Where were these people in 2008 when a half-black Muslim, atheist, Marxist, Socialist, Democratic, closeted homosexual born in Kenya, raised in Indonesia, and planted in Hawaii was running for the White House?

Why weren't they able to lift a Vietnam war hero over Obama?

I agree that Trump taps into something within them, but I would have thought Obama would have triggered the fuck out of them.

Maybe they didn’t care 4 or 8 years ago. Maybe they were 22. Maybe they were normal. It’s not as simple as “they’re racist today they must have been racist 12 years ago!”

why didn’t they lift a Vietnam war hero? Probably because he didn’t make them feel special and appeal to their loneliness and need to be a part of something.

I believe it is 100% as Underminer has demonstrated. I think lots of dipshit who didn't vote and didn't care have jumped onboard the MAGA train. QAnon wasn't a thing 4 years ago either, at this level. And yet, here we are...

I am definitely aware that there are plenty of people (friends of my wife's Facetrons friends) who are Qanon or Qanon-adjacent who are voting for the first time ever because of all this Q bullshit.

I don't trust Rove on any numbers.  He's not out there to be a pollster, he's out there to be a Republican strategist.

If he thinks the GOP needs a shot in the arm, he'll push numbers that show Trump is in a close race (or even losing), and therefore the Trump supporters will feel pressured to vote.  Trump supporters watching will think "hmmm... "3% seems close, I better vote!"

He's not going to push higher numbers that depress GOP turnout, unless he truly thinks Trump has it in the bag.

Maybe but he hates trump and he’s on record as saying Bidens more likely to win texas than Trump win PA. I’m not saying he doesn’t have a bias but I think he tried as much as possible to put it away.

Just saw Rove in fox right now- said he’s crunched all the early numbers and has trump up 3, maybe 4. Like him or don’t Karl Rove is really smart and knows Texas really well. It sounded plausible. Nobody knows for sure. Which of you can say that about Texas shows Trump has almost no shot of winning nationally.

If rove is saying trump is only plus 3 In Texas that means trump is losing.

None taken. He’s also smarter than any one of you monkeys posting here so I thought I’d share. You know- since it was directly on topic.

No, he's not.  He's more experienced at what he does, and hence is a vastly more competent campaign strategist.  But most of the posters on here are smarter than Karl Rove.

This. Like I said. If Karl Rove is out there saying trump is only up in Texas by 3 that actually means he’s losing Texas right now and needs a shot in the arm.

I’m sorry. I meant any of us monkeys on here. Truly wasn’t meant as an insult, rather a joke. I call myself a dumb monkey all the time. It’s an inside family joke bc we buy 10 bunches of bananas every week.

That puts Harris over 1.2 million and 40k short of 50%. The 4 biggest counties should all pass 50% turnout tomorrow.

Damn. 1.3 millions voted in total in 2016.

a couple more days and they will pass total voted record before the election

It’s my family of 5. So- that’s 2 bunches of bananas a person. But my son eats 4 bunches a week. He eats about 4 bananas a day. He’s super skinny and underweight and I looked it up and it doesn’t appear as if you can OD on bananas. That leaves 1 or 2 a person a day for the rest of the family.

I’m with jimmy on this one. That’s a lot of bananas, flip flop.

It really is. I almost always ha e to go to the store midweek for more bananas and more milk. We can’t keep enough in fridge or on shelf without spoiling. And if they do spoil I make banana bread for the weekend.

So do y’all drink like 10 gallons of milk a week? How big is your fridge?

So Harris County basically held pace with yesterday through their regular hours (actually will end up with maybe a 5% increase which is normal in the last week of early voting). We will see how many extra votes the three extra hours create. However, I think at this point we're just trading Election Day votes for early votes, with the caveat that some people who vote during these extended hours wouldn't have voted without them. There's obviously a percentage of people who plan to vote on Election Day and then something happens and they don't.

My wife was one of those in 2016 because our oldest was in the hospital in serious condition and she didn't want to leave the room.

He does not hate Trump.  He was consulting with the campaign during the summer.  I don't trust what he says.  He has an agenda.  Read the CNN article about the 5G company he represents that is about to get rich from Trump making the pentagon deal with them?

The bananas are the snacks. Or apples or cutie oranges. I’m trying to teach my kids not to be great big disgusting fat people like their dad is.

Dr. told me bananas are diabetes sticks.

You know if you freeze bananas that the skin turns black but the inside stays fresh? We used to do that when our children were smaller. Now one of my children eats three bananas at a time. (Not overweight-distance runner)

He's got business interests that benefit from Trump winning.

When I hear him saying Biden is more likely to win Texas, that screams to me that he's trying to get Trump supporters in Texas who were going to sit at home, content that Trump would win, to get off their asses and vote.
