The Robert Mueller Investigation

It's becoming increasingly clear Russia supported Brexit. Long read but well worth it:

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2018/jun/16/arron-banks-nigel-farage-leave-brexit-russia-connection

Quote

Because what we appear to see through Banks and Wigmore is a linked series of relationships between the Trump campaign – via Steve Bannon – to the public face of Leave.EU’s campaign, Nigel Farage. Through Farage to Banks and Wigmore. And through Banks and Wigmore to the Russian government. Whether it’s a channel for anything else is for other specialist investigators to figure out. Because ever since Watergate, we’ve known that you need to follow the money.

But, in this the new age of information, there are new lines to pursue. One can follow the lies, for example. The meetings Banks and Wigmore admit they lied about, a third passport – a diplomatic one from Belize – that Banks told me about last year, but which he denied to MPs on Tuesday. Wigmore is the country’s trade envoy to the UK. A legal letter they told MPs they’d sent to the Atlantic Council but which the head counsel of the Atlantic Council told the Observer, many months ago, they had never received.

In 2016, Brexit and Trump were the first fake news elections. Though by “fake news”, one means sophisticated information operations, developed out of hybrid warfare techniques – pioneered by Russia and now aped across the world. In 1972, the year of the Watergate break-in, money was the sole source of power.

Today, information is also power. This is “asymmetric warfare”. It’s how an economically struggling power – Russia – can strike a blow against the richest nation in the world. Through weaponising words. And unleashing them in ways we can’t understand or even see.

This may help explain why Nunes doesn’t currently have security clearance and has to use Gowdy to read the intel.

Agreed. It's pretty obvious his clearance has been pulled at this point. He used to use his staff, now it's Gowdy.

Jesus, tweedledum and tweedledumber (pods is the dumber) at it again.  I know you both believe that anything printed in the media or tweeted by people we have never heard of is fact, but at some point you are going to have to try and at least pretend to have brains.  You actually think that the CURRENT head of the house intel committee doesn't have a security clearance?  That a guy who is a member of the "gang of eight" that get regular classified briefings doesnt have a security clearance?  Maybe you two should alert our intelligence community because they keep giving Nunes briefings on all things intelligence related for our country.  The combined credibility of you two is laughable.

I especially like pods hot take that Nunes doesnt have a clearance so he has his staff get intel for him.  It is hard to even comprehend this level of stupidity.  I mean that is a perfect secure style right?  Deny someone a security clearance but let his staff have one so they can relay the intel to him.

Were you guys this dumb before trump?

Trying to decide which one of these fuckers I want to see dangling from the end of a rope the most is like trying to decide on the hottest coed in a sundress and cowboy boots at the first tailgate of football season.

Both are intellectual exercises that just make me grin from ear-to-ear, too.  Excellent.

Is this delay in speaking to the special counsel only going to hurt Trump in the long run? The longer Trump waits, the more Mueller will have the pieces of the story together and will be more likely to perjure himself.  They aren't learning that things were truly above board, they're learning more of the detail of the traitorous actions, financial crimes, and general corruption that Trump and Associates have committed over the last several years.  At least by talking to him as soon as possible you can get a feel for where the investigation is headed.  Certainly they're trying to find back channels to what the witnesses have already testified about, but with Manafort getting popped, I doubt folks are eager to reach out to the President.  Trump is making it harder on himself. Yes, I realize it's just delaying the inevitable SC ruling when he defies the subpoena, but damn I'd being trying to get all the info I could first hand.

Any delay helps Trump.

So I’ve concluded the Mueller investigation isn’t going to be over before the midterms for one big reason, the midterms.

Mueller’s team is probably sitting in the grass watching what the Russians are doing and going to do this cycle.  He likely has targets here in the U.S. to watch during the process.

Mueller ongoing also acts as deterrent for any would be traitor that would seek outside interference.

Who the fuck is Sara A Carter? Post the full article, because I'm not giving them any gratuitous clicks.

Well she has over 369,000 followers on Twitter, and I've been told on this very board right here that the number of Twitter followers a source has is very important.

That article didn't say much. Meadows suggested it during questioning and the article doesn't even say if there was a response to that statement.

The only response provided in the article is to a separate question when he asked about the names of two agents.

I mean, the queen of spain is a little more to my type, but I dont think Im going with an X.

Maybe if shown a candid photo of her instead of a Sears portrait studio pic, I'd change my tune. Btw, I think it's well established that you and I have the same physical, if not psychological (emphasis on psycho), type. Unfortunately, I think we'd be rather shitty wingmen for one another.

Going big no on the psychological profile.  I like my baby momma sane. But otherwise, head nod.
