Looks like it's going to have a pretty good field.  Dustin, Brooks, Ricky, Jason Day have already committed and I'm sure there will be more.

Also:  A limited number of tickets (2,000 per day) are being sold.  Tickets go on sale to public tomorrow.  Looks like there is a pre-sale today.

I will be there (provided I get tickets) Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

Cheers.

Tee times are up https://www.pgatour.com/tournaments/houston-open/tee-times.html
Jordan with Brooks and Lanto Griffin 7:25/12:05

I used to play Memorial 20+ years ago, will I recognize it at all?

Not much. Jim Crane completely renovated it to get the tournament venue inside the loop. I haven’t played it but I know many who have. It’s supposed to be a very good course.

Still early, but they are not tearing up Memorial Park. Many of the early starters are finished. -3 is leading. Jordan went bogey, bogey, double and is now +1 and four back.

finished par, double, par for a cool back nine 40 and score of +3

Yeah. I was way off on this one. I thought they would crush this course.  Must be a lot of changes from when I played it prior to the redo.

It's a totally different course from what I hear. A lot longer too.

They actually didn't make it longer.  The green complexes are pretty challenging with small target areas (despite being relatively large).  Barley any bunkers...which pros usually have no issue with.

Just getting a chance to check the scores...

I see Spieth’s front nine. maybe he is starting to figure it out!!!

Nope...

Yeah, I was surprised (but not shocked) as he was 1 shot out of the lead after the front 9 (maybe tied after #10) and then fell to 73 by the end of the day, and he will likely need to be 70 or better to play the weekend at Memorial Park

For what it's worth, I'm likely to blame for his performance as I put him on my fantasy team this week - for the first time in over a year.

Post round interviews yesterday were interesting. The bermuda rough didn’t look that bad but it was thick enough to prevent a good shot to the green. And the green complexes were very difficult if you missed the green in the wrong spot. Doak and Koepka did a good job with the course. As of a few minutes ago there were only 31 players under par.
