Right there with you, man. I'd love to relocate to Colorado once my kids are gone in five years.

C-man…I know parenting is tough sometimes dude but please don’t kill your children in 5 years.

Reminder, Regeneron was developed from aborted fetal stem cells and helped Abbott live this long without a blood boy.

We lost to OU because of Abbot. I didn’t realize it at the time but his lame ass on the field rolling around acting like the jackass that he is before the game cost us the game. Sucks.

I welded you a picture of goatse after you asked me to do it myself, and I got nothing for it.

Just a single picture?  Do you not celebrate Goatse Man's entire back catalog of dozens of images and minutes of video?

Abbott and Huffines both being at the game generated a vortex of suck that easily overwhelmed OU's vortex of suck.

Yep. That total vortex of complete shitheel idiocy was too much for Casey Thompson and the Horns to overcome. Frankly in hindsight given the presence of those two idiots the result was inevitable and I can’t even argue with it. Sucks.

My young daughter appreciates you welding a real life Paw Patrol badge for her.  ;)

For serious though---Please tell me you didn't wear a welding mask while making that.  Those masks trap in dangerous CO2 just like Covid-19 masks!!!!!

Not everyone is a welder. You're thinking of a hood. He's actually talking about an n95 facemask to protect your lungs from carcinogens that are in the air as you weld.

carcinogens??? that's just what those business-hating LIBRULS say to justify their BUSINESS KILLING REGULATIONS(!!!) that hurt small business profits! The founding fathers didn't say anything about facemasks or carcinogens in the constitution!

Rightly so, we make fun of aggy, how they are backwards, intolerant, uneducated and just how fucking redneck stupid they are. The irony is that this state is now firmly in their political and social views. The state republicans have fully adopted the aggy mindset. Absolutely disappointed that a UT graduate would adopt the backwards ideology of a school which he probably routinely mocks for being idiots.

Yea, time to get the fuck out of this state.

If Matt jumped into the Governor's race, aggy would be faced with choosing between three Longhorns.

Southlake/ Carroll ISD admin has to tell teachers they need to have 'both sides'

"Southlake Admin Says Teachers Should Offer Opposing Views to Holocaust

It sounds like an Onion headline. It's not.

---

Anyway, tonight on Nightly News With Lester Holt, Hixenbaugh and Hylton will break off a piece of this absolutely insane story that they just put online. In trying to keep up with HB3979, the new Texas law that “requires teachers to present multiple perspectives when discussing ‘widely debated and currently controversial’ issues,” a Southlake administrator told teachers that if they have any books about the Holocaust in their classrooms, they also need to have a book offering an “opposing” perspective. NBC has a recording of the meeting in which this guidance was given."

The book in question was in 4th grade teacher's room. The subject being that racism is bad.

Crossposting, but Huffines is aware he's pulling Abbott's strings.  I mean, he already knew it based on the Houston Chronicle turning up emails from state employees responding to Huffines's tweets, but he's making sure everybody knows it.

If Huffines somehow won and ditched the property tax and prevented an income tax, a whole shitload of Trumpkins are going to find out that their trips to Walmart would become Really Fucking Expensive.

I really don't understand how bringing more load and demand onto the grid will improve the stability of the grid lol... It's all just pandering to feckless idiots while abdicating his responsibility to actually improve the grid and protect hundreds of Texans from freezing to death

Oh totally, but I more just wanted to point out the absurdity of it trying to use market forces (increasing demand) to motivate more capacity getting built. You really don't think the grid operators won't just raise prices and pocket the increased profits?? It's what they've already been doing, and why were in this mess.

Just stupid, stupid shit.

I should look into getting solar and local power storage. I don't trust public utilities to withstand any sort of event, especially considering that state senators (on both sides of the aisle) have been sounding alarms on the lack of grid hardening

He's not pandering to feckless idiots.

He's pandering to donors.  If you go back and look at his tweets and comments about bitcoin (and Ted Cruz has been pushing it as well), I have no doubt that you could find some donations that line up perfectly with the time frame.

Just like when Huffines entered the race and he veered hard right.

Everything is a reaction with Abbott - no originality.  He wasn't courting the bitcoin people because he had some kind of brilliant insight about the power grid.

Also, if the grid fucks around again (and it will), I bet those bitcoin operators won't be like "OH MY GOSH TEXANS ARE HAVING PROBLEMS, SHUT EVERYTHING DOWN TO HELP THEM" because most, if not all of the people who own the operations will be in other states and not giving a fuck.

No, this is just a good way to put more load on the grid and burn through our resources to make some donors happy (and richer).
