The Robert Mueller Investigation

Re the Senate, all these guys are white collar criminals. White collar criminals flip like pussies under duress, or for the money.

When they start seeing themselves in front of a pissed off federal judge calling them traitors, they'll abandon Trump.

You have to get them to visualize who is really in charge here. Trump? Or The FBI.

Once they see, they'll tow along with impeachment.

I don't believe that is the case.  Pardoning someone does not block their future cooperation; in fact, it compels it because their crimes have already been pardoned.

Legally true, but factually maybe not.  We know he's willing to lie.  The threat of jail time is what makes him tell the truth.

The GOP Senators are transactionalists too. They've steadily defended Trump yet slightly broken with him from time to time just to check the waters. As in Kashogi.

One more indictable story that breaks and they may find an agreeable cover to split with him.

MSNBC anchor predicts Robert Mueller will let Ivanka Trump and Donald Trump, Jr. avoid prison if their dad resigns

I really don't understand this train of thought.  Why not go for the jugular and toss every one of these grifting fucks in the pen?   Why just wipe the slate clean if he agrees to resign?   What happens to all the other cases?  Mueller can't pull the plug on the state cases, right?

I just don't get it.

Who beyond his audience cares what Chris Matthews predicts? This does not deserve a headline.

I think Mueller would be wrong to strike such a deal if he is indeed considering it. Crooks need to go to jail. I think that's where he stands as well.

A judge just raised the charge of treason in Flynn's case. You don't get soft on such crimes.

The most I'd offer Trump is not publicly cuffing him and letting him turn himself in. I'd take his passport and ground his planes until he did.

A judge who read the FULL sentencing report, including the redacted portions.

A federal judge doesn't utter the term "treason" in a criminal proceeding lightly.  He's not a pundit looking for clicks on his site.  He's a serious-ass motherfucker, who has seen some serious-ass shit in that sentencing report.

Again, it bears repeating: the current GOP is in open collaboration with a hostile foreign power to control our government.  That is an actual thing, that's actually happening.

🙄 Tapper looking for clicks. The “lawyer’s decision” came after a pretty strong hint from the bench.

yeah, and he was on the fucking air when that shit was going down. that's a pretty disingenuous telling of the story. it wasn't just one hint. he asked them once if they would like to delay, they said "my body is ready", judge gave a brief recess, came back and said "dudes, are you SURE you don't want to delay sentencing?" it was at this point flynn's lawyers realized we are talking about federal pound me in the ass prison if judge doesn't get some satisfaction on this fucking cooperation thing.

anyways.

How in the BLUE FUCK is that okay? The GOP is acting, in open concert with a foreign government, to control our country.  What the everloving fuck?  Again, set the legal issues aside...how in the fuck do you defend this?

Just check out the threads on the War on Christmas, Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, and the Caravan.  All we need is a college student safe space thread, another Clinton emails thread, and a thread misstating something pending in the California legislature.

Edit to add: they're also quite concerned about "censorship" from advertisers leaving Tucker Carlson.

They're looking to lose again if this is the result-- this is bigger than Trump. There is no high road here and it's better to finally, take a stand--somewhere at some time.  Show the American people what happened because it's the honest thing to do rather than the DC thing which is yet another deal.

I'm glad they stand with General Flynn, his 33 years of service and his 3 stars.  I can only assume they also stand with Admiral McRaven, given his 37 years of service and 4 stars.

I mean, it just makes sense.

Right?

I agree with their tweet. I was hoping that Flynn and his family would receive justice.

The judge seems ready to give it to him.

Reminds me of the old joke where the lawyer messages his client about the result of a proceeding - "Justice was done!"  Client replies "APPEAL IMMEDIATELY!"

Flynn doesn't want justice.  If he gets justice, he won't ever sit right again.

(CNN)Four days after attorneys secretly argued over a grand jury subpoena suspected to be related to special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into Russian influence in the 2016 election, a federal appeals court is forcing an unnamed company to comply with the subpoena.

The appeals court did not identify the company, nor did the appellate judges say the subpoena was related to the Mueller investigation. The company that sought to quash the subpoena is owned by a foreign country, the ruling Tuesday said.

My guess would be Viktor V’s Renova, which donated big to inauguration fund.

Evidently it relates to a 'state owned' company.  Renova doesn't make that list.  Rosneft would qualify.

also a couple of points from the sub-tweets:

This feels like Concord Management, who made the same sovereign immunity claim in their civil case with the DNC, and is also related to Russia.

Otherwise could be the QIA (Qatar Investment Authority), who was involved in the sale of Rosneft.

The Steele memo said that some massive stake in Rosneft was dangled to Trump, right? And then, after the election like 1/3 of the company shares were transferred to unnamed private entities? As if it was being laundered or vested with dummy corporations in preparation to sell off? That whole angle has been super quiet lately. I am probably off in how I remember this but the basic story was like that.

Gonna google this now. BRB.

So Flynn has nothing Russia collusion related is coming out of the Flynn case and it’s all focused on Turkey?  That’s too bad.

It literally says in the Mueller filing he gave "substantial assistance" in Russia collusion investigation.  Then the whole section is redacted.  And the judge asked Mueller today if they considered charging him with treason.  But you're right, nothing came out of this.  All Turkey.
