would and most of his haters here have just given up posting. Good for him.

I will admit I’m shocked. I figured it would be the same as last season, maybe one more win.
Coach Neon did a good job hiring someone to fix their D.  CU now has as many heisman winners as Texas.  I think he chose CU because the color scheme was perfect for him and now they are back.
Should be looking at a bye in the playoffs next season.

Who? Colorado? They lose their two best players on offense.

their d is asshole. if they have the unfortunate decision to play the university of Texas then a buttfucking is what they'll get. can you please never compare Texas to Colorado ass again air possible.

well that is what the coach is for, right?  It's the Big 12 why should they take a step back?

All props to Deion and the CU staff/team. Two years ago I would’ve been a negative person to their situation.

Now that T Hunter is the reigning Heisman winner, it’s been since RG3 played for Baylor to play in the Alamo Bowl, to have that winner in SA.

Most!! 😘

There were some haters that recognized what an amazing athlete Hunter was and predicted he'd win the Heisman here and other threads.

There are some haters that have owned they great under estimated what Deion would accomplish this season.

There are also some haters that just grinned post the Kansas loss, for example.

I'll always own when my prediction or call was off. It's called being a grown up and I wish there was more of it, not just here but in the world in general. Too many folks view the world in binary black and white terms and the reality is its mostly gray.

I still hope for more Telenova action. With it being Prime, I'm confident more is yet to come. What exactly that drama will be I can't predict, but I'm 100% confident it is coming. I'll be here when it does.

For now, I'll just continue to pull against CU like I have since they started the downward spiral of the Big XII and since Rashan ran for about 10000 yards in DKR. Thank Johnny M.

I agree w your take, especially the Telenova part. Hoping he ends up with the Cowboys which would take it to supernova level.

Lol at anyone propping up CU. They fucking play in the dogshit big 12. You know, the conference that ASU just won and ISU finished 2nd in

its not a fucking accomplishment to win the big 12

its not a fucking accomplishment to play in the big 12 title game

its not a fucking by accomplishment to be within 1 game of PLAYING in the big 12 title game

hell, mike macintyre got 10 wins there, in a tougher conference even. Some of yall need to chill

He’s done better at CU than I expected. His top-end talent is pretty good. But he’s always going to have depth issues if he continues to operate this way. I think Shedeur has a lot of his father’s divisive team chemistry issues — seems like he’s out to “get his” and if the team wins too, great — but that dude can play QB in D1. I’m definitely more curious to see him in the NFL than any other QB who will get drafted in April sans QE3.

My main quibble with Deion is that I think he will bounce soon after his kids are gone. Where he goes, I have no idea.

It's all relative.  I don't think anyone here is over-hyping Colorado's season  But if you consider that program since Vince Young & Co. beat the ever-living shit out of the Buffaloes in the 2005 Big XII title game, it's been absolute garbage.  Until Deion went 9-3 this year, Colorado had exactly two winning seasons after 2005 -- 10-4 with Mike MacIntyre and 4-2 with Karl Dorrell in a shortened 2020 season.  Colorado football has sucked ass for the last two decades, and for them to go 9-3 this year two seasons removed from a 1-11 record is remarkable, even in a mediocre conference, and Deion deserves a good share of the praise.

I mean, is there a bigger stage and a better fit for Prime Time than under a numbskull owner who can't keep his hands out of the daily coaching aspects, and a team that is absolutely binary in the world of love and hate?

Supernova, no sir that's a black hole of ego energy that's sure to suck in the attention of the entire universe.

I'm here for it and excited.

I've no doubt that Hunter will succeed in the NFL. He's a put him wherever you need him skill player and based on everything I've read a go extreme team player.

Shaduer on the other hand, like you, strikes me as as me first primadonna. We've seen them flail multiple times in the NFL. He won't, probably, have his father to craft a world around him and defend him. It's not that I don't think he has the NFL talent, but unlike DB it's not a position that you can be a glory player and not dramatically effect the offense. It will absolutely be interesting to watch. Does he adapt and overcome or implode on his own arrogance and "music career".

I mean fuck it right. Bring on the circus that Deion would bring. (Personally, I think McCarthy has done nothing this year to justify firing him -- if you wanted him gone, do it after the last bad playoff loss.) If you can guarantee me Deion and Shedeur, where do I sign up?

I've only really been a quasi-Cowboys fan all these years anyway. I grew up hating them but finally gave up since for two reasons: 1) my Oilers went to Tennessee and shit-head Adams got the league to retire the Oilers' team name and uniform scheme; 2) moved to Dallas in 1998 and wanted to have a NFL team to cheer for again (if I'd moved to Jacksonville, I'd be a Jags fan, I guess).

I'm sure this thread will be super active next season. I'm not sure he can improve upon or even maintain this year's success without Hunter and Shedeur. If he does, there can be no legitimate dispute that he's a damn good coach.

If he can win 8 games without those two, and if Norvell can't get his shit together at Florida State, I can see FSU making a run at Deion.

Claim of ignorance here, but does FSU have the money Deion would demand if he's successful next year? I honestly don't know but the with all the effort to get out of the ACC for more money leads me to believe they might not.

Jerry on the other hand hates to depart with any money despite having plenty, however, he's as much of an attention whore as Deion and I just see both of them loving the media shit show going there would create. Plus, I could even see Jerry loving a package deal and he'd convince himself that he was making a great move to get an NFL QB and great new head coach. He'd probably pass on Hunter, cause that's too certain to be a great pick.

According to ESPN, Deion just landed the top defensive player in the portal, Bama DT, Jehiem Oatis.

Former Alabama defensive tackle Jehiem Oatis, the No. 1 defensive player in ESPN's transfer rankings, has committed to Colorado, he told ESPN on Monday.

The 6-foot-5, 320-pound junior was one of the most coveted players in the transfer portal and the No. 5 overall player in ESPN's transfer rankings. He has two more seasons of eligibility.

Oatis, the No. 38 overall recruit in the 2022 ESPN 300, started 13 games over his first two seasons at Alabama and appeared in four games in 2024.

Oatis is the latest big-name transfer to join coach Deion Sanders at Colorado. The Buffaloes' portal-heavy approach to rebuilding their roster paid off in 2024 with a 9-3 record and a No. 23 finish in the final College Football Playoff rankings.on State into a nationally relevant team.

"Just seeing Coach Prime go first to Jackson State, where I'm from, and just to see him coach at Jackson State and see what he did for them," Oatis told ESPN. "Then coming over to Colorado and make this team great again. It was a really great thing to do."
