Finish the wall? Abolish property taxes? Would love to know how this motherfucker plans to pay for not just the wall, but anything without our property taxes?

Oh, you want to implement state income tax? Well gollee that will go over swell. Of course the obvious answer is he'll jack up sales tax because lets fuck the poor!

Don't forget preventing non-existent election fraud.  He might as well be a Trump wind-up doll.

They're all trump wind up dolls at this point. But that basic shit which was completely unnecessary for him to even say is just laugh out loud ludicrous.

You gotta be in fascination of the GQP primary environment.

What does it take to defeat a sitting Republican in Texas?  Something like another Republican, but worse.

It's a race to the bottom, but in a vacuum, so there is no terminal velocity.....we just keep falling faster, and faster, until we approach light-speed-idiocy.

Sooooo how exactly would this guy end property taxes??

He won't. He just has to say that he will put Texas on a path towards that end. It makes no difference if he actually accomplishes it or not. The GOP voter simply doesn't give a shit. Its like Obamacare. They campaigned relentlessly on fixing healthcare, yet when they had the presidency and the House and Senate, they  did less than shit about it. Its all talk from these slapdicks. And their voters apparently don't care. All that matters is owning libs on social media.

Not to mention....

Quote

Texas has no state property tax. The Texas Constitution and statutory law authorizes local governments to collect the tax. The state does not set tax rates, collect taxes or settle disputes between you and your local governments.

Yep, it's not about how something gets done.  GOP primary votes don't care how the sausage is made, they just want to hear things they like.

Don's daughter, Deirdre, was in the news recently.  she was tossed out of church for not wearing a mask.  she's married to James Hairston, a former LSU kicker.

they had a massive wedding in NYC.  i know all this stuff because James is a big P1 of the Ticket in Dallas, so they talked about all this stuff when the news of his wife broke out.

not sure how fiscally responsible old Don Huffines is:

Deirdre pulled off that paradox with an epic New York event that combined sacred family traditions with unusual treats, including performances by hip-hop band The Roots, 10 Rockettes and members of the New York Metropolitan Opera.

Mexico is going to pay your propert taxes.

ok in all honesty property taxes need an overhaul.  But people are dumb.

Agree completely property tax is some stupid shit for primary gov funding. But it’s in our state constitution and they even passed an amendment last yr outlawing state income tax. So we just gonna jack up some sales tax to 25%?

Naaah.  It will be a totally neutral and fair tax on all purchases by anyone who has paid for a taco de lengua in the past 5 years, something like that.  Totally neutral, totally fair.

I'm going to laugh when abbot gets primaried.

Then I'm going to cry when the guy that beats abbot wins the general.

fixy

although now that I think about it, the Texas GQP just might be able to attain the impossible-- actual light speed idiocy.

Real man of the people there, a real Texan with a daughter having a wedding like that.  Really conservative.

Isn't Don's brother, James Huffines?  The go-to appointee for everything and anything Gov. Abbott needs?  Awkward.

Believe so; the one who was a regent for a long time. I think there are three or four brothers IIRC.

So this constitutional carry that Abbott and Patrick have a hard-on to pass...this means with to-go alcohol.  That since most on-premise bars won't allow carry inside...you can get a temporary reprieve by carrying on premise, getting your alcohol to go while packing, and if your order isn't filled in a timely fashion...you can just start blasting?  The only thing more dangerous than a drunk with a pistol is a guy with a pistol starting to sober up because his next few rounds didn't come fast enough.

This is just a wonderful combination brought to us by really top-notch leadership.  Meantime, how's our electrical grid doing sir?
