Football legend Joe Montana said a home intruder tried to take his 9-month-old grandchild before he and his wife, Jennifer, thwarted the alleged kidnapping, Los Angeles police said Sunday. Montana tweeted on Sunday that it was a "scary situation, but thankful that everybody is doing well."

According to police, Montana told them his 9-month-old grandchild was sleeping in the playpen on Saturday when an unknown woman allegedly entered the residence and removed the child from the playpen and held the baby in her arms. Police said Montana and his wife confronted the woman, attempted to de-escalate the situation and asked for her to give back their grandchild.

A "tussle" then ensued and Jennifer Montana was able to safely pry the child out of the suspect's arms, police said. The suspect then allegedly fled, and Montana flagged down police......

joe didn’t do anything.  it was all wife.

This is what I took away from the article. I pictured Joe sitting there reading the paper while his wife tussled with the kidnapper

I was just with Joe Montana in ND a few weeks ago for a commercial. Good dude. His body has definitively taken a toll from being a QB.

It's always amazing to see people on the screen vs real life--usually much smaller and sometimes more frail.  Side note, nice humblebrag.

Joe probably stiffed her on an hj payment.

Holly Hunter sparked something in me as a kid that probably had a less than desirable effect towards choosing my future romantic interests

A relative in Florida said there was an uptick in kidnappings. She sent me a video where some ladies were at a restaurant with a 9 yr old girl, and some random dude jumps over the deck and grabs the girl. Fortunately some bigger dude was on him in a flash and held him down until the cops arrived.

Hide yo wife, hide yo kids

Bumped into her and Joe at a store in Napa 20+ years ago.  She remains one of the most stunningly beautiful human beings I have ever seen in person.  And tall.  And fit.  I'm betting she was more than formidable enough to get the job done and whoop kidnapper ass.

Remember when he was shit faced and was hitting on that sideline reporter? Classic Namath.

Surly Horns Hall of Fame move.
Joking aside, Joe said his Suzy Kolber moment was what prompted him to get help w his addiction problem. As I recall, he said he was ‘disgusted’ with himself. I hope he got the help he needed.

And let's be honest, Joe is kinda goofy looking.  Being able to throw a football better than anyone on the planet has its advantages.

Man, I hope he got the help he needed, too. I'm happy he owned up to it. I was embarrassed for him. I hope he's doing well these days.

And you're not wrong. Must be that Pennsylvania look. But damn that nose. Has Family Guy ever done a skit on that? Would be hilarious lol
